Bob Seger is just awsome the passion he has on stage is just unbelivable. If you see him live you will know what Im talking about... \m/ Rock on Bob \m/
Bob Seger you are one of a kind, your music is undescribable, you are truly one of the best of the best.thank you for allowing us to hear you sing your song's.God Bless You Bob Seger.sincerely mtd45 and I speak for all of your fan's.
My Dad was a ramblin man also. He was an Organ Grinder with Monkey. He traveled all over and took us with him a lot. My life growing up is expressed in the words of Seger's songs. My Dad had a job painting office buildings late at night. They were always located on the main street of the small towns. I remember the streets being dark, lonely, & empty. His song Main Street brings back those memories. I raised my kids on his songs. They helped me through so much, you just don't know. ROCK & ROLL!
Billy Cosagen needs MAN UP and KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT. A true artist never says sh**t about another artist. The SMASHING PUMPKINS were created thru MTV and promotion SEGER paid his dues,,Like WILLY and CASH did "ON THE ROAD" going to the people
this cat seems down to earth, never really follow him sense i havent been into this style of music but after watching this video i was actually thinking wow this man sick lol
Obviously , this Dick Head Pumpkin's did not live Segers life or write the words that Seger writes about of what he has lived. All truth ! Listen to his words ARSEHOLE , you might learn something other than being a Pumkin fill in for a Martha Stewart pie Sorry to be soooo late in writing this !
I remember back in the 70's and this was all you heard was Seger..on the radio, bars, friends partys..thank you Bob for a lot of good times and thanks bigwali for sharing this..
I'm not a huge Seger fan, but he has made some great records, like "Hollywood Nights," "Night Moves," "Turn the Page, "Travellin' Man" and "Beautiful Loser." He also made a terrific cover of Creedence's "Fortunate Son," which I wish was on YouTube. AND he seems to be a truly decent guy:).
That was awesome...took me back. I'm glad I found this. I was lucky enough to see Bob & the Silver Bullet Band 3 times back in the late 70's early 80's. Turn the page indeed!
I agree, Bob Seger is the best ever but did these ignorant editors have to use Old time rock n roll as a bridge like 7 times? Could've used so much more of Bobs catlogue
True, but in things like this, most of the people that would watch this on TV are just the casual consumers. They'll recognize it more than something like Jody Girl, which appeals more to us big Seger fans. If you use only the deep tracks for advertisements, you're not getting anywhere. You have to use the familiar stuff, then the viewer will take it upon themself to get deeper into Bob's music. Then, they'll get like you. A big Seger fan that likes the deep stuff. That's what gets more fans.
Bob Seger's song Sunburst was the first song I ever remember hearing. I was 3 years old and just happened to curiously press whatever corresponding on the 8 track tape player. I still have a strong connection to the song to this day though I rarely hear it played.
Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet band have created the soundtrack to America! Great, honest, wholesome and just feels so good to listen to. He is a real life role model.
thanks Bob for all the great music...still listen to it and love it after thirty years...you are THE MAN and always will be..livin inside my heart!!!!!!!!!
I've been listening to Bob for many years. It seems like his music is the soundtrack to my life since hearing him for the first time in '74. I have SOOOO many memories of going to parties and it was the most natural thing in the world to arrive and hear Seger's music rocking the place! I'm forever grateful to Bob for provinding so much great, honest American Rock N Roll!
I had the oppurtunity to go see Bob Seger on the comeback tour when he came to Little Rock, but I chose not to. It was front row, too. I'm regreting it, but I was really sick, and I wouldn't have enjoyed it. At least I got to see ZZ Top since I couldn't see Seger.
MOST PRO ALL TIME CHART TOPPER. He never let drugs or the "scene" control him and when I see him since the 70s most of the crowd is WAY younger than me ! I grew up in S.Mi. and have seen him at least 40 times growing up in the 60s & 70s. I have never been let down by one of his shows. I last saw him at his last Miami Fl. show in 96 before he took a break yo be a daddy. I still have the dog tags I bought at the concert. If your not drenched in sweet after his shows your dead ! Rock on Mr. Bob !
Who cares , Those arent even his best songs? Turn the page , Beautiful loser ? , Still the same , Wait for me , Katmandu , every song he writes is platnium worthy , those two are my least favorite.
321 advantor could not agree with you more ...this is MUSIC..This is the heart and soul of our generation, Cruisin the local strip with Seger cranked up on the ol 8 track..lol..later the cassete player now he's still thumpin out the tunes on those high dollar systems off a brand new shiny CD...wow brings back some great memories of a less stressful time and place, this is the kind of music you put on the head phones at our age turn it up, kick back in the recliner and go back to that time.
Thank you - this post made my day! Being from Detroit and 50 now, it's great to see him coming back and still playing great music. Pay attention kiddies - this is Music and this is Rock n Roll.
...never sugar coated anything...AWESOME and soooo true...I believe that's why so many of us can relate to his songs...the man is "for real" in everything he does...a legend in his own time...yet still down to earth and loves his fans...Seger Rules!!! Thanks for the post and sharing.

It's uncanny how much Bob Seger sounds like David Lee Roth when giving an interview. They not only sound alike, but both have a tendency to laugh at what they just said.
He is the greatest singer ever. I am 56 and have all his music and seen him everytime he has been in Atlanta, Ga.and great seats and even made some wonderful pics last time he was here. I am in luv with this man and he is very sexy and a sexy voice.
@kskbills Billy Cosagen(SP) Of the Smashing Pumpkins said in A concert in Detroit that Bob Seger was not a true artist. I say fuck you dick, you won't be puting out an album when you are 60 and have to go to #4 on the charts. He is a product of MTV and didn't tour the midwest for yours until he became a star. Bob Seger is Rock and Roll, Billy is a dick and should be banned from Detroit for ever. Smack him in the face if you see him please!
@Mr21Roberto21 I agree with you. Bob Seger is a true artist. He's 65 and touring starting January 2011. I should go shove a dildo up his ass for saying that about a TRUE artist. all these heavy metal artists think he's gay. Even the teens of today say he sucks.
@segerfan Hi, That's fantastic news that he's going to tour again! I looked on his website and couldn't find anything definite. Where did you hear about the new tour?
@Mr21Roberto21 ... Grew up as a boy listening to Seger in the backseat... In my teens, I really got into the Smashing Pumpkins - very good music, but.. as you say - a product of MTV. Still love the Pumpkins and looking back on the teen years.. but the candle burns stronger and longer for Seger. A true artist.
@Mr21Roberto21 Bwa...who does that douche bag think he is. What did we hear of Billy anymore after the SP split up. Bob is amazing!! So I totally support your comment!
love him <3 ... i just started listening to him, can someone please write down a few of his best songs? because i don't really know which are nice and which aren't ..
There are so VERY many that that's a tough question...and even harder to answer when I don't know your tastes.
Off the top of my head, if you want the sort of "nice" meaningful music that touches you and not just rocks you then here's a little list: Beautiful Loser, Jody Girl, Turn the Page, Night Moves, Mainstreet, Still the Same, We've Got Tonight, Against the Wind, Roll Me Away, Comin' Home, Like a Rock, The Ring, and New Coat of Paint
You are absolutely correct my friend--so many GREAT soungs...wasn't (and ain't)sure about The Ring, Paint, etc...
But ya. I've been to Detroit ONCE (as a Packer Fan of course) going to a game...I guess if Bob will only play in that area, then...so be it. I will make the trip. Worth it, for sure!!! Thanks!
Great to see this interview. I have followed Bullet Bob since I saw him first in Kalamazoo MI - at Western Mi. Univ. Love the man!! (Matter of Fact my son's name is Robert!!) I've seen him 12 times, 3 times on this recent tour. What an entertainer. My goal in life is to sit and have a conversation with him. He writes & sings about things the average midwesterner can relate to. Keep it up Bob - we love you!!!
I agree with loosescrew. Bob is all American. I have seen in twice in concert. many years ago in alpine valley(wi)He blew out the speakers at that concert! Then I was lucky enough to see him again when he starting touring in fall of 2006 in Milwaukee.
I am a Seger and a Springsteen fan. But I never understood Springsteen's criticism that Bob sold out by selling Like a Rock to GM. Seger is a Michigan guy. Of all people he knows the struggles of the autoworkers. If he can help move a few GM cars and maybe keep some lineworkers employed, good for him. After all, you write music for it to be heard.
Dude questioning the leaders is not going against the soldiers. Why is that Toby Keith can diss The Dixie Chicks, but when the Dixie Chicks question Bush? their patriotism is called to question?
Didn't need this video to convince me, this is the man that ROCKS! NEED, NEED, NEED BS&SBB in my daily life. Seriously lifts my soul and makes it soaaaaaaaar! Good man, good music, good view on life. I know I can't be the only 53-year-old woman going down the freeway with the sounds jetted up, rockin w/Bob-Rockee4ever
50 million albums..thanks for the walk down memory lane and great video..wow he is so down to earth...a man's man..Now that is something to take time off to spend it with your kids before it was to late. at least he woke up, some never do. I have got to see him in concert..and thanks for showing him on a Harley..on a album cover no less..YES!!
im 13 (14 on the 25th of july) i love to listen to bob seger i know its not like most kids my age lol but theres so much truth in the songs he plays people tell me im more mature than most kids my age but i dont know if thats right i think i just see the world more clearly anyway im going into this too deep,
point is bob seger is the bomb live on bob, live on
to be honest. homertalk went to the concert with me and he was playing with me...he was quoting a freak who replied those same sewer lines to him...he wrote it for my benefit. an inside laugh.. we LOVE bob seger and my reply about baldness was to play with homer's mind...just having fun!!!!!! but bob rules. he was awesome in concert after all these years
Let tell ya, I got home a couple hours ago fron the concert in Phoenix and it was FANTASTIC! We sat in the 8th row-stage level, right off the left wing where Bob would walk out to sing. It was like seeing an old friend again, first time I have seen him in 20 years or so.
He's come a long way and the TOUR is coming to an end.3/10/07 will be my second show and I am just as excited as I was to se it as I was the 1st in Cleveland, Oh. Would like to see the Grande Finale on 3/17 but that's stretchin it
Watching this video gets me all physched up again. Hope all of you that are going to the last show ROCK THAT HOUSE. it will be a moment in history of thas legend that IS.
Well, Going back to my comments a few posts ago... Just bought tickets for my little girl and I.. Along with my Mom and Dad to see Bob March 8th in Lexington...
Can't wait again!!!! We will travel... Even if, Against the Wind!
I took my grandson who is 5 to the Louisville show and it was great he loved it and I'm taking him and my oldest grandson who is 7 to the Lexington show. They can't wait. This will be my 6th concert and they just keep getting better. The next generation is already hooked too.
I usually don't get up until the sun has gone overhead (like 1:00pm). Thanks to people like you I don't have to. Uncle Bob tickets goes on sale Saturday at 10am. (I will have to arise ealier than usual) I am lucky to live by Joe Louis Arena.
31 years old here! Seger will live on! I was playing "Against the Wind" on CD driving my 5 year old daughter home from kindergarten the day after I saw Bob. She asked me, "Daddy, when can I see Bob Seger with you?" I almost cried! Hope Bob doesn't give this up... HONEST TO GOD... TRUE STORY!!!
I TRAVELED ALL THE WAY FROM MEXICO CITY TO SEE BOB SEGER AT THE MADISON SQUARE GARDEN IN NEW YORK CITY ON MY BIRTHDAY JAN 25th. WHAT A BIRTHDAY PRESENT...COULDN'T THINK OF ANYTHING BETTER. THE SOLD-OUT OUT-ABSOLUTELY-PACKED SHOW WAS THRILLING WAY OVER EXPECTATIONS. NO WONDER HE'S BEEN SELLING OUT SHOWS IN MINUTES. THANKS TO BOB FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.
That is cool Mingo. I lived in Detroit for 2 years as a youngster, I was 11 when my dad took me to Cobo Hall in '75 for "Live Bullet" he got free tix and and from there on I was a Seger fan. I never miss his shows in LA. He is a tremendous perfomer and great songwriter. Is he going to play Mexico City at all???
I thought he was going to sing Sunday morning by Jhonny Cash

@kskbills Billy Cosagen(SP) Of the Smashing Pumpkins said in A concert in Detroit that Bob Seger was not a true artist. I say fuck you dick, you won't be puting out an album when you are 60 and have to go to #4 on the charts. He is a product of MTV and didn't tour the midwest for yours until he became a star. Bob Seger is Rock and Roll, Billy is a dick and should be banned from Detroit for ever. Smack him in the face if you see him please!
Mr21Roberto21 1 year ago 30
@Mr21Roberto21 I agree with you. Bob Seger is a true artist. He's 65 and touring starting January 2011. I should go shove a dildo up his ass for saying that about a TRUE artist. all these heavy metal artists think he's gay. Even the teens of today say he sucks.
segerfan 1 year ago
@segerfan Hi, That's fantastic news that he's going to tour again! I looked on his website and couldn't find anything definite. Where did you hear about the new tour?

@Mr21Roberto21 -I hate to come down too hard on Billy Corgan seeing
as we're both Cubs fans, but he had no room to diss Seger, it was totally
uncalled for.

I doubt he ever said that, c'mon give me a break. Seger is a legend!
jjanssen143 6 months ago
@Mr21Roberto21 ... Grew up as a boy listening to Seger in the backseat... In my teens, I really got into the Smashing Pumpkins - very good music, but.. as you say - a product of MTV. Still love the Pumpkins and looking back on the teen years.. but the candle burns stronger and longer for Seger. A true artist.

@Mr21Roberto21 Bwa...who does that douche bag think he is. What did we hear of Billy anymore after the SP split up. Bob is amazing!! So I totally support your comment!

love him <3 ... i just started listening to him, can someone please write down a few of his best songs? because i don't really know which are nice and which aren't ..
leolovesHIM 3 years ago
There are so VERY many that that's a tough question...and even harder to answer when I don't know your tastes.
Off the top of my head, if you want the sort of "nice" meaningful music that touches you and not just rocks you then here's a little list: Beautiful Loser, Jody Girl, Turn the Page, Night Moves, Mainstreet, Still the Same, We've Got Tonight, Against the Wind, Roll Me Away, Comin' Home, Like a Rock, The Ring, and New Coat of Paint
Neji8Hyuuga 3 years ago
i downloaded all the songs on you list and i really love them :D thank you very much! x
leolovesHIM 3 years ago

Springsteens a chump. Went against the NYC cops and most recently the US military.

Dude questioning the leaders is not going against the soldiers. Why is that Toby Keith can diss The Dixie Chicks, but when the Dixie Chicks question Bush? their patriotism is called to question?

Let tell ya, I got home a couple hours ago fron the concert in Phoenix and it was FANTASTIC! We sat in the 8th row-stage level, right off the left wing where Bob would walk out to sing. It was like seeing an old friend again, first time I have seen him in 20 years or so.
