  • Pokemon black and white is diffidently the best so far.

  • You're really good using the move curse! :-) Just a question though, why does it say you had the battle on the 25th, but it says you uploaded it on the 24th. I'm confuzzled lol

  • @Psyraine - LOL glad you pointed that out. The person who uploaded the battle for me lives in a different time zone. Australia I think is 11 hours ahead of the UK. Gonna fix that right now ;-}

  • Really loved the video, would be awesome if you upload more of these videos on your channel!

  • An elegant display of working around the opponent's psychology with your battle strategy. Kind of makes me want to start playing again and experiment eccentric teams. Keep it up fellow Pokemon Artist.

  • @Tarikan5 - Hey, thanks for the compliment Tarik. Part of my elegant work came directly from inspirational moves you've displayed over the past couple of years. My inspirations are never forgotten ;-}

  • Very inspiring video, anxious to make an unique B/W team myself now.

  • What equipment to you use to upload the battles with such nice quality? I also want to upload my own battles, but I can't :(

  • @juantg2003 - A very special friend of mine uploaded the battle for me. All I did was provide the battle code and the rest was taken care of.

  • Wow, I never expected you to upload BW Random Wi-Fi battles!

    As for the match, it was great. I absolutely adore that Chandelure of yours!

  • and at last atreecko surrenders to ds battles! lol

  • Fantastic battle!

    I think the opponent kinda messed up by switching out so much. He could have used those precious rounds to deal some damage.

    I love the use of Curse. It's not often I see that on Ghost types.

  • Curse is a move that should be used more (on Ghost type Pokémon that is). It will often ruin the opponent like it did here :D

  • Great match! I didn't think anyone was playing random singles since we know have Rotation Battles but oh well. lol. I have to admit, that Chandelure threw me off. Being the fragile little ghost it is, I thought your opponent was gonna straight-shot go Brave Bird on it. Smooth!

  • Its always fun to see one of your vids in my subscription box! Love the pokemon you used too, I don't have a simipour yet, but I run a defensive Chandelure and a Curse Carracosta. Both really cool pokemon.

  • Great battle, as usual.

    Using 5th gen was good for a change, but Im really hoping they release a wii stadium-like game soon.

  • I have a smashing carracosta too.I kinda dislike playing with misses and such, so i use a smack down EQ set. IT still has a realiable rock stab, and allows for a EQ follow up on pretty much anything. By the damage you took from that EQ, id supose you are a sturdy and not solid rock carracost right? I'd say that if you run white herb is pretty ok to run solid rock as it still would work. I dont really know your ev's, and apparently you do them manually, but i suggest some bulk to carra, it works!

  • @brunowert - Thanks for the advice. Carracosta is a physical sweeper, and sturdy allows for me to ensure a Shell Smash and hopefully hit back just as hard. White Herb eliminates the stat drops helping Carracosta to fend off being swept.

  • @atreecko i sometimes preffer solid rock over sturdy because if the opp has a priority, or is simply faster(354 after +2) you really just lose carra :P. I like to run some bulk in mine, go max speed+ but ivest 80-120 evs in deffense and the rest on attack! Great battle anyway, curse chandelure is beast xP!!! You are very creative :D

  • There aren't enough good, detailed Random Matchup videos on YouTube like this. Good job. The annotations work just as well as a narration, if not better than one.

  • That Curse was the last thing your opponent expected, judging the decissions he made early in the battle, although it was understandable the way he/she taught. Good battle!

    It's fine with me that you're using common sets, as everyone needs them sometimes. :) Too many gimmicks can have a hard time keeping the team balanced.

  • Nothing like watching your videos during a neighborhood blackout :3

  • @yourlilemogirl - Oh goodness! Well in that case I hope the battle was able to show you the light ;-}

  • @atreecko it worked quite well! haha and it actually helped distract me from the raging thunderstorm that was going on outside! Thunder scares me, and a tornado watch doesn't help either x.x

    but all is well! :3

  • Haven't watched many videos lately. Now I remember why I used to love yours though. Chesto-resting Curse Chandelure is new to me. ^^ Also love your predicting.

  • Ha, I never thought to use a white herb with shell smash before. XD And shell smashed Caracosta was faster than a Gyarados? I'm going to assume that Gyarados was rather lacking in EVs....

  • @paceetrate Most Gyarados are ev'd in a specific way to reach a certain benchmark when dragon dancing, example just outspeeding 120 base speed after dragon dance. And Gyarados does not have 100 base speed anyways, so even with full investment, he would not have outspeed Carracosta, as he just barely reaches around 100 base speed after a shell smash.

  • @paceetrate - Gyarados come with all types of (ev) investments! This one in particular, judging from how well it took that Ice beam after a single Nasty Plot had to be a bulky DD set.

    White Herb along with Shell Smash go hand in hand. The amount of priority use available should make room for more coverage, and so the side affects are wiped clean allowing for a more sturdy approach.

  • Nice use of curse to avoid sucker punch. I really liked that Simipour, I've been meaning to use one but I couldn't think up a moveset, can you tell me it's evs, nature, and moves (and Ivs if you try to get a specific stat maxed.)?I wonder why I ever stopped watching your videos... Well when I saw that you finally caught up with 5th gen I couldn't resist. I'm glad I watched it though. By the way are your Pokémon legit or hacked? From the 5th gen on I'll always use legit.

  • @Magiphart - Simipour is a standard special sweeper. It's ev's are equally split between speed and special attack with the remainder in hp. Nature is Timid and I think it's easy to guess what moves I have after exposing all but one ;-}

    I'm as legit as they get and breed continuously when ever I get the chance. This team is just over 10 months old, and has been battling on random wi-fi for a while now.

  • @atreecko I'll guess surf though small chance it's hydro pump. Why didn't its berry kick in? Also I thought you hated the lifelessness of the ds. How long do you breed your Pokémon and what kind of ivs do you usually get? Why am I awake at 3:50 AM?

  • @Magiphart - The berry was negated by the actions of Dragon Tail. Because the move forces a switch, the item does not activate. Upon switching Simipour back, did the berry activate it's ability.

    Breeding can last as long as a minimum of 2 hours depending on whether or not I'm satisfied with the nature and IV's. Can also take up an entire day, so I make sure I bring along my 3DS to work lol

  • @atreecko You finish your breeding in a day!? It takes me much longer... What kind of IVS do you usually get? Perfect in 1 stat, Perfect in 2 stats, Perfect in 3... Do you also rotate the Pokémon to? Say the child has better stats that the parents and is the same geneder so you swap it out for better a better chance of high IVs. Do you use the power items meant for ev training in breeding to guarantee an IV transfer? Finally what do you do on the few occasions you use legendairies?

  • Oh man the Flame Body hax on Staraptor was priceless.
