LOL@the guy dancing down the street that looks like Rog from "Whats Happening?" I thought I remembered seeing this commercial in the 70s too. Maybe I was wrong from being so young. Still, AWESOME TIMES!! =-]
@pitbullgirl65 Aww..sad. Lots of 80's stars gone now too(Laura Brannigan, John Parr, Corey Haim). Well, time moves on and Mr. Microphone still ROCKS!! LOL
0:27 i remember that so well but dont you think there would be feedback??? Also i think I used one when I was a kid. someone had one. People look at stuff like this now and ANALYZE, and I noticed that there should be FEEDBACK ect... you see how close those people are and the volume???
Dorks and now the dork, uses the same thing and it is called a karaoke machine.Line dancing fools also say hey good looking I will be a dork .I was a kid when the commercial came out and I though he was a dork then.
I'm a noise musician who specializes in guerrilla performance. Me and others play freely improvised music in public places without permission, on whatever we can find. We prefer battery powered instruments and acoustic instruments because they require no near by outlets, no set up, and if the cops come to kick us out, we can make a clean get away without having to tear down audio equipment. A product like this could help us add amplified vocals. Radios don't need to plug in and they are small.
Connecting up a small homebrew microphone preamp to a commercial FM transmitter (like those used to play iPods through a car stereo) would be a pretty easy hack.
what's the name of the fake Mr. Microphone video someone made where they put their own voice over this commercial?

I mentioned this as a joke to a co-worker and she didn't know what I was talking about. I'm now officially old.
