  • You know I was about 15 when this and others.. like Slade and Sweet were about. I was into Rock, and these guys were thought of as pop bands... a bit like the boybands/ girl bands of today, but unlike the manufactured bands of now, these guys not only looked good and could make a 'pop' record.... they could play and they could KICK ASS... long live the 70's.

  • @rocketfixer

I agree - their albums were COMPLETELY different from their rowdy and energetic live shows, which rocked as hard as Zeppelin and Sabbath.

  • not too much dudes in the audience

  • Wow! Great!!!!

  • Just how magical is Marc Bolan? Well, when he jacks off his guitar, it jizzes a tambourine.

And 4 people got hit on the head with it.

  • MAGIC!

  • Das waren noch Zeiten....echte Musik und nicht wie heute...

wo vieles nur noch aus der "Steckdose" kommt...

der war einfach genial dieser Marc Bolan....

  • Question- How often did Marc play this particular guitar or use it in concert? Anyone?

  • So many great bands came from England.

  • Well, I guess I can't wear my t-shirt with my face on it anymore.

  • no one can make a tambourine as hardcore as marc bolan can.

  • Pretty sure he fathered the lead singer of BRMC.

That is where they get their sound from . Love them too.

  • Just amazing

  • In 1977 he changed his name to Steve Carell and got into unscripted acting.

  • how about wolfemothers singer and marc Bolan...their voices are alike i think

  • "You're dirty sweet and you're my" WHAT?

  • what does he say at 6:25?

  • YEAH MARC - GET IT ON BABY !!!

  • YEAH MARC - GET IT ON BABY !!!

  • muito bom.........na gravação original, elton john plays piano

  • ooh i love his shiny jacket!!

  • I'm pretty sure my mom was in that crowd somewhere, being a T. Rex fan herself.

  • I agree-they will never have music like this again, all you kids shoudl be grateful.I mean I am only 38 but I know my shit and people should appreciate this because if they didn't have this,Cream,Blue Oyster Cult,Johnny Winter,Hendrix,Zeppelin,BTO,Black Oak Arkansas and Deep Purple we would not have had the priveledge of getting such great acts like Will Smith,Eminem,Puff Daddy, and Beyonce!!!!! -ROFL LMAO

  • I'm guessing Bolan was stoned out of his mind. The tempo is about twice that of the record, and he totally forgot the ending of the second and third refrains - repeating the ending to the fourth three times in a row. Now, I know it's his song, but still.....

  • i dont think thats it all, he was definitely more experimental when it came to the live shows, and liked to do solos and mix it up to show off his guitar skills. if he was just stoned then the rest of the band wouldnt be keeping up with him...

  • If you were in your second year of high school in 1972 like I was you wouldn't give a....about the "third refrains" and you didn;t have to be stoned to "get" THE Marc Bolan.

  • @MrMusicEqualsLove

Yeh dude, like you I was in the 2nd year of high school, can't believe it was as long ago as it was!

Wish I could take a time machine and go right back, get-it-on brother!!!

  • @MickInTheMorning I'm guessing you've never been to a rock show before.

  • Well gosh, you know, except for the four years I spent as a road manager for....Little River Band, Foreigner, Styx, Steppenwolf, Cheap Trick & the Dirt Band, not to mention the one to two hundred other shows I've been to as a spectator...I guess you're right!

    8>)P

  • @MickInTheMorning you still manage?

  • Way the hell ahead of his time. Awesome.

  • Hell Ya, great bass solo !

  • Great rocking post!!

  • Marc wasn't the best guitarrist ever, but I have to say..he was one of the most entertaining performers, ever!...he's just magnificent in this performance..love him♥

  • Great upload you will have to send this to my wife she is a Marc Bolan fan .

    Great share.

    R.I.P. MARK

  • Now that was damned entertaining.

People leaving immature comments need to grow up. This was one helluva jam. Oh yeah !!!

  • This video is a powerful example of what a mix of performance and energy. I have seen a few people work this hard onstage but only a few currently. Thanx Marc!!!

  • its amazing that three chords and a whole lot of distortion can have such an impact what a great song!

  • Cool ^_^

  • are you deaf?

  • My friends at school have no idea who T REX are x I'm 15 years old and I LOVE T REX!! Marc didn't deserve to die when he did x His tribute act was amazing!!!

    R.I.P Marc!!!

  • Good on ya! Marc was the best- we all knew it, and he knew it.

  • yeah, its pretty much the same with me,but im 12,do you believe theres people who have never heard of pink floyd,i thought i was trippin balls when someone asked me who pink floyd was,but my point being,T.Rex is amazing and everyone should know them

  • Couldn't play the guitar? Go and **** yourself. 32 years after his untimely death, he still has a huge following. Love and miss you babe.

  • The band couldn't hear themselves

  • i love t rex but this live version sounds horrible

  • Marc had everyone in that stadium rockin

  • Aahh, memories! I was 16 in 72 with raging hormones for T.Rex, until Alice Cooper came along ....! A fantastic time to be young and loving all the great rock bands of the time

  • I saw him in B'ham in 72 and he gave me a bangle, I was only 10 at the time. no way of proving it is his but I know it is.

  • You'll treasure that forever, no doubt! I was never lucky enough to see T Rex live

  • is the guy throwing out joints???

    lol

  • I do not think so as everyone in the audience appear too young to require hip replacements just yet.

  • Only Marc Bolan is egotistical enough to wear a shirt with his giant face on it.

  • ace frehley has done it too haha

  • @SpaceRitual Not true, Malcolm Jamal Warner did it on the Cosby Show

  • @inflames2121 nice plug dude. lol cosby show is the shit!

  • @SpaceRitual Paul Rudd wore one with his face on it in 40 year old virgin.

  • @SpaceRitual wouldnt you wear a tshirt with your face on it??

  • Proud to be an original USA fan.
