  • Love this song. One of ABBA's best.

  • an equivalent to 2000 euro ticket concert i shall pay for it anywhere in this corner of the world...scandinavia, rome, new york, LA, bueno aires, johannesburg, sydney, tokyo, shanghai and of course in South East Asia especially in my Singapore's new Sports Hub ready in 2015/16!

  • my unfulfilled wish till now besides being God's disciple, having gud health, happy family and meeting every day needs is...God forbid, attending an ABBA concert within this decade! I will be tapping my feet with this title, dancing queen, ring ring, waterloo and many many many more. Slow titles like slipping thru my fingers, i hve a dream, fernando and the lists is endless! My fingers cross and praying hard while posting...if God is for it, who can stop it!

  • @ngjoe77 I am hoping and praying that they would do one last concert together. I missed ABBA music. It is just not ABBA if it was not the original group. Please ABBA one last time, even just one venue. I am willing to fly any part of the world just to see you sing live for the last time. From an avid fun in California, USA

  • @indaybrady couldn't agree more, they were magic in their day and, like you, I would go anywhere to see them one more time in Concert

  • Unbelievable quality !

  • very talented group were in right place at right time we loved them earned there retirement thankyou so much for beautifull music dont think we will see the likes of them again

  • I think much of what made Abba so appealing is that they looked like they could be your neighbors. Frida would fit in at a PTA meeting. Benny looks like he could be grilling hot dogs at a neighborhood cookout. Bjorn looks like that guy at the health club. Agnetha...well Agnetha is just a hot uber MILF.

  • @pardyhardly I agree except for Frida. She always looked like and is now royalty.

  • @rsmith45066 I always saw her as a motherly figure when I was younger. When I got older I began to notice her regal sexiness.

  • Abba always amazing!

  • Leigh-Allyn Baker

  • Listening to this song after a long time still as beautiful as I heard it for the first time Beautiful lyrics THE MAGIC OF ABBA WILL LIVE ON FOREVER !!!

  • 0:38 my favorite couple

  • Epic.... just plain EPIC <3

  • e isso que digo musica de verdade nao o que se tem hoje, elvis abba e de melhor que existe

  • ABBA

  • @wserrr So true, so true!

  • МНЕ НРАВИТСЯ ВСЁ ЧТО ИСПОЛНЯЮТ АВВА

  • @Marscrater Oh shut up!

  • Feel good songs forever. : )

  • abba will never die ... :D ABBA FOREVER

  • if only todays pop music was like the good ol times. i would actually say i like pop back in the day, now its pure shit, garbage

  • ABBA daba do. Lets all be more articulate. We all loved them .

  • yes but is on abba more gold. and they have abba gold 3.

  • suprised it s not on the abba gold cd, a great song

  • I might be the only one to think so but I think that songs like these could not be written and produced today - or better, they could but not this way. You can't say that a song is good or bad but for me, there was an innocence in ABBA's music that isn't there in most modern pop music. This was just, making good music for the sake of making good music...

  • @artmarty88 fuckin eh !

  • @artmarty88 True Dat

  • Love this song!! Soo pretty!! The 'Aaah- Aaaah' part is my favorite, and the instrumental alone is soooo lovely!! :-)

  • ABBA are unique.... I love this song.

  • Guy's complaining that there are only 8 octaves on a piano and Abba used some of them.

  • Love the harmony in this song!

  • This sounds COOL! Love it!

  • Perfection personified. Long Live Abba! Thank you for some wonderful memories!

  • Abba didn't write their own songs.

  • @pigeonpsycho most groups didnt...its a real shame

  • No? Then who did?

  • @Youhan07 cat poopers

  • @pigeonpsycho actually, i think they were one of the few pop groups who actually did write and compose most of their own songs :)

  • @minimarsbars nice, you took the bait

  • @pigeonpsycho is this some kind of provocation or what? they wrote ALL of their songs but ONE: the medley of old american folk songs, it´s called Medley and it´s on their third album..other than that, all the songs were written by them. you know?

  • @bourlivak88 nice, you took the bait

  • @pigeonpsycho satisfied now? get a life lol

  • @bourlivak88 thanks for replying

  • @miguelhtp1966 listen to the group Spirit , song: Taurus and let me know if that 1968 song reminds you of anything. 1968.

  • @miguelhtp1966 LOL hataz gonna hate.

Can you write better songs? If yes, then post 'em, big man.

  • @amrak63 yes I can write better songs because at least I write them, tey plagerize them.

  • @miguelhtp1966 Can you provide proof of your accusation of plagiarism, or did you just hear that from the voices in your head? ;)

  • @amrak63 I've been a musician for 25 years, I've studied jazz, blues and other styles of music, I don't have to prove anything to an IDIOT abba fan!

  • @miguelhtp1966

    "I don't have to prove anything" = "I can't prove anything."

You're certainly reaffirming the stereotype of the temperamental artist. Whatever, dude. Call me when the Mothership lands. ;)

  • @amrak63 LOL and you are definitely reaffirming the stereotype of the idiot who has no awareness towards music in its cultural form, what it represents, its diversity and its uniqueness. What you don't know is that there is a difference between music with and without quality. Miles Davis has quality. Why? Because no matter where I go in the world nowhere can I find someone who can play and compose like he did. Abba doesn't. Why? Because I can goto 1000nightclubs n findmusicians thatcan match em

  • @miguelhtp1966 So you wish to push the quaint superstition that some objective definition of "good" or "bad" art exists. Rubbish.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder"--or ear, in this case. There is no such thing as "good" or "bad" art. There is only what you, or I, or any other individual, likes and dislikes. It is mere entertainment--nice to have when you can afford it, but hardly essential to survival.

  • @amrak63 It is sad to see that there are still such ignorant individuals as yourself. Art serves no purpose, least of all survival for if it did it would cease to be art. And your ignorance takes you as far as saying that there is no Bad or Good art only what you like or don't like. You are truly a pathetic and sad soul ignorant of your own ignorance. What gives a certain piece of music quality is its uniqueness, originality, complexity and difficulty to reproduce it - Abba is not that case!

  • @miguelhtp1966 If art serves no purpose, then why take it so seriously as you do?

You seem personally offended that I won't genuflect at the altar of capital-A Art.

You claim that musical "quality" comes from your perceptions of a piece of music as unique, original, complex, and difficult to reproduce. How do you propose to prove the validity of your definition of quality?

  • @amrak63 simply that it cannot be repeated.

  • @miguelhtp1966 That still does not establish your definition of musical quality as objectively valid, and I would say that is because such a thing CAN'T be established, by anyone, since quality of music is a purely subjective thing. It can't be established objectively the way that, for example, the boiling and freezing points of pure water at normal sea-level atmospheric pressure can be established.

  • @amrak63

Ah...yes but if we take the argument music ( and any art )is subjective then we may as well go with societal definitions as to what is "good" or " bad" in regards to a SOCIETY.

As ABBA's songs meet any definition as to what's considered a "success" in our Capitalist and monetarist,m centered society , then I guess it's fair to say they are "Good".

Even if you want to focus on pure technical issues, you'd find that in order to invalidate ABBA , you'd be invalidating a lot of others.

  • @miguelhtp1966 sorry man but you´re the ignorant one..Abba of course are unique, original, complex and difficult to reproduce..their music was about as original as you only in pop can get..they had the most fuckin beautiful girls in music, complex arrangements with many contradicting melodies, they handled the recording studio like nobody else did..and tell me some two fuckin voices that sound together as great as these two do.. many times imitated, never duplicated ...you know?

  • The superb sound created by Agnetha and Fridas harmonies make this original version of this song unsurpassable

  • 2:35 Frida's look!...I love it!! the red shoess!

  • sorry as much as i LOVE aba, i prefer the Czars cover.

  • @0mri : I have to agree with you. John Grant has perfectly captured the sadness and melancholy inherent in the song's lyrics. Abba should go back to the studios and re-record some of their lesser known tracks, like this one and give it the proper studio treament.

  • I like to think that this song was written for Lee van Cleef's character in the good, the bad and the ugly.

  • And after going on to their seperate careers, they each produced the same continued superior quality of music.

  • Great group! A lot of people make fun of them and put them down for some odd reason i could never fathom...I 've always wondered what became of them. Heard rumours that they all got divorces, etc...(I do not put much credence into rumours).

  • @59Skott

They DID get divorces. That is why the group eventually split up.

  • @Petsura That is too bad...the price of fame...

  • E-rotic version of this song is much better!

  • love it

  • brings back some nice memories

  • Listen to the bass on the chorus, it's like a running horse, so cool Ima do a bass cover of it soon

  • Those 9 dislikes are satanists

  • @goodchickenbroccoli thank you

  • One of the best songs ever!!! (not that all abba songs arn't the best songs ever!! :) )

  • love that song !!

  • Why was I born in 1997?

I would have loved to have grown up listning to ABBA rather than all the music I have grown up with and cant stand!

  • @remuscantdie12 Yeah & the wosr thing is there's no such things as music critics-or even the public around to actually criticise it normally. It's like bullshit from Madonna the talentless cunt onwards to today's JLS, Rhianna, Oasis, Kings Of Leon, Saturdays, Pariah Carey, X Craptor etc. all is seen as all-important creative musical crafting 7 statement making. Fuckin' losers, people today are basically robots liking everything that's shit cos they're tuned to not think!

  • the ladies look absolutely stunning at 3:20....

  • How true this song is...

  • Perfection in melody, production and vocals. Frida's lower, warm voice in the harmonies is beautiful. But I love Agnetha too! ;)

  • Such a beautiful song. I can relate to the lyrics alot <3

  • one of my favorite abba songs

  • Absolutely brilliant......

  • Absolutely adore this track, can't get it out of my mind!

  • Bjorn said that this song is quite bad and it´s not even worthy to be on the album! LOL! it´s IMO one of their best songs!

  • @bourlivak88 Woah I love this song. It's one of my favs! :L

  • @bourlivak88

WHAT?? :) The song is great!! Well the hardest critic is yourself sometimes I suppose. But we can safely say that he was wrong !

  • legendary band, why don\t we have such bands anymore?

  • @Svettjodd I'm under no obligation to make myself popular among people I have no interest in getting to know. I didn't come to this video to make friends. I don't expect any sort of meaningful discourse to carry on, or friendships to be formed.

And by whose authority are you qualified to speak on behalf of these few "others" (emphasis yours)? I personally feel few others appreciate this pseudo-crusade you've embarked upon to tell me I was wrong. It's equally aggravating.

  • @Svettjodd I obviously was referring to other people using the internet. Others in general do.

  • @Svettjodd This is the internet; profanity is encouraged here. It's permissable outside of the internet as well- in fact that's where it began. "The internet is part of reality" is an idiotic comment that refutes nothing.

  • OMG..i couldnt love them any more if i tried and im only a young teen! when was this song recoreded? <3

  • @luvssyoukatelynx It was from the Voulez Vous album which was released in 1979

  • They are too talented for words. They strove for perfection in music and almost achieved it.

  • @johnbarristerus

    .. what do you mean " almost " ?

  • @kkdkk7 I was wondering the same thing.

  • @johnbarristerus why almost ? ......... they strove for perfection in music and they ACHIEVED IT ! ;)

  • @kidutz2000 Agree 100%!

  • @johnbarristerus They DID achieve it.

  • I guess my p*****g fire...

  • the best

  • I don't understand the double A-side first single from Voulez Vous album: Voulez Vous/Angeleyes. It hit only UK #5. Voulez Vous was a mistake: it's melody is not so good and the sax arrangement is "cold" and a bit annoying in my opinion.

  • Sehr Schön Lied !!!!!!

  • Well nickbaldeagle01. I think we should report you to the police for slander!

Frida is the daughter of Alfred Haase and Synni Lyngstad. Alfred Haase was a Private (soldier) in the German army!

    Not a "Nazi SS commander"!!!

  • Not part of it, but a result of it? Well, yes I suppose. But don't get all defensive on me here, I was merely pointing out a fact.

  • Really, i did not knew that. U may be mix her with Silvia. Pls explain more.
