This song seems hypocritical after the horrible heap of love songs of "Album of the Year," but the band is redeemed through, "Momma, I'm Swollen."

Album of the Year is a release from the Good Life, while this song from The Ugly Organist and Mama, I'm Swollen are both releases from Cursive. The Good Life started as Tim Kasher's side project to be able to write and play songs not typically associated with Cursive.

Both Tim Kasher and Conor Oberst played together as kids in Commander Venus, it would make sense to hear an influence. But Conor is actually 6 years younger than Kasher, he just had the first release on Saddle Creek, then Lumberjack Records, so he had the first claim to fame. Everyone on that label works close together on the albums so it is easy to hear other artists influences.

That's the first time i hear this song, don't really know this band. It's thanks to AP's haircut 100 that i'm listening. I really like it, i can't help but to hear a Bright Eyes resemblance. There are worse comparisons, right?

I'm suprised that there is so few comments on one of the best songs by an utterly amazing band. I absoluely adore this band, and the video is simply great. The Ugly Organ falls under my top ten albums ever made.
