2000+ have side airbags. BMW SUV's also have that Rollover Sensor that will deploy the airbags in the event of a rollover. i was just saying that i doubt that a CONVERTIBLE had that rollover feature since they already (most cars) are equipped with the automatic rollbars.
to me, i think BMW did a great job at engineering this vehicle for rollover crashes! the windshield barely bent down and the roll over protection bars stayed up. i say there could have been a lot more damage if it was another car.
1. No side/curtain airbag appears to have deployed, leaving passegers vulnerble to head injuries
2. No mesures have been taken to protect flying arms
3The car completes more rolls than most of its competitors (assuming all parameters are equal). This increases risk of injury.Nothing has been added to the cars design to reduce the number and/or velocity of the rolls.

yea thats true tho..
but i don't think that any any convertible
in its class or any other class
has an airbag that deploys in a
rollover. i also don't think that there WILL be a measure of
protection to keep the hands and arms in the
car. However, im sure there will.

Yeah i know. All BMW SUVS and Sedans
2000+ have side airbags. BMW SUV's also have that Rollover Sensor that will deploy the airbags in the event of a rollover. i was just saying that i doubt that a CONVERTIBLE had that rollover feature since they already (most cars) are equipped with the automatic rollbars.

Pretty true, but there are a couple of things,
