I love Chris Cornell but he really screws it up in this song. Seems he has too much nerves which makes him hold back and not sing at his full potential even making it sound false and even playing wrong chords in the chorus. It doesnt make it better that his guitar is also out of tune. Now it sounds like i dislike Chris but this was just a lousy performance on his part...

I actually don't think Cornell sounds that good here. He's a skilled singer and sometimes he sounds good, but I find that he lacks basic resonance right here; his voice sounds tired and dry. There's a variety of reasons for this, but singing with his signature 'rasp' is likely a part of it.

You could totally see Chris was very unhappy with either the band, or life... Maybe and quite possibly both.
