Dexter's got it right, although you can only teleport to a waypoint (they're small statues which have an empty, diamond-shaped slot in them) that you've marked by placing a keystone in their slot.

Let's say you've got the red wand and the red keystone. You'd place the red keystone in any waypoint. Later, you can stand on a white magical seal and use the red wand to return to wherever you placed the red keystone. You cannot, however, return directly to the white seal. :/

I'm about to finish this game, I played oblivion on the ps3 and I got bored, king's field 4 starts slow but once I got deeper into the game.. man I got so hooked that I totaly forgot that I own a ps3, by the way I hope to see kf5 on ps3, I highly recomend this game.. as a matter of fact I'd never had so much satisfaction since super metroid.

demon's souls? i think i heard of that before, so does it follow up with king's field or is it just the same type of gameplay and atmosphere? judging from the name i'm going to have to assume the atmosphere is the same and dark and gloomy hacking and slashing your way through hordes of vile creatures while venturing through dungeons and such.

The latter. I think some of the same guys made/developed it. And they were the ones who mentioned what I said above.

It's 3rd person, the environment is medieval, it's got the whole "dark and creepy vibe," from castle walls to lava area to deep caves and dungeons and etc etc.

The level up system is more in depth though, different classes and you get to decide how/when you level up, and what stats to develop to be able to use which weapons.

The translation in the PAL version I played was terrible. The items names and characters were all changed to some often bizzarre things. Bastard sword=Bugger blade, Mammoth shield=Mother shield etc.

Always been a fan of King's Field. I played and beat Ancient City about 4 years ago and I still look forward to playing it again someday. We also need a new one damnit!

Kings Field I was released in Japan only. Kings Field II was just Kings Field here in the States, and Kings Field III is really II in the states. But I was always under the impression that Shadow Tower was the forth one and this was V but whatever.

I fell in love with the king's field series the first time i played KF2.open ended worlds to explore in first person view,engaging story and the classic rpg elements.i played shadow tower(PS1)&eternal ring,KF4 shares most elemnts from shadow tower like breakable items,the 'weight' factors&dungeon design.personally i prefer the worlds from KF2,more outside worlds than inside caves&dungeons.
