  • I actually own a copy of this game for the Master System :)

  • I swear i played this on the super nintendo......

  • @deadclown001

    Because you did.

    They released this on SNES.

  • SOOO COOAL !!

  • impressive, is this a bootleg rom? Or an actual RARE game?

  • @fuckcomments It was released only in Brazil.

  • @fuckcomments It was a cancelled port (official) but it was released in Brazil by tectoy (the company that used to handle distribution in Brazil)...

  • Pimple is the pimp lol

  • For the SNES version, I really hated the bike level.

  • This music is great!

  • I wish I had this game...I would be all over it!! It llooks great!!

  • i can see this is harder.

well, the thing 1787dude says is right..

    It IS glitchy and hard.

allready played it, and i have not come anything like the SNES version :)

this is way harder, becuase of a LOT of glitches

  • Play this game here;

    iplay.com.br/Jogos/Sega/Master_System/01tF/Battlemaniacs

  • maybe the game was too fuckin glitchy, and hard

  • master system... in 1994 :s Understandable that it wasn't released. Damn the Sega Saturn was about to be released. And there was the original version already been released on Genesis. They could have simply ported it to Genesis. That would have been simpler and much better than this poor result .

  • my respects but i dont see a poor video game result.

  • HA!!! look at pimples name in the top left of the screen!!!

  • LOL Pimples name is shortened to PIMP XD

  • So, they eventually released this game n brazil? I don't exactly understand your description...

  • Yes i got a copy

  • You have a copy of battlemaniacs for the sega master system? What system are you using? Are you using one from north america? or one from europe or brazil?

  • I got a Sega Master System III from brazil 150€! But when you got a Cartridge you can also play it on your Europe maschine but you must open the Cartridge like the us Versions but make no misstake you can break the inside of the Cartridge while open it!!!!

  • Yeah, the SMS was popular in Brazil so a LOT of games got released there.

  • compared toi the snes version this is rather, "inferior"

  • do tec toy games work on an american sms

  • yes

  • thnx for informing me that im a big fan of ur vids how did you make ur page BADASS!

  • No problemmo bud, and thanks for the compliment, really appreciate it ^_^

You can play Master System games from any country on a US SMS apart from Japanese ones as they have a different shaped pin board and cart shape.

  • LOL Pimple's name is PIMP On the corner

  • LOL!

  • The music sounds like nothing... this version is not bad but the sound of the "instruments" are strange. And why didn't they re-used the NES sprites?

  • The music may sound stranger as the guy who made the video was playing it at the wrong update rate so everything including the music is playing too fast.

  • Snes version kicks ass.

  • Mega Master System was selling games in 1994?

  • Err Sega*

  • they say some levels dont have music ~_`

  • this version looks pretty decent, but looks

    aren't everything.

  • The SNES version had better music, i must say.

  • not only the music...

  • lol look at his name "pimp" Brazilians get all the good MD games

  • Man, Brazilians get all the coolest Sega Master System shit! I just ordered like 3 games unavailable anywhere else (Cosmic Spacehead, X-Men and the Incredible Hulk). Those aren't my top picks for rare games to play, they just were available at the time. They have titles like;Earthworm Jim, Virtua Fighter, Robocop3, Mortal Komnat3,Sonic Blast and Street Fighter 2. They still produce games for this system I think.

  • Cosmic Spacehead, The Incredible Hulk and Robocop 3 were actually released first in Europe. But yes, the rest of the games you mention (the X-Men game being X-Men Mojo World) are Brazilian exclusives.

  • nah they just got the crap that didn't slip past our quality controls.

  • when you say unfinished form... do you mean that you cant finish the game and such?

  • Actually, you can finish the game. But there's a couple of glitches, and some levels don't feature music at all. Mostly, it's the same game released for SNES but with some limitations and restrictions.

  • Pretty impressive port.. Wonder if there's a genesis beta out there as well?

  • I haven't seen one of Battlemaniacs, though there are Genesis ports of the original Battletoads, as well as Battletoads & Double Dragon.

  • I suspect there had to be something in production, because it's so weird to port a SNES game directly to the Master System (and we're talking 1994 here) and not to the Mega Drive. Unfortunately, nothing has ever surfaced to the light if existed.

  • @Alianger It has to be. Virgin Interactive also announced it for the Mega Drive. It ended up cancelled before release in the same or similar vein as the Master System version, and TecToy only got interest in acquiring the Master System version.
