  • @DcEvoIX STI's have a reputation for a very good reason....they simply beat lots of more expensive and so called "faster" cars, I wouldn't call that over-rated

  • @WretchedDrake lol now theres a jealous response if ever I heard one

  • i love both cars, but if i were to buy only one it'd be the subaru, only because here in north idaho, 3' or more snowfall + RWD= traction issues. but i've always liked the supra's body styling a lot more than the wrx, i just can't find anyone who has one that will let go of it :D probably for good reason.

  • my neighbor down the street has the new nissan GTR fucking car poops on every damn car I have seen. Its scary fast.

  • SMOKED!!!!!

  • GAHH Both are my dream cars. But in the end. I can only decide to get one...UGHHH THE DECISION! -______-

  • @MoowenMangoLo i was gonna troll but... im in the same situation D:

  • if your rich you can buy anycar you want ;)

  • i love both, if i was rich id buy a supra, if i was poor, which i am, id save up for an STi

  • @MossMan5000 sti is 3 times what a supra is worth

  • @mattyflips well with all those mods yea

  • @MossMan5000 i dont think you need to be rich to have a supra :) thats why theyre so popular, because regular joe can get in one ( and providing he knows how to handle the boost) can slap a ferrari about all day!

  • It's funny there are two good choices for both.. quick, nimble rally car? Sti or evo... Super fast highway monster? Supra or GtR!! And really cant go wrong with any.

  • In other words if straight acceleration is what you want go for the supra but if it's cornering go with the sti

  • I agree both cars r one of The best cars under 50k including the evo supra amazing engine and trany but it's mostly good on the straight and crazy hp. But subi it's an all around kinda car it does everything cortners straight, snow gravel and dirt I love my subi but if I could I would have both

  • i still love the mazdaspeed 3 and it's within grasp the price range of the sti and supra is too high for me

  • both very nice cars i'd take either one but i have to say supras really are monsters.

  • I love both!

  • are they fuck supras are shit

    its like earth and moon

  • i have a sti..but really wish a had a supra...thank god i dont have a srt4 or something...subies are still the best tho

  • @803scsubie i second that! i love my scoobie and also love supras and am lucky i didnt end up with somthing like an srt4 or anything FWD for that matter... i would love more speed like the supra has, but honestly there is something about a subaru that makes it a subaru. and anyone can argue all they want but they will never know until they own one

  • LOVE MY TOYOTAS FOR LIFE!!!!!

  • Supra till death

  • Take it to the track.

  • CANT FUCK WITH STI ENGINEERING

  • @dEgamingClan

God lee man, I was talking about 1k supras. And fuck drift, it's the dumbest thing ever invented.

  • @Bosanac199pete formula drift is amazing you jealous you cant drift

  • brothers in crime supra and sti

  • @PnkFloydFan420 haha thank you about time someone fucken told that kid off..

  • like watching two hornets stinging eachother to the death! bahahaha!

  • its funny how some people say that their cars are better but they dont have any proof. they probably have like a very old civic or soemthin but they say they have like a evo or some other type of tuner lol

  • Supras have past the 1,300 WHP mark. I would love to see an EVO or an STi getting anywhere near that mark with only a turbo.

  • @TRD21Bryan

Yeah, but what is 1k+ supra good for? only for drag. And all of them are glide trannies, which doesnt take any skill to take down the track. Subaru/Sti AWD is overall better car than supra will ever be. But in drag, supra hands down.

  • @TRD21Bryan i doubt that a supra has passed 1300 with only a turbo; cus in order to have a turbo making that much power you have to have supporting parts; which pretty much ends up in rebuilding the engine; i know it can hold 900 on the stock engine but idk about 1300

  • @TRD21Bryan idk about the sti but there is evo's up there past 1,000who but still I have seen more than 1,300whp from supras but both the supra and the evo are my favorite cars well and the 70 chevelle ss but we aren't on that topic lol I have an evo just haven't come up with enough money for a supra yet and fuck sti they are so over rated

  • thats a slow supra almost sounded N/A

  • @sickbro91 Trust me.. if that was a N/a Supra it would have been left behind..

  • my corolla screams louder than that STI yo

  • @vexatuvex lol screams louder.. but doesnt pull as hard -_-

  • @r3rum i was kidding, i actually have an STI :)

  • @vexatuvex baahaha i have a jetta VR6 :/ lol... not quite to the levels of the STI or Supra :'( lol... i need to drop a turbo in itt!

  • @PnkFloydFan420 I never got why the hell they are both 4dr sedans? is there a point to the extra weight and length?

anyway continue, if you ask me they are both slow @stock but then again I got a built sr20.

  • I love em both but my sti i was running at 13.1 wit a perrin catback exhaust system 04 sti r.i.p now i got a 04 g35 not that fast

  • just so you guys know the supra is a six cylinder nto a four. however the scoob is a four and it damn sexy.

  • The sti was starting to pull on the supra

  • Both are wicked cars, your lucky to own either one of these cars, supra was way ahead of its time and the STI is a performance legend

  • @brumster01 word, the supra was fucking epic, i want it to come back now!!

  • @brumster01 no, both are not wicked cars. The supra is wicket, the STI is a flaming faggot ass piece of boxed shaped dogshit driven by the most moronic and pussy ass faggots.

  • @WretchedDrake hmm, biased much? i'll agree that the Supra is one of the best 4- wheeled inventions ever, but the wrx sti is still a VERY formidable opponent. before Ken Block got a ford fiesta he had a WRX (heavily modded, still a wrx though) and obviously ken doesn't use any car he would risk his career or his life driving the way he does.

  • trut trut!!!

  • @SUPRABOY5881 is your name kendall wadsworth?

  • subarus are better than supra

  • You're an idiot, honestly. Subaru is operated by Fuji Heavy Industries in Japan, which is a single company.

The only relevant tie to Toyota would be that Toyota has shares in FHI. But this is also the same for Nissan and GM.

Nissan owns Infiniti and the newly aquired Renault company. As well, GM owns Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Holden, Opel, Vauxhall, and a metric shit ton of other companies.

Does that mean I can no longer compare about 20 automotive companies to each other?

  • @EnerjetikBand goddamn it i love im sorry. i should learn more about cars. forgive me for being an idiot on that one

  • you must be really stupid.

  • not entirely true toyota owns like 15- 20 % stock

  • Hell yea they are!!!!!

  • They are both great cars....supra is a legend.... it has one of the best platforms for mods...... but the STI has alot of potential also... the sti i think..i could be wrong..but i think its a bit quicker but supra has more top end power... off the line and in the quarter stock for stock the sti will walk the supra.. but ob a highway run the supra will win...sti would prpbably eat the supra on a track too..but the 2jz is still a beast...

  • @TheMugenboy wrong a real tracked supra would run with a sti on the track after 80mph the sti is fresh meat

  • @TheMugenboy haha not really man, fastest legal supra went 0-60 in 1.19 secs. they had a video on youtube of it. so insane, it had to be automatic. now that shit is fucking quick as hell

  • @adunn225 1.19 secs damn lol that's too fast lol supras are monsters

  • tru tru

  • Stock...STI would beat a Supra. STI's are alot quicker. A Stock Supra is not that fast. But they have more potential then any car on the market today. There is so much aftermarket support its ridiculous. you can build them up and make them crazy fast. but you could also build up a STI and make it insanely fast as well. Supras are just more popular in the import word. I own a 2004 Subaru STI and love it. But I would also love to own a Supra. It is one of my dreams to own one

  • No, STI's are NOT quicker than stock TURBO Supras, and they are only a LITTLE faster than NA Supras. Any stock gen IV Supra is quick. You don't know what you're talking about.

  • CoChicken1337... If I had a video camera i would vid tape me racing my buddys Supra. Its a complete stock 96 Supra TT. My STI is stock except for a custom made exhaust. The ONLY time he can ever beat me is if we start from a 70mph roll. Supras have alot better top end then a STI. STI's has alot of low end torque.

  • Then there is something wrong with his car.

  • have you been in a sti before? or a stock supra? or are you just somone that goes by what engine size is.. Some people seem to think bigger engines means a car is faster, that is not always true. there is alot more to cars then just the engine. like i said. a supra has much better top end power then a STI. a STI has alot better low end punch.

  • I have ridden in both and I have driven an STI. I know what I'm talking about when it comes to cars. I'm not your typical YouTube user who just shoots off my mouth about shit when I don't know what I'm talking about. A stock TT Supra runs USUALLY, with a good driver, anywhere from a 13.1-13.3 second quarter mile. A Stock STI (up until 2009) USUALLY, with a good driver, runs about a 13.7-14.0 quarter mile.

  • STI usually runs a 13.3 not 13.7 had an 06 R.I.P

  • @CoChicken1337 Wtf are you talking about? 07 Sti's have been doing anywhere from 12.9 to 13.3 with a good driver. Supras have been doing anywhere from 13.5 - 13.8.

  • @CoChicken1337 You sound like a fanboy. Stock vs Stock = Sti. Fully built vs Fully built = Supra.. at least in a straight line. ;x. Sorry, but i laugh how you say the Sti is a little quicker then a n/a supra.. they're so fucking slow lol.

  • STi would whip past the Supra all day long, unless the Supra was tuned/modified but again the STi can be tuned/modified...

  • i fucking love supras and i remember when you could get a pretty decent twin turbo for 15k the last 4-5 years the price got hyped and now i cant find a high milage one for less than 25k there goes my dream car

  • yehh that sucks ayy

  • Forget it bro don't ever get one at that price; even if u have the cash; that car became popular because its a great tuning platform but for 30 to 45 grand? fuck that! think about it, u need to spend about 80 grand including the car to get it where u want it; Stock it anit shit, its got 300 or so HP which every other car has no a days, and it weighs 3400; over priced sorry

  • yea the supra is way overated now... i saw a MKIV on ebay that was not modded and had over 200,000 for 20k. but not every other car has more than 300 HP... 300HP is not something to just blow off !!!!

  • that's not a Supra!

  • Practically everything you just said in that "sentence" contradicted itself

  • lol? no handling ability? what the fuck are you on? you have never been in an STi to say that...no offence please comment back...lol

  • what? are your parents siblings?

The supra's handling can't touch the STi's on DRY pavement, let alone a dirt/gravel/snowy/wet road.

stop fucking posting and go find a way to cure yourself of your fuckin stupidity.

what does a 600 hp and 1000 hp supra have in common? a 12 second time slip. supras are dyno queens and you are just a queen.

  • sti all the way...but not gonna lie, the supra shoulda stomped on the sti

  • cny,

if the supra was stock or especially if it was a MKII Supra no it won't.

Stock MKIV supras have about 320 hp and weigh about 400 lbs more than the STi. a MKIV supra may have slightly walked an STi but it wouldn't stomp it.

the MKIII turbo supra only had 220 hp and weighs more than the STi. you do the math.

  • i know this, but usually people only put videos of their modded supra's...its nice to see one lose once in a while

  • Ok i am a major STI fan cuz they are very good cars for the money, unlike the supra being 20k or more, for a 90 model, but honestly the supra should have smoked the STI.

  • gijo

see my response to cny's comment. a stock 90 model supra will not smoke an STi. especially at 70 less HP(sorry, they had 232 hp, not 220) and more weight.

  • A stock supra in general will not smoke a STI; 305HP 3400lbs RWD while STI is 300HP 3100lbs 4WD. 1998 STI is even better 290HP 2800lbs. Tuned on the other hand is a different story the 2JZ can smash over 1000HP

  • RMBmike..... dude i meant a later 90's model, the stock Mark IV twin turbo supra would lay the smack down on an STI, but like i said im not putting the STI down or anything.. its just the facts bro... you are right though im not so sure about a Mark III.

  • Not exactly GIJ. Stock for stock, the MKIV Supra will get walked in the 1/8, and possibly even the 1/4, and on most tracks by the STi. And if it's any type of dirt, gravel, snow, wet, etc, the Sup will be lost.

    STi: 300hp, 3250 lbs., AWD Supra: 300hp, 3600 lbs.

Stock STi is 0-60 in 4.8 and runs a 13 second 1/4 at about 100 mph.

Now, likewise I'm not putting the Sup down either. It's a great car, and where it shines is top end and the moddability of the beautiful 2JZGTE engine.

  • ok whatever man... the specs are right, but its not always up to the specs to say which one would win. i agree if a sti was to race off road it would stomp the supra TT...though. lol were all up to our own opinion i guess.

  • Comment removed

  • Now that i think about though... your right i guess the Sti would be a big challenge for the supra from 0 to 60 but after that there is no change once that twin turbo really kick up the boost on the inline 6.

  • However toyota probably holds the best engine designs.... at least they did in the past decade lol

  • they are coming out with a toyota ft-86 subaru engine but its still production

its probally going to get the lexus is-f engine check it out its nice

  • well said dude...

  • there cheap as shit in japan. im in the air force and my buddy lived there for a few years he bought one there for like 15k but to get it street legal in the us/ship it over is the pricey part.

  • anyways good luck and let me know if that pricing estimate is more off than I thought. Another quick side thought is a prev gen audi s4 with the twin turbo v6. Its zippy stock but Ive heard stories of getting alot of performance out of these cars for the buck. I'm battling between that, an NSX and a BMW 2000+ era M coupe. I think that mid engine draw is gonna sucker the engineer in me into the nsx. good luck.

  • i paid 19,000 for my supra and it has 100,000 miles the only time ul pay 40,000 is when ur buying one in pristine condition with low miles and i wouldnt say sti is more durable cuz a 2jz block can easily take 600hp stock and the bottem end easily takes 1000

  • Sounds like a pretty good deal. If all works out for you it will be quite the bang for the buck highway terrorizer. I loked a little more n autotrader and ther were some ones more reasonably priced, but what i found interesting was the range of pricing. I saw the (almost exactly) same car for sale for 25 and 40 g's. That's kinda scary though lol.

  • supras are not easy to buy depending on year and paint color some are more rare then others

  • of course subaru has the better technology the supra is 10 yrs older but supras arent that far off i put down 460rwhp/511rwtq in my supra with stock turbos at 18-19 psi on pump gas most stis need a single turbo and built motor to put down those numbers

  • this is true, and nice car btw. But couple year old STI getting similar awhp/tq performance considering AWD will be an absolute animal, and wont cost much more than your car's current setup.

  • i actually like the older stis and my setup olny cost me about 1500$ so i dnt no bout the sti gettin same power with same price

  • well I'm not sure what yr/model you have but from breif searches ur payin $40,000 min for a decent late 90s supra twin with probably ave 75k miles. An older STI 03-05 runs about $17,000 giving you ~25 gs to spend on the engine. I imagine stock handling on either car, though a differnt style, would be roughly equivalent.supra more max lat gs but sti better transition, ie both will have their perks.

  • Also the STI will be a better more solidly built more durable car, not to mention it has less miles and years already. (disclaimer: not a sales pitch) I own a bone stock 06 STI which I have loved for the past few years, and will be selling soon to try a new car, probably gonna get a used nsx and work it. Few other stock manufactured cars can tackle a tight, twisty, and bumpy country road at the speed it will. It's rally heritage really shows through in that type of environment.

  • it is a good car, but subaru has alot better techology, of course talking about stock models... of you can put 10 turbos then put them but in stock basic version i prefer alot more an STi

  • besides, Subaru owns the best symmetrical AWD technology DCCD differenntial control electonical traction control full independent suspension system Impreza was born for rally no doubt about that i would like to see a supra do what an STi does off road lol

  • PUNCTUATION FOR FUCKING SAKE.

  • What are you an english teacher. STFU !

  • 80mph? up to 110 in most cases some of them even 140... taking the worst rural streets - if there are some - or just pure of road flying cliffs of, splashing in lakes going at 90mph with no troubloe... i would like to see if a Supra can do that... 4 door or 2 door nothing to do with car performance...

  • stfu

  • Hey im getting a supra soon and was wondering how much it would cost to make it 4wd and if its worth it.

  • Not worth it and I'm not even sure FR cars are easy to make 4WD because on FF cars they mostly add a custom axle to it. If you're getting a Supra leave it that way, they'll be collector's items anyways

  • That sounds like a TERRIBLE idea to me. If u want Awd get a used sti and upgrade the engine (and its 200lb lighter already with the awd drivetrain.) Since it comes with much more durable drivetrain parts, you could boost it up a couple hundred HP it would still likely be able to handle it. I'd mention EVO's, but they have a significantly weaker/lighter drivetrain (why stock EVO WHP is typically higher than the more powerful subie engine.) If I were getting a supra I would def keep RWD.

  • haha burned

  • PnkFloydFan you are a freaking genius !! just saying lol

  • awdTALON,

You realize the car your sig is named after is a NUETERED EVO? Where's your own rant put your sled?

  • lol haha ud rather fcuk a donkey wow man if ur gunna diss someone dont make ur self set up for a diss back

  • hahaha, 400hp92's comment made me laugh... at him...

  • your an absolute gronk, an sti is one of the best stock cars going around and your shitty talon looks like the donkey ure gna be fuking

  • o ok 2 door u say aight im goin to go buy a nice 2 door civic get sum nice nos and a cool bodykit that ill keep on with tape. fuckin retard sti has won several world rally racing championships with acceleration under 5 seconds and a quarter mile of in the 13s. o u say a fmily car right ok hey mom lets go take a ride in our world rally racing chamionship car to baseball practice and dont forget the racing harness safety first u no. haha fuckin retard

  • sti got more traction .. soooo ... anywayss .. i lovee supras anyways .. ;)

  • STI guy here ... stock for stock, the Supra is just faster top end ... 1/4 mile, it's close ... starts, STI all the way.

  • i think its a 1jz not a 2 in that older gen. sup

  • agreed the initial acceleration is way better than top speed ive only been to 146 still room to go but not much mines not stock ive been working on the top end ill beat a stock supra on the 1/4 mile by about half a car to a car

  • Its pretty much what a Supra is known for. It pulls like a motha on the freeways.

  • dame should have keep on the gas u would have best him

  • no way the sti ways pulling and the supra sounded stock the the sti would beat it stock for stock and the sti wasn't stock

  • ..around 60 the supra would take it due to its AWD...but once past 90 it cant hold the lead. Sti's are not made for top speed runs.

  • all about low to mid range power.
