I talked to some one that heard this from Preot him self. "The powers that be threatened Ross Perot's kids life. They told Perot he had to back out of the race temporarily in order to save his kids". They knew thats all it would take to cause him to loose. Look at inflation now. Perot would have stabilized are country in every way. Look at JFK. Just like today Vonshtain is showing us the truth and where all this is going... (in his book "Free to Be Me") I have been reading Perot's book and Vonshtain's and few others on the issue, great works! The Chinese have fired a few warning shots across the bow about America trying to inflate out of this mess. But "growth" is what will happen and I'm sure that not too many people have thought about some of the policy choices we will be forced to make.

God I wish a Ross Perot type would emerge to deliver us from the bondage of these two rotten parties. If he or she did emerge, I would worship him or her as God.

Indeed, and I favour them both. However, the reality of today's politics and the oodles of money you need to raise make them both unlikely to have an impact. Ron Paul in particular refuses to leave the Republican party, and you will never see him win the nomination, as it is a rigged system.

I didn't realize that he was still publicly expressing his concerns. If American citizens had elected him to office back in the 90's they most certainly wouldn't be in the boat they're in right now...domestic or foreign!
Instead they just poked fun at him, and elected a polished womanizing speaker for 8 years (Clinton), followed by 8 more years with a moron (W. Bush).
America is too caught up with the Hollywood image and the bs that the press feeds them in deciding who should lead them.

Americans generally prefer beer, video games, bars, sales, sitcoms,wrestling,baseball and other mindless activities, in place of deep, intelligent concern for America. They'd rather read 'national enquirer' and follow breathlessly the tabloid's sensational bullshit.
