  • Dancing and sining like this just means they feel strong about God. They get energized from it. You should try it sometime.

  • Love there dancing! if jessy dixion can dance and sing sg. why not signature sound!

    LOVE It and love EHSS

  • @moondoggy22 I just came to this song to ask what this song is about. Who's Jordan? I have a brother name Jordan but who is Jordan in the song?

  • @FlawlessImperfectio1 they are singing about the Jordan River. i am no expert by any means, but if you search on the internet i'm sure you will find the corresponding scripture relating to crossing the Jordan when you die. Ernie explains it some towards the end of the song.

  • @ moondoggy22 I just came to this song to ask what this song is about. Who's Jordan? I have a brother name Jordan but who is Jordan in the song?

  • i love ya´ll guys

  • I Seen them in cocert... I may only be 12. BUT I LOVE MYSELF SOME GOSPEL MUSIC!!!! Oh, And a couple of years ago i seen the gaithers at the Palace. and GUESS WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ERNIE HUGGED ME!!!! HEHEHE. I LOVE THEM SOOO MUCH

  • Just remember KIng David danced for the Lord.

  • Some of these comments are laughable-Good grief, the man is having fun outhere...At least they are out of the four walls of the church!!!

  • I yust to hate this song. becouse people from my church would sing it to me so I would leave. but since I heard and seen how thye simg it. i love it.

  • Love this group. My wife and I have been to see them in concert five times in the past year and a half. Sure they dance around and their moves are choreographed. So what? Blacks have been dancing and swaying in church for years, no one seems to be offended by that. Don't like their dancing? Don't watch.

  • they got me dancing!!!! lol

  • I enjoy this, It's a great song that i've wanted to perform myself, but at the same time no one can touch the Statesmen on this one it's Sooo hot!

  • Who could sit still during this?! Dancing for God is something that was done in the Old Testament, the New Testament, and still today. Nothing better than some old southern gospel where people aren't afraid to move for God! There's nothing vulgar, nor shameful in how they dance. It's so much fun!

Get away, you old stodge's! You can have your suffocating ways and stingy songs. These are full of life and praise for God!

    *dancedancedance*

  • I've watched them during rehearsals practicing their dance moves before doing a show. And that's what this is.

  • Ernie's father-in-law, George Younce, danced all the time. So did Glen Payne. He learned from the best.

  • All I coould find in the world of God, is make a joyful noise unto the lord. This is being done by Ernie Haas and Signature Sound Quartet. As for as their dancing, David dance upset everyone except God, sodo not stop their praising God in the form of glory he blessed them with.

  • there is nothing wrong with getting excited about God or religion....have some of you not ever been so happy you could not be still.....same thing...who ever started the RUMOR that God and religion are somber and reverent....not me...I can not sit still when I get excited about the Lord...and when I have prayers answered and see miracles happen.....no way I can sit quietly and sullen....I wan to shout it to the world!!!

  • I still misses Ryan :o(. But Devin is also good :o).

  • I love this video....dancing and praising the Lord.... Love it....more than once I seen my parents get blessed by a song and dance in praise to the Lord....

  • David danced before the Lord with all his might..... dancing in worship is all over the bible... celebration is a wonderful thing and we have much to celebrate therefore we should dance in worship and celebration of Gods grace more than anyone else in the world!!

  • DAVID DANCED

  • NOT SO FAST STAY AWHILE THINGS ARE GETTING INTERESTING

  • its so sad and frustrating to see people who are christians and yet happily criticise others in the ministry.. my question to those of you criticing these people is what are you doing for God? These people have dedicated their lives to praising God.. they're a fantastic example.. the Bible speaks in so many places about dancing for the glory of God.. sometimes you need to look at things for what they are.. praising God!! Enjoy life and enjoy God! He's worthy of singing and dancing and praising!

  • I think that Ernie Haase is following in the footsteps of the great HOVIE LISTER and the STATESMAN QUARTET from the 1940's and 50's. Watch this same song by them. I believe that we should be able to praise God in our own way. Some prefer to praise Him in silence, some lift their hands, some sing, dance, shout or cry. Music is all personal preference. I, myself, like seeing some happy, enthusiastic singers.

  • @adga140 How do they look the same as the world? Ever been to a secular concert? Completely different ball game, can't even begin to compare it with this. For example I don't see any half naked women on the stage.

  • Exodus 15:20 - Then Miriam the prophetess, Aaron’s sister, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women followed her, with tambourines and dancing.

1 Samuel 18:6...the women had come out of all the cities of Israel, singing and dancing

2 Samuel 6:14- David, wearing a linen ephod, danced before the lord with all his might.

Psalm 149:3 - Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with tambourine and harp.

Luke 15:25...when he came near the house, he heard music and dancing.

  • I dont think it has anything to do with wether dancing is right or wrong, to me, a gospel singer or group should look and act different from the world, I can see why this is popular and appeals to younger people but I DO NOT believe God is pleased by it AT ALL!

  • @adga140 1 Chronicles 16:22 "Do not touch My anointed ones, And do My prophets no harm."

  • @BigBoiJC lol...thats a good one!

  • i absoulty love this song and signature sound KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS!!!

  • @ridgeoffaith What nonsense, why can't you dance due to the Joy of God? According to people like you we as Christians need to take away the joy of life, and just stare at a wall instead of living.

  • Super!

  • This is what I call a SHOW!! EH&SS is the BEST that keeps you foot stomping and clapping to a GOOD message!!! Those of you that have did a thumbs down on them need to look at the OLDER Christian singing groups and watch what they do!!

  • As far as dancing goes, if you think this is holy dancing (worship) you might want to rethink it. If you were standing be4 Christ, I don't think u would dance like this. The Bible says be ye separate from the world, not act like the world so that the world will like you. I'm not saying these guys r not Christians, they just need to put their focus in the right place. It's obvious these guys r way 2 hung up on self.

  • @ridgeoffaith GET THE PLANKS OUT OF YOUR EYES BEFORE YOU REMOVE THE TWIG FROM THE EYES OF OTHERS!

  • @ridgeoffaith they're up there having fun, dancing and singing for the lord. If you don't like the way they dance, then you should watch someone else.

  • Ernie went from lookin like a respectable man his own age to a Clay Akin wanna be. The transformation was so dramatic it's clear it's self driven not God driven. He looks rather silly. I thought it was to God be the glory, not to Ernie be the glory.

  • Unfortunately, traditional southern gospel has become an endangered species. How many young people (not counting small children) have you seen at SG concerts lately? Most people don't even know what southern gospel is nowadays. Signature Sound has made a good effort at making it relevant and appealing to a modern audience. Maybe they can breath some new life into SG and keep it going for decades to come. I personally prefer the old-school quartets, but I have no quarrel with these guys.

  • Thankyou for coming to BC, it's a dream come true!!

  • These guys are so much fun. They lift me up!

  • they make it so fun when they perform, now take that away and be back in a church or something at a concert and no participating, i would prolly fall asleep!!!

I love you Ryan Seaton<33 and Ernie:)

  • i enjoy this group and their music very much they sing beautifully...so what if they dance..you go guys dance for the lord

  • I LOVE THIS Have to admit I was critical of this group at first. They have one me over! Hope they have much success in the future!

  • just amzing how the prais the Lord whit this music, just amazing

  • miss you ryan

  • Esse dvd é muito bom, eu ajuei na tradução dele.

  • amazing group and great song. i dont know why people are making such a big deal about them dancing. they are enjoying praising the Lord just like everyone should.

  • The members of EHSS are the real deal. The grace, love and joy of the Lord is made manifest not only when they are in concert, but before, during and after. This is NOT just a performance for them nor for most of the audience. God is glorified and the faith of the people is increased. Whether you're in the valley of despair on the mountaintop of joy, their music ministry is always authentic and real, pointing God's people to HIM. God bless them!

  • Hey people I have been in a lot of Churches and many dance and many shout and many are silent but most all of them Love God!!!!!!! I believe these people love God!!!!! I was skeptical when I was ignornant. But thank God He opened my eyes. He will do the same for you.

  • Awesome!!!!!!!!!

  • this kind of music is great it has a great message in al of ir and it draws the attention of the listeners it attracts you wth the music then it hits you with the words this is hat Gd wants is for us to spread his word and this is a great way to do that

  • if you can't dig this stuff...then it's simple...DO NOT WATCH IT. I see more debating on here about what is acceptable to God vs What is not. shut up...no one wants to hear you debate. besides if someone seeking jesus comes on here and sees all the debating..that's going to turn them away...so stop the debating and either watch the video or don't. it's that simple folks.

  • these guys are good=)

  • jejeje! se caen de parejos! :D pwero son geniales!!

  • these guys are THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • YOU'RE AWESOME!!

  • these guys r awsome

  • I love southern gospel music and I love Ernie Haas and Signature sound Quartet. And as far as the dancing is concerned, being a Christian, I have to say that I prefer watching these great guys dance for the Lord than a cecular artist dancing vulgarly and erotically. And I am a 28 year old who LOVES GOSPEL MUSIC!!!

  • i hear you i'm only 15 and i love this

  • AMEN SISTER! =] I LOVE GOSPEL MUSIC!

  • @Longhairgirl81 hell Im 14 and I love this!

  • i am the big fan from serbia!!:))

  • Big Fan From Iceland

  • great!!!!!

  • I've loved Ernie's sound since The Cathedrals. Awesome group!

  • Comment removed

  • Love to watch and listen to these guys, but they're steps do remind me of the 60's pop and rock bands - the 4 Tops, Glaydes Night and the Pips and a little Elvis thrown in.

  • Wow!! This is the first time I've seen or heard this version of the song. I like it!

  • I just love Tim he is my FAVORITE. These guys have had it rough over the last few weeks. They need to be lifted up to God to keep on going they are strong ine the lord and believe that with him all things are possible.

  • Of course Tim is my FAVORITE and anything he sings I love! This is an AWESOME quartet

  • I love Ryan when sings this!

  • At least they won't get criticized by their wives.

  • I just love this song and it bothers me when people have negative things to say just because this is not what they can do. I have known Ernie Haaae for many many years and I know he truly loves and serves God and would do nothing that God did not want him to do...no matter what. So if God does not have a problem with what Ernie is doing then why should we????? Keep on keepin on Ernie:)

  • Well THEN ,

    i WILL GET AWAY

  • that was FUN!

  • I LOVE THIS SONG! im not exactly ure y

  • For those of you who say ehss is being "wrong" by dancing and should revert back to old southern gospel, you have no idea what your talking about.. You wanna talk about old southern gospel? go watch the statesman jumping around on this song in the related videos... and you don't wanna see em dance? have you not seen since jesus passed by? oh what a savior? plan of salvation? tisk tisk.. even daniel danced under the impression of God! Get your facts straight from the bible, not urself

  • King David (the man that God called the apple of his eye) danced before the Lord and he was naked and in the streets of Jerusalem.David's wife condemned him too. I guess as long as these guys keep their clothes on we'll all be fine. LOL They are great.

  • @victoryopop I believe it was David who danced before the Lord. II Samuel 6:14

  • @victoryopop Psalm 149:3 NIV--Let them praise His name with DANCING and make music to Him with tambourine and harp. Psalm 150:4 NIV--...praise Him with tambourine and DANCING, praise Him with the strings and flute...

It's OK to dance before the Lord!

  • @victoryopop Exactly! How do their specific looks or dancing dishonor God? To be honest, God looks at the heart, not the look. Anybody ever heard of a Christian singer named David Crowder? He's got the wackiest hairdo (and beard) I've ever seen. But he's in it for the right reason. As long as someone's clothes aren't revealing and don't contain any objectionable words or pictures (same goes for tattoos and piercings), they aren't sinning. As far as I can tell, these guys are dancing for God! :)

  • this is a problem here. some person downs one artist to compliment another....something is seriously wrong.

  • When you think about it, Many people dont enjoy southern gospel music much, but this group changes all of that. Southern Gospel Music is dying, and this group is keeping this wonderful music alive.

  • I have seen them in concert and they are Awesome!!! I love this song!

  • If one gets the message in this song, I don't think it is possible to stand still let alone to remain seated. Take a look at the Dove Bros in ?v=jhQwafjSxJo or Jessy Dixon in ?v=3VGd0XGMxvM and you wil see the power of this song which has been performed for nearly a half century by many black gospel quartets and singers. You cannot come away from a EHSS concert and not know that EHSS is on fire for the LORD. Rejoice with them as they worship God.

  • I love the harmony and sound of EH&SS, but I don't appreciate their mixing dance routines with powerful gospel songs. Are people coming to see them for their look and dance, or are they coming to hear the name of God Almighty lifted up? I was hoping EH&SS wold stay true to the Southern Gospel way. - L5, Greater Vision, Mark Trammell Trio, Gold City, etc.

  • Roy webbs face at the start is priceless

  • I'm not much of a gospel fan; but I LOVE this song. This version is my favorite, it's upbeat and fun, makes me wanna dance... *dances around* lol.

  • you all are ignorants..

even the statesman had choreography... so what's wrong with this one?

  • seriously, all of you who thinks that this is disrespecting and wrong, you are just sad because these guys have great talents as music singers.God has blessed them with this big gift of making people happy with their music so, there is a million people enjoying their music and will be talking about them everyday.

  • amen!

  • You people are crazy. Just enjoy the music. If you don't like it turn it. There are millions of Southern Gospel fans that love these guys, myself included. The sold out concerts and number one songs speak for themselves.

  • my comment was to "carnivamouse" and his little friend.

  • There are Gospel Quartet groups much older (from the 50's) that had choreographed steps...much like the Black mainstream musicians (The 4 Tops etc)...I can hardly believe with everything that is happening on this planet that should be of concern to Christians, they are bad mouthing these young men for what they do! As the slower Contemporary music is taking over, I enjoy this toe-tappin "feel good" music when I get the chance to hear it. Some people never cease to amaze me with their judgements.

  • Love watching these guys! They really put everything into their shows. Serving and praising God is supposed to be exciting! God Bless!!!

  • Me gusta demasiado este cuarteto me parese muy buena su musica...

  • Tim is amazing. when i grow up i hope to sing just like him. These guys are my favorite band and they always cheer me up when im in a bad mood. I just listen to their "Get Away, Jordan" cd and im happy :)

  • How can they help but to dance...It's awesome! Who cares if it's rehearsed or not? It looks great! Love you guys..The tight harmony is second to none!

  • These guys are amazing! Love it love it! I am going to see them today!

The harmony isn't actually all that tight...not to be too critical, but gospel harmony tends to be characterized by spread chords...barbershop and jazz have tight chord structuring.

  • "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." Mark 12:30

These guys are expelling ALL of their strength and energy praising God!

I just wish it didn't cause the vocals to suffer! ;)

  • Hey now, watch it with the age comments *smile* Ernie & I are the same age. Miss his late father-in-law (George Younce of the Cathedrals)...he was one of southern gospel's best bass singers. Love this video! GO Signature Sound!

  • Just so I don't get any flack, I never said dancing was wrong (if done in decency). I was just raised old school and don't care for it. If they want to dance, let em dance. I can listen and enjoy without looking. By the way, Ernie Haase is WAY too old to be moving like that, he's liable to break a hip.

  • carnival mouse??? um i def didnt take it that far..i hope ur being sarcastic.. hair gel using sinners?? please dont respond ur under the normal intelligence level..

  • you are a horrible a christian would love everyone and would not say this blasphemy good day to u sir

  • So uh..will you PLEASE tell me where the Bible says not to use hair gel? I am really curious..

  • Haha..um..clean my soul of ernie's pagan ways? You judged me because I asked a question? And by the way, Leviticus 11 talks about what animals are clean and unclean..and talks about not touching dead animals because they were unclean..has NOTHING to do with hair..completely unrelated topics..

  • I've seen many gospel groups for over fifty years in my seventy years of life, The Ernie Haas group is at the top if not the best ever.......

  • LOL ...so having hair that is not combed is the mark of the beast? Well I'm in deep crap then....I just pull my hair back into a ponytail, and call it good. But then I guess that's wrong too, because I'm a guy, and it's a disgrace. Better write to Guy Penrod and tell him to cut his hair too. Thank God my dad is bald, or he'd be going to hell too! You fundies crack me up...I love the Lord with all my heart, and no one is going to tell me he worries about a little joy in praising Him.

  • shut up! you act like they are the anti-christ or something. its ok to have fun while singing the praises of the lord! i mean you act like they are up there cursing or something. the point of the dancing is to get the crowd into it and to attract younger viewers. i met all of these men and they are all great people who love to serve the lord! get it straight.

  • I don't care for the dancing. There is a difference in dancing in the spitir and doing a rehearsed jig in the flesh. However, this is one of the best quartets to come along in a long time.

  • love it love it love it!!!!!

  • ernie has an awesome voice... i love these guys

  • yeah and i think they r funny and their music rocks keep up the good luck ernie!

  • I love this group!! It shows that us believers can have fun and dance like King David danced!!

  • Love this song.

    Thanks for sharing it

  • they need dance rehearsals for synchronisation. and if you have anything against dancing, read the psalms. David danced

  • I guess they also shouldn't practice singing or playing instruments.

  • I'm sorry for you, Chief, that you don't seem to have any joy in the Lord. You're right. It's just a stage act, it's not "belly rubbing". I don't think George would have anything to say about Ernie's joy in the Lord and in his work. To tell you the truth, George's laughing when singing Jesus, There's Something About That Name bothers me way more than Ernie's and the guys' dancing.

  • You must be kidding... right?

  • I love this song it is so cool IM on my sisters name but she dont know i even sing with them and im 10 years old goin on 11

  • it's so funny. tim is like a mini george younce. i can see george younce's style and everything when tim is singing

  • I love these guys!! They are sssoo awesome! THis is the song that got me likig them. They are really sweet and super, super nice!!

  • its awaome it rox luv it!!!!!

  • i saw them in concert last friday and ernie was hi;arious!! htis is my favorite song by them!!

  • this song is s0 fun!!! they r the BEST quartet evr! i don't even like sg. well i do most quartets...

  • I have known Ernie for YEARS!!!! And I love this video! They are awesome and Ernie is as good as ever!

  • Hey, anyone remember King David in the Bible? He danced before the Lord, and Ithink the Lord was delighted about it! Us Pentecostals dance before the Lord a lot! granted it's not choreographed, but it's unto the Lord. Even if you agree they're rehearsed, theyr'e out there trying to win people to the Lord, you have to admit, a lot of young people listen to them, who otherwise wouldn't listen to christian. Besides, it's a lot better than the junk that passes for music these days.

  • I, too am strict holiness, tongue talking Pentecostal! But we love good gospel music!!! I'm a big fan of Ernie@ the guys, as well as the Gaither vocal band; wether theyre performing separatly, or together, awesome harmony, and a great testimonial for our lORD!! SPEEDY JUDE

  • r u free holiness or upc? im free holiness.

  • I'M UPC.

  • I'm taller than Tim Duncan, haha ha ha.

  • most guys are.

  • No, get it, there's Tim Duncan the bass, but there's also the Tim Duncan the b-ball player, who's like 7' tall.

  • i get it but i wasn't thinking...

  • i love this song i need to by the cd

  • whats the strong voice mans name??

  • Tenor - Ernie Haase

    Lead - Ryan Seaton

    Baritone - Doug Anderson

    Bass - Tim Duncan

  • I love this group!! They are sso awesome!!

  • i feel the same way i am strict holiness penacostal i love ernie haase and signature sound they are the best my favorite is tim duncan he is the best

  • God bless Signature Sound. I love them!

  • by the way these song that Signature sounds sings have been around for many years. They sing southern gospel. The catherdrals and stamps sangs these songs but not as upbeat.

  • He is right. Most of there songs are older ones with a diffrent twist. This particular song was sung often by the statesman.

  • I like this kind of music, as long as it is singing to the lord. There are some contemporay music that is not even praising the Lord. That to me is disrespect, and does not belong in his house!

  • A distraction from what?

  • I am a Northern Baptist if that tells you about the upbringing I had. No Dancing, No music with any kind of beat to it, No Playing Cards, on and on. I do not find any fault with these men and how they sing and move around the stage. They do a Good Job Praising the Lord, but molcinrocks, you do have to remember, it is a stage show. They do have to Practice and "show off" that is part of the "Show and entertainment" I am afraid that the old Northern Baptist Days are done if we are to reach people.

  • I have to agree with you!..I love the old southern gospel groups...they were AWESOME!..and they weren' coreographed either!!...I mean, if the Lord tells me to dance a little jig, I will...but it won't be something I've practiced...I have to give your comment a thumbs up!!

  • You and I are definitely on the same page. Thank You for responding to my comment in a positive manner. I having written other things in the past and the Hate Machine really comes out whenever I have written somthing percieve as negative about sombody's idols! Interestingly this always comes from other christians!

  • excuse me, I believe that when you talk about worldly dance it is far from what these people are doing. Worldly dancing in my opinion is the seductive way girls and guy cling to each other while showing way too much cleavage. In this case, they are completely covered, and not even being seductive. they are just having plain fun and singing praises to God. there is no way that you can consider this worldly. It says in Scripture "Dance unto the Lord, Sing Praises unto the Lord"

  • I don't understand why some people are trying to put any kind of restriction of how the Lord is praised. Does they way we glorify Him really matter at all, just as long as we do? These guys are very energetic in their praise which I think is great! And in a response to rifleman, not every Southern Gospel group dances like that..go check out some Gaither Vocal Band videos..they don't do that at all. Please get your facts together before you say things like that.

  • This Song is awsome. When ever I feel alone I listen to it and remember that God is always with me no matter what.

  • i don't understand what you people are getting so hyped up about.all they're doing is moving around on the stage. if you call that dancing, you don't know what dancing is. if you watch any SG group, they all walk around and move around the dtage while performing. it's a southern gospel performance tradition basically.there is nothing worldly or wrong about what these men of God are doing. unless you call serving God with your life worldly....

  • Their moves are all choreographed. Trust me. There's actually a practice video of them practicing their moves. If you look, they also do these same moves at different concerts filmed by actual YouTube users.

  • even if it is choreographed, i don't consider that anywhere near dancing. woohoo they practice so they don't smash into each other on the stage. lol. what these guys are doing isn't dancing and even if it was who cares. if people don't like choreographed movement, they should stop watching their vids and get a CD.

  • Though I could go without the praise and worship music where people look like they're in a trance, and they're waving their cigarette lighters and waving their hands.

  • I doesn't get any better than this!!!!

  • Oh yes it does !!! It gets ALOT better .....when the STATESMEN do this song ....But the Signiture Sound are MIGHTY MIGHTY GOOD !!!

  • You point to me in your Bible where it says we can't have fun!

  • You point to me in your Bible where it says we can't have fun!

  • You point to me in your Bible where it says we can't have fun!

  • I can't get enough of these guys!
