Any guitarists care to comment on which technique Chet's using at about 1:30 on during the bridge. It sounds like some kind of fingerboard-tapping method. it's clear he's not using a pick there, and by tapping with both hands is able to play two different parts simultaneously.
Hi Doug. It think this is my favorite cut, although comparing Chet against himself is a real tough job. His music is always magic. Thanks for sharing.
I like this one the best because it has less effects than the other two, and shows true honest guitarpicking and not something that is depended on echo or flancer effects. This is the way I like it. Allthough his Gretsch usually has a sweeter tone than what is shown here. The version I like the most though is the boston pop live version which leads him to I can't stop loving you (rare perfomances dvd)

all 3 versions are just wonderful, but I think the 1st version you posted is my favorite. Hard to choose though. :)
