  • I thought he was going to sing Sunday morning by Jhonny Cash

  • Bob Seger is just awsome the passion he has on stage is just unbelivable. If you see him live you will know what Im talking about... \m/ Rock on Bob \m/

  • Hollywood Nights is the song at 1:32

  • What´s the f*** music´s name that plays at 1:32?? Could someone help me please?? :)

  • you can tell he's from the midwest-humble guy

  • i miss him back then. all his old stuff. i was born in 1976 :-) idk

  • Comment removed

  • @jjanssen143

I used to wait on him at Mavericks on Wed. afternoons 1985

  • Bob's a smoker. :)

  • Bob Seger you are one of a kind, your music is undescribable, you are truly one of the best of the best.thank you for allowing us to hear you sing your song's.God Bless You Bob Seger.sincerely mtd45 and I speak for all of your fan's.

  • Agreed...best ever !!!!! and what a class act. Nobody was or ever will be better.

  • I am proud to say that I am from Ann Arbor where Bob grew up. A CLASS ACT!

  • My Dad was a ramblin man also. He was an Organ Grinder with Monkey. He traveled all over and took us with him a lot. My life growing up is expressed in the words of Seger's songs. My Dad had a job painting office buildings late at night. They were always located on the main street of the small towns. I remember the streets being dark, lonely, & empty. His song Main Street brings back those memories. I raised my kids on his songs. They helped me through so much, you just don't know. ROCK & ROLL!

  • Seger IS and ALWAYS will be a legend....Rock on people...

  • @southernbikerHD1 AMEN TO THAT greatest ever

  • Rock and Roll LEGEND......BOB SEGER.

  • Billy Cosagen needs MAN UP and KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT. A true artist never says sh**t about another artist. The SMASHING PUMPKINS were created thru MTV and promotion SEGER paid his dues,,Like WILLY and CASH did "ON THE ROAD" going to the people

  • The Pumpkins comment is absurd. Seger's music is sublime. It is not artsy music, it's rock. But rock can be art too.

  • Bob rocks!!

  • I used to see Seger at bars in Ann Arbor and the Detroit

area in the early seventies, and he wasn't making

much money despite putting out great music.

I felt so happy for him when he hit he the

big time with Live Bullet in '76, and hasn't had to look

back. Way to go brother, you did all of us

Ann Arbor Pioneer High grads proud, as

well as all of the other people in Michigan

  • @matlan57 AMEN TOO THAT THEMOJOMAN*COM

  • this cat seems down to earth, never really follow him sense i havent been into this style of music but after watching this video i was actually thinking wow this man sick lol

  • Obviously , this Dick Head Pumpkin's did not live Segers life or write the words that Seger writes about of what he has lived. All truth ! Listen to his words ARSEHOLE , you might learn something other than being a Pumkin fill in for a Martha Stewart pie Sorry to be soooo late in writing this !

Keep on performing Bob ! PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • el mejor dentro y fuera de USA!

    grande por siempre!

Im looking for dvd with classics live !

  • Bob Seger - LEGEND.

  • i love bobs more recent voice its more thick and rich

  • I remember back in the 70's and this was all you heard was Seger..on the radio, bars, friends partys..thank you Bob for a lot of good times and thanks bigwali for sharing this..

  • SEGER, Still the man.

  • I HAVE BEEN BUYING YOUR ALBUMS SINCE 1979,,,,,,, LOVE THE NEW STUFF JUST AS MUCH AS THE CLASSICS. THANKS BOB

  • GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • May he be around many years to come!

  • bob you need to come back to alpena mich, maybe inprove the econony lets party summer 2011 imean that in a good way bro.

  • I love you Bob!

  • Great Memory ....My whole life growing up , always a new Bob song

  • amazing interview with an amazing man

  • This is just classic. One of my CD Disc in my car is reserved for Mr Segar. What a talent with so much to say. A living legend.,

  • What a ride there Bob, enjoyed everything you've done.

  • I love Bob Seger....but I never noticed that he sound slike Tommy Chong when he speaks :)

  • I'm not a huge Seger fan, but he has made some great records, like "Hollywood Nights," "Night Moves," "Turn the Page, "Travellin' Man" and "Beautiful Loser." He also made a terrific cover of Creedence's "Fortunate Son," which I wish was on YouTube. AND he seems to be a truly decent guy:).

  • His lyrics tell the story of your life and the music reaches into your soul!

BOB SEGER AND THE SILVER BULLIT BAND!! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!

GOODNIGHT EVERYBODY, GOODNIGHT, EVERYBODY HAVE AND GOOD TIME AND GET HIGH!

  • 10:02 is that James Hettfield? lol

  • That was awesome...took me back. I'm glad I found this. I was lucky enough to see Bob & the Silver Bullet Band 3 times back in the late 70's early 80's. Turn the page indeed!

  • The soundtrack to my life. Seger is - and always will be THE KING OF ROCK N ROLL. (Thanx Bob).

  • have seen him live at least 10 times he is the best.

  • there is no one as good as bob seger live

  • He is just an awesome guy! Pure and true. Goes to prove you can be a rock icon w/o the excesses!

  • this guy is an awesome , AWESOME singer. everything from his family life to his lifestyle in michigan and of course his music.

  • ha try jerry rafferty

  • I agree, Bob Seger is the best ever but did these ignorant editors have to use Old time rock n roll as a bridge like 7 times? Could've used so much more of Bobs catlogue

  • True, but in things like this, most of the people that would watch this on TV are just the casual consumers. They'll recognize it more than something like Jody Girl, which appeals more to us big Seger fans. If you use only the deep tracks for advertisements, you're not getting anywhere. You have to use the familiar stuff, then the viewer will take it upon themself to get deeper into Bob's music. Then, they'll get like you. A big Seger fan that likes the deep stuff. That's what gets more fans.

  • The soundtrack of my life...thank you Bob Seger...

  • Bob Seger's song Sunburst was the first song I ever remember hearing. I was 3 years old and just happened to curiously press whatever corresponding on the 8 track tape player. I still have a strong connection to the song to this day though I rarely hear it played.

  • Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet band have created the soundtrack to America! Great, honest, wholesome and just feels so good to listen to. He is a real life role model.

  • The soundrack to my life and many of you as well. Thanks Bob

  • thanks Bob for all the great music...still listen to it and love it after thirty years...you are THE MAN and always will be..livin inside my heart!!!!!!!!!

  • I've been listening to Bob for many years. It seems like his music is the soundtrack to my life since hearing him for the first time in '74. I have SOOOO many memories of going to parties and it was the most natural thing in the world to arrive and hear Seger's music rocking the place! I'm forever grateful to Bob for provinding so much great, honest American Rock N Roll!

  • I had the oppurtunity to go see Bob Seger on the comeback tour when he came to Little Rock, but I chose not to. It was front row, too. I'm regreting it, but I was really sick, and I wouldn't have enjoyed it. At least I got to see ZZ Top since I couldn't see Seger.

  • The 3 Greatest Artists of ALL TIME are Elvis Presley, Bruce Springsteen, and Bob Seger!!!

  • Seger is the BEST

  • Seger is the BEST

  • Seger Seger Seger;)

  • Great man!

  • wow, great guy

  • MOST PRO ALL TIME CHART TOPPER. He never let drugs or the "scene" control him and when I see him since the 70s most of the crowd is WAY younger than me ! I grew up in S.Mi. and have seen him at least 40 times growing up in the 60s & 70s. I have never been let down by one of his shows. I last saw him at his last Miami Fl. show in 96 before he took a break yo be a daddy. I still have the dog tags I bought at the concert. If your not drenched in sweet after his shows your dead ! Rock on Mr. Bob !

  • Bob Seger Rocks!!!!!

  • Bob Seger is the best Rock and Roll singer that has ever been and ever will be....

  • Bob you defined my youth growing up in Michigan. You are special to my heart. Consider giving us another tour soon

  • Bob ROCKSS!!

  • They do asshole!

  • Great Music GM should of made cars that held together as well!!

  • bob please tour again

  • just for the record Bob did not write Old Time R@R or shame on the MOOn

  • Who cares , Those arent even his best songs? Turn the page , Beautiful loser ? , Still the same , Wait for me , Katmandu , every song he writes is platnium worthy , those two are my least favorite.

  • @creedgaming screw u, Old Time Rock & Roll is fucking too his most famous song, and so is Shame on the Moon

  • i met bob seger

  • BOB'S GREAT !!!!!!!!!

  • This is music.Bob Seger will always live on.You can not go to a wedding without hearing old time rock in roll and have the dance floor full....lol

  • 321 advantor could not agree with you more ...this is MUSIC..This is the heart and soul of our generation, Cruisin the local strip with Seger cranked up on the ol 8 track..lol..later the cassete player now he's still thumpin out the tunes on those high dollar systems off a brand new shiny CD...wow brings back some great memories of a less stressful time and place, this is the kind of music you put on the head phones at our age turn it up, kick back in the recliner and go back to that time.

  • Seger is beyond awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you - this post made my day! Being from Detroit and 50 now, it's great to see him coming back and still playing great music. Pay attention kiddies - this is Music and this is Rock n Roll.

  • Seger has some damn good stuff! Im 16 and can appreciate it, turn the page is amazing!

  • Seger on Sunday!

  • Wonderful man. Still same charm, really my fav singer.

  • This notarity has been coming for so long. I've been a Seger fan since 1966. Too bad his voice dropped. Like to think I know him, but, we never met.

  • He really is down to earth. I like him with that pretty hair, that's how I like to think of him. What a great guy.

  • those are some lucky kids can you imagine haveing bob segar as your dad

  • James P. HOFFA & Bob SEGER. Two American Mid-Western Boyz....

    MICHIGAN BROTHERS.

Wonder If They Ever Met Each Other In MOTOWN?

  • kick ass video....thanks

  • Bob Seger is one of the main reasons why I love the U.S.

  • I have long been a Bob Seger fan, but I did not get to see this CBS show. Thanks for posting it. And, I too saw him in 1986! Great show.

  • Wali thanks for making the time to tape this, in full. Nice work!

  • Bob Seger has always been my favorite singer of all time.

  • What do you think your legacy will be?

    "I told the truth"

    Hell yeah, rock on Bob!!

  • A wonderful conversation.

  • An american hero, the bullet stills alive!

  • Bob seger Rocks

  • BOB SEGER is the best

  • I love you, Bob Segar.

  • Bob Seger is the greatest ever

  • very true my friend!

  • FYI ... Seger has been in The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame since 2004!

  • Thank you for posting this!

I never get to watch this show i like because i work weekends and Im sure he will be in the hall of fame he is a legend.

  • Why the fuck is he not in the Rock and Roll hall of Fame

  • LOL ... where you been??? Seger is in the "Rock n Roll Hall of Fame"!

  • ...never sugar coated anything...AWESOME and soooo true...I believe that's why so many of us can relate to his songs...the man is "for real" in everything he does...a legend in his own time...yet still down to earth and loves his fans...Seger Rules!!! Thanks for the post and sharing.

  • One night, while Bob had his sailboat docked in Harbor Beach, Michigan, he ordered a pizza from the local Pizza Joint, where my niece worked. After she asked Bob who the pizza order was for and he told her, she told him she was very busy, didn't appreciate crank calls and then hung up on him. Bob had to call back. Oh kids!... Years later,I still give her flack about it.....

  • It's uncanny how much Bob Seger sounds like David Lee Roth when giving an interview. They not only sound alike, but both have a tendency to laugh at what they just said.

  • hmm even better if it would work>!!

  • He is the greatest singer ever. I am 56 and have all his music and seen him everytime he has been in Atlanta, Ga.and great seats and even made some wonderful pics last time he was here. I am in luv with this man and he is very sexy and a sexy voice.

  • Kitty- Do you know where to get a video of his "Beautiful Loser" single (circa 1975)?

I remember watching it on a TV special. The song is about Richard Nixon, almost an apoology, By Bob Seger. I remember I almost cried watching it!

  • u can seeit on you tube just look at videos and find it i seen it. it is good

  • I really enjoyed the interview and continue to enjoy his music. Thanks for posting this!

  • This guy is the GREATEST & an icon...

    He is truly special...

  • One of the great voices in Rock History.

  • Rock n Roll never dies what a legend, wish he would tour down under

  • A Living breathing ICON!!!

  • awesome dad!!

  • Living Legend. One of the greatest of all time.

  • @kskbills Billy Cosagen(SP) Of the Smashing Pumpkins said in A concert in Detroit that Bob Seger was not a true artist. I say fuck you dick, you won't be puting out an album when you are 60 and have to go to #4 on the charts. He is a product of MTV and didn't tour the midwest for yours until he became a star. Bob Seger is Rock and Roll, Billy is a dick and should be banned from Detroit for ever. Smack him in the face if you see him please!

  • @Mr21Roberto21 I agree with you. Bob Seger is a true artist. He's 65 and touring starting January 2011. I should go shove a dildo up his ass for saying that about a TRUE artist. all these heavy metal artists think he's gay. Even the teens of today say he sucks.

  • @segerfan Hi, That's fantastic news that he's going to tour again! I looked on his website and couldn't find anything definite. Where did you hear about the new tour?

  • @Mr21Roberto21 SMASHING PUMPKINS ?? STUPID NAME. Like most of them lately.

  • @THEMOJOMANsince1959 i would love to smah there pupkin heads bob seger rocks

  • @mrthomaschateau34 What the hell kinda rock name is that ANYWAY. SOUNDS SISSYBOY CHICKENSHIT WHITEBREAD NAME

  • @Mr21Roberto21 ... Grew up as a boy listening to Seger in the backseat... In my teens, I really got into the Smashing Pumpkins - very good music, but.. as you say - a product of MTV. Still love the Pumpkins and looking back on the teen years.. but the candle burns stronger and longer for Seger. A true artist.

  • @Mr21Roberto21 Bwa...who does that douche bag think he is. What did we hear of Billy anymore after the SP split up. Bob is amazing!! So I totally support your comment!

  • @kskbills AND HE'S BACK!!!

  • love him <3 ... i just started listening to him, can someone please write down a few of his best songs? because i don't really know which are nice and which aren't ..

  • There are so VERY many that that's a tough question...and even harder to answer when I don't know your tastes.

Off the top of my head, if you want the sort of "nice" meaningful music that touches you and not just rocks you then here's a little list: Beautiful Loser, Jody Girl, Turn the Page, Night Moves, Mainstreet, Still the Same, We've Got Tonight, Against the Wind, Roll Me Away, Comin' Home, Like a Rock, The Ring, and New Coat of Paint

  • i downloaded all the songs on you list and i really love them :D thank you very much! x

  • You are absolutely correct my friend--so many GREAT soungs...wasn't (and ain't)sure about The Ring, Paint, etc...

But ya. I've been to Detroit ONCE (as a Packer Fan of course) going to a game...I guess if Bob will only play in that area, then...so be it. I will make the trip. Worth it, for sure!!! Thanks!

  • Great to see this interview. I have followed Bullet Bob since I saw him first in Kalamazoo MI - at Western Mi. Univ. Love the man!! (Matter of Fact my son's name is Robert!!) I've seen him 12 times, 3 times on this recent tour. What an entertainer. My goal in life is to sit and have a conversation with him. He writes & sings about things the average midwesterner can relate to. Keep it up Bob - we love you!!!

  • get this man to the netherlands

  • exellent good as it gets thanks

  • I've seen Seger in concert twice in my short 35 years of life. I would LOVE to see him more.

  • LEGEND

  • I agree with loosescrew. Bob is all American. I have seen in twice in concert. many years ago in alpine valley(wi)He blew out the speakers at that concert! Then I was lucky enough to see him again when he starting touring in fall of 2006 in Milwaukee.

  • Old and Grey but my rock is here to stay !!!

  • I am a Seger and a Springsteen fan. But I never understood Springsteen's criticism that Bob sold out by selling Like a Rock to GM. Seger is a Michigan guy. Of all people he knows the struggles of the autoworkers. If he can help move a few GM cars and maybe keep some lineworkers employed, good for him. After all, you write music for it to be heard.

  • Springsteens a chump. Went against the NYC cops and most recently the US military.

  • Dude questioning the leaders is not going against the soldiers. Why is that Toby Keith can diss The Dixie Chicks, but when the Dixie Chicks question Bush? their patriotism is called to question?

  • it's cool to have an opinion but keep it to yourself. if you can't speak about it in an intelligent manner, try not to talk about it.

  • If you are afraid to express an opinion, this country is no longer free for you, wimp.

  • Saw Bob before fame in oakland michigan, still down to earth, been a fan since.

  • seger is the best of all time. true american

  • this is great.

  • Love Bob Seger! Wonderful voice, rockin' songs & all around good guy!

  • Bob Seger will forever be known in music, he pwns. The trumpet at the beginning of the video pwns too =D

  • Didn't need this video to convince me, this is the man that ROCKS! NEED, NEED, NEED BS&SBB in my daily life. Seriously lifts my soul and makes it soaaaaaaaar! Good man, good music, good view on life. I know I can't be the only 53-year-old woman going down the freeway with the sounds jetted up, rockin w/Bob-Rockee4ever

  • Bob Seger RULES.. Listen to the words of his songs..

  • 50 million albums..thanks for the walk down memory lane and great video..wow he is so down to earth...a man's man..Now that is something to take time off to spend it with your kids before it was to late. at least he woke up, some never do. I have got to see him in concert..and thanks for showing him on a Harley..on a album cover no less..YES!!

  • Yeah he stayed away from Hollywood and came to Alabama. Smart move.

  • saw bob seger play the madhatter in monroe michigan...about a little over 2 years later..he was big time

  • Obviously you don't know "Good" music when you hear it..

Bob and his band are awesome!!!

    Try listening sometime......

    Mari in MS..

  • BOB IS ONE OF THE GREATEST!!!!!!

  • Did you all know that Bob Seger is a big sailor? He often comes to the Boat Show in Annapolis in October.

  • im 13 (14 on the 25th of july) i love to listen to bob seger i know its not like most kids my age lol but theres so much truth in the songs he plays people tell me im more mature than most kids my age but i dont know if thats right i think i just see the world more clearly anyway im going into this too deep,

point is bob seger is the bomb live on bob, live on

  • to be honest. homertalk went to the concert with me and he was playing with me...he was quoting a freak who replied those same sewer lines to him...he wrote it for my benefit. an inside laugh.. we LOVE bob seger and my reply about baldness was to play with homer's mind...just having fun!!!!!! but bob rules. he was awesome in concert after all these years

  • we saw him last nite and he was great!!! had even more songs he could have played. today's music sux!!bob you rock

  • Let tell ya, I got home a couple hours ago fron the concert in Phoenix and it was FANTASTIC! We sat in the 8th row-stage level, right off the left wing where Bob would walk out to sing. It was like seeing an old friend again, first time I have seen him in 20 years or so.

  • Thanks for this posting. Does anyone know out there about any old (1966-1980) Seger video footage? I know they're in someone's vault somewhere!

  • He's come a long way and the TOUR is coming to an end.3/10/07 will be my second show and I am just as excited as I was to se it as I was the 1st in Cleveland, Oh. Would like to see the Grande Finale on 3/17 but that's stretchin it

Watching this video gets me all physched up again. Hope all of you that are going to the last show ROCK THAT HOUSE. it will be a moment in history of thas legend that IS.

  • Great Segment. I can't say more.

I usually don't get up until the sun has gone overhead (like 1:00pm). Thanks to people like you I don't have to. Uncle Bob tickets goes on sale Saturday at 10am. (I will have to arise ealier than usual) I am lucky to live by Joe Louis Arena.

    Rock and Roll Never Forgets

  • thanks for upload..this is great

  • Rock on Bob, your music is an integral part of our way of life and this is the way it has always been!

  • 31 years old here! Seger will live on! I was playing "Against the Wind" on CD driving my 5 year old daughter home from kindergarten the day after I saw Bob. She asked me, "Daddy, when can I see Bob Seger with you?" I almost cried! Hope Bob doesn't give this up... HONEST TO GOD... TRUE STORY!!!

  • Saw him in Toronto with 22,000 of my friends...a lot of us grey haired too! Great fun. Great memories. Long live Bob Seger!

  • I TRAVELED ALL THE WAY FROM MEXICO CITY TO SEE BOB SEGER AT THE MADISON SQUARE GARDEN IN NEW YORK CITY ON MY BIRTHDAY JAN 25th. WHAT A BIRTHDAY PRESENT...COULDN'T THINK OF ANYTHING BETTER. THE SOLD-OUT OUT-ABSOLUTELY-PACKED SHOW WAS THRILLING WAY OVER EXPECTATIONS. NO WONDER HE'S BEEN SELLING OUT SHOWS IN MINUTES. THANKS TO BOB FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.

    MINGO

  • That is cool Mingo. I lived in Detroit for 2 years as a youngster, I was 11 when my dad took me to Cobo Hall in '75 for "Live Bullet" he got free tix and and from there on I was a Seger fan. I never miss his shows in LA. He is a tremendous perfomer and great songwriter. Is he going to play Mexico City at all???
