  • My two cents on meditation is that

Meditation is the act of thought, whether deep or no. Meditation can be used by the smartest or the...well......Not-so-smart.

  • heehe, yes. i've found that too. "meditation does x, you should meditate!" "good idea! BUT HOW THE FRACK AM i SUPPOSED TO DO IT?!?!" XD

on another topic, great to hear your voice again.

  • This was so interesting SR, meditation is really useful i'd say. I feel really light minded afterwards. Demzly!

  • While I tend not to hold your views, I find your videos very informative and in the least bit, interesting.

  • Wow I can't believe I haven't replied to this one yet. I'll claim that the comment notice fell between the seats in my car... yeah... that's it.

*anyways* I'm glad that you're still enjoying my videos, and of course feel free to toss in your critiques, thoughts, inspirations, and questions. I like a good conversation after all.

  • Finally. I've sifted through several sites looking for a some type of guide for meditation to see how it compares and differs with Celtic centering. I've read about how rewarding and useful it is, but did not recieve a single amount of instruction. x3 Thanks for making this available, Spiritrunner. I found it rather helpful.

  • I am most happy to be of service. While learning (I'm always learning mind you..) I have always found that lack of 'specific' instruction annoying as well.

Have a good'un, thanks for commenting, and I hope you find my (eventual) future vids to be helpful as well!

  • On you neckless? is it a triangle with a circle in it?

  • Not quite. It is a minimalistic rendition of a dragon. In a nutshell, it's a snakelike body (no limbs in other words) in a questionmark-type shape, with wings coming from either side.

  • Oh. Thats cool haha. I was just wondering because the triangle thing means spirit haha.

  • have you ever study about the different I's that live in the subconcience and travel through ous nerve system to posses the mind, the emotions, sexual energies, instintive, and movemente centers? well, I did not knew auntill I read books of Master Samael Aun Weor.

    these is very interesting.

    thank you.

  • who was the person talking in your ear?

how do you quiet your mind?

    what talks inside of us?

what is the purpose of deep breathing?

    lot's of question right?

    i'll wait for answear.

  • Ok. My computer isn't fixed yet but I'm gonna answer anyways.

I didn't have anyone talking in my ear. I wear the headset because I need the microphone. My computer fans can be loud enough to add background noise to my videos.

There are many ways to quiet the mind. However I find that they all do the same basic thing. You quiet yor mind by focusing your thoughts on a single thing. It can be a specific image- like a candle flame, or a simple mental task like observing your breathing...

  • As for what talks inside of us, I am finding it hard to find a short answer. About all I can manage is that many things talk inside of us. Our subconscious mind, the higher self/soul mind/call it what you will, the voice of our spirit guides, and of course our inner criticism as well.

Deep breathing promotes relaxation, as well as increased oxygen levels in your body. It also helps you build up energy, and gives beginners something to focus their minds on.

    Thanks for the questions. ^_^

  • Oh, and yes. Overall the main goal of meditation is expansion of your awareness both externally and internally. As you learn to expand your awareness it also becomes a more and more powerful tool for affecting change within yourself.

  • I've always been kinda intrigued by what id see with my eyes closed as a child.. And little did I know, I just had to focus on a central point to truly start meditation. It's just a center point, possibly my third eye, on which I focus, and when it opens.... WOW. Marijuana can help with meditation, BTW.

  • Indeed it can. Trouble is that it's also a crutch. You become dependant on it to reach a relaxed state. Besides along with the relaxation it fogs up your brain. It might seem like you're having profound thoughts but more likely it's just word salad. Or something like

"I know they call them fingers, but I've never seen them 'fing'."

All in all I don't recommend it- addictive qualities notwithstanding.

  • Oh, and if by 'center pont' you mean the middle of your brow ('forehead') then yes it's your third eye you are focusing on.

  • someone has studied the tao! lol. excellant vidoe my man. i've noticed many people have asked me how to meditate, and when i look at the books they read, it really doesn't tell! kinda odd? don't cha think? excellant way of telling to. much more gab then i coan accomplish.

  • Truth be told my knowledge of the tao is actually extremely limited. ... ok so I know nothing of the tao itself. Still I wouldn't be surprised to learn some of my ideas exist within it. I'm full of all sorts of little eastern wisdom-bits that I gleaned from books on spiritualism and such. Unfortunately most writers do't include where -they- learned these nuggets of wisdom from so thus I'm in the dark too.

  • from my perception, meditation is not only to find peace inside, but to find more about your self, who we are, what we are, the purpose is to conect to the superior councience, other wise, it will be time lost if we don't connect to the superior being, other words, lees mind, more perception.'good luck.

    see my videos.

  • Though true, remember that a child must learn to crawl before it is to walk. And so it is too with connecting to spirit and the higher consciousness. I place a lot of importance on learning one step at a time. Jumping ahead can cause problems of all sorts.

Every building, no matter how tall, begins first with a foundation. If it is laid improperly the entire structure will topple and crash down around you.

  • Personally, I'm a fan of lotus position and humming quietly to myself. The vibrations give me something to focus on early on. Fantastic video, I wish there was more good information for newbies like this out there, 5'd.

  • I agree. Most of the information I've found has always assumed that the reader/watcher is already experienced. It makes it hard to get started.

  • Great explanation! Keep up the good work. Will you speak about meditations that involves physical activity? I find "just breathing" or "just being" and so on difficult to say the least. All and all good video!!!!

  • Truth be told I never thought about it because it's the opposite for me. But now that you mention it I'll see what I can come up with. It'll likely take a while though because I'll need to get some research done. Not to mention practice it for a bit so I can see how it works.

  • That'd be awesome. Thank you. Take your time. :)
