  • This conflict is much older than you kid, so get more information and than you can make videos about it.

  • That's a russian bullshit propaganda!

  • Georgia the superpower.. Poor Russia LOOOL

  • Thanks for the TRUTH!

We are being lied to from every news media.

    Best,

    Gunny

  • "Do your research." Good messaage. Better message: do some more. Russia has been escalating the dispute over these regions for a long time now. It's not about Communist resurgence, obviously, but it is about the Soviet sphere of influence. The Georgian assault was excessive, but not the first move in the game and definitely not a sufficient justification for a Russian invasion. Tell us, why is the aminstream media manipulating us on this issue? Cui bono?

  • I admire the effort this American made in telling the truth, but he didnt go far enough...

It is extremely easy for the American people to have stopped the conflict in South Ossetia, by simply protesting againt its governments criminal policies.

  • To be honest, at this point there is not much I can do, I'm only 17, I don't drive yet and I'm working a minimum wage job. Besides, I don't know many people who would protest in favor of Russia (unfortunatly) I'm going to attend college next year though and hopefully in a few years or so I can make a real diffrence.

  • Its not Georgia's fault that Sakaashvili sent his country's military to slaughter thousands of civilians in South Ossetia..........It is America's fault.

America not only subsidizes billions in arms to the Georgian government for years, it even has 150 military personel in Georgia training Sakaashvili's soldiers. This conflict, and its aftermath are a direct result of U.S imperialism and interference world-wide.

  • informative.

  • SHAME ON you Russians. God sees everything! Sees how you army of Satan is killing innocent poeple, raping teenage girls and and killing their parents in from of there eyes. You will pay for all you did.

  • Only innocent people are suffering.Shame on Saakashvili! He is Bush's dog!

  • Dont you just wish we could all (in every country) move to a HUGE Island away from dumb politica and killer gov'ts and live in huts, grow gardens and live in peace somewhere? lol

I cant stand that theres no place to run to get out from under all this crap, that I wouldnt mind picking up and going to an Island to inhabit away from it all

  • I heard that Russia and Georgia decided to accept a ceasefire, ceasefires rarely last long but it's good news for everyone nonetheless.

  • Would you call someone who shoots at you a civilian? I believe Georgia went in to restore PEACE not to kill. Most of these deaths happened only because Russia AND Georgia were shelling each other. Russia shelling Georgia in a city, then Georgia pulls out. Then Georgia is bombing Russia in the same city. Of course casualties will be insane if you fight in a city -- thats war. Again I am neutral in this, but all I have to say is there is no such thing as a civilian if they are shooting at you.

  • I've studied this since day 1. Yes the first shots were fired by Georgia but against a WELL ARMED embedded attack force within South Ossetia that was armed and trained by Russia. Russia was looking for a way to provoke Georgia into making the first move. The insane death toll here is because you had Russians fighting Georgians AND the embedded army. You don't have to believe me, you just have to ask... Why did Russia have 500 tanks and 20,000 Troops on the border before this started?

  • The Russians probably did expect an attack by the Georgians but that does not mean the Georgians were provoked, Killing civilians is never right, no matter the justification.

  • I had followed it since the 1990s.Had also looked for the cause on why the Ossetians do not want to be with Georgia too.

Do not know if Russians planned this. But they for sure knew it will happen because the 58th army was already on war games in North Ossetia.

As for who trained who, well everyone trains its allies. The USA trained and equipped the Georgians.Next Ossetia did not have an army,it has militia.Abkhazia is the one with an army.

  • The Georgians were still the ones who started this conflict, the second they barraged the city of Tskhinvali and started to fire on Russian Soldiers and Civilians.

  • Of course the Georgians started it.Anyone thinking otherwise is not very bright.

After the first war when the ossetians kicked them out, they were just too happy to sign a peace deal with them and asked Russia to provide a peacekeeping operation.

After They had rebuild their army, they broke all agreements and attacked the Ossetians.

All these drones(Illegal in the first place) shot down by the Ossetians in the last few months. What were they for?

    Exactly for this.

  • I think we have woken a sleeping giant and made a big mistake, I think Russia knows we were behind the attacks and they aren't going to be happy about it.

  • We(The USA) has pissed off Russia on this regard.

WE baited them using Georgia as a pawn in regards to NATO and OIL.

Georgia is not our "natural" ally or "democratic" and Georgia STARTED THIS MESS!

  • As an American please dont include "We" in the U.S.A (as staring anything) can you say (rather) OUR government? Only because the "we" makes us ONE with all dishonorable doings and they have done what they wanted without care that any of us dont approve of their actions.

Your right though, I agree with all you said, Most likely Georgias confidence in whacking Russia was knowing who was urging them on. Right now I couldnt help but beleive it after all the lies we been fed

  • When did I say we in the U.S.A.? can you quote me exactly so I know what your talking about? (I'm not denying anything, I'm just not sure what exactly your talking about)

  • I'm sorry DecimusAquila I didnt mean to quote you I meant to quote travelinguy06, I probrobly lost my place filling in those comment exceeded codes.

    I apologize about that

  • No Problem. :)

  • I wish more people would look at things beyond what CNN and Fox News is feeding them. Glad to see that at least one person has the brain to do some research and draw own conclusions....

  • I am a USA Vet and we pushed and prodded Georgia into this misplaced act of stupidity!
