  • Ty great info, very complete the best diy vid going thanks for the info.

  • thank you very much for this video.

  • I a new owner to my 2005 Acura TL base with 118k miles on it. God knows when the last time the ATF was changed out. I've notice a "slip" between 2nd and 3rd when im a little harder on the gas than usual in Sport mode and sometimes in auto. Will a 3X3 flush with type-f fluid and changing out the 3rd and 4th pressure switch help? And would the best way to do the 3X3 flush with type-f, is to do it 3 times over a 3 month period, due to my high mileage?

  • after you do 3X3 how long will it last before you change it again?

  • how often do you guys change the oil on your transmissions for the tl??

  • Is the 3 x 3 necessary ? Im going to change my trans. oil tomorrow. and By any chance do you have a video on how to change the trans. oil filter? Your video really helped out... i got a really good idea on how to do it myself .. thanks..

  • @MauricioMldnd How many miles do you have on your TL currently? When was the last time you flushed your ATF? I wouldn't worry about the filter replacement.

If you have high mileage, I would drive for about a month or two in between each flush.

It is good if you do the complete 3 x 3, but you can do it over the span of half a year or so.

  • Ok i'm confused. What do you mean by a 3 by 3?? The dealership is quoting $180 for Transmission flush, is that high? They said the fluid alone is $90 and 1 hr labor, sounds kind of high to me

  • @TOSHOKU 3 x 3 = 3 qts of fluid, 3 times.

$90 is too high in my option for 1 flush. If you were to do it 3 times that'd be a lot of money. This is a fairly easy do-it-yourself

  • Has anybody found a proof that gear switches (3rd, 4th) and type f fluid will prevent the tranny failure. Cause my tranny failed a year ago which my dad and I (with Gods help) fixed. I filled it up with Z1, and later on changed the switches; but sometimes it still shifts rough, so now im wondering i if you guys would recommend flushing the fluid with type f?

  • @andreypushkin Yes, you are only getting half the benefit. Flush it with type-F. Although you may still get hard shifts, the Type-F will make your transmission last longer

  • Just wanted to thank you for this video, it helped me immensely!

  • aye bro! i got the 03 tl-s...where can i buy those type f auto transmission? are those good as well for my car? btw, where can i find the 3rd and 4th pressure switch? any idea? thanks! GREAT video!

  • hey man great. video. just wanted to add on the 04 the transmission is still on the left side of the car.

  • @xdevaux Thanks for that info!

  • Thank you so much for the vid !!!! This was exactly what I needed to know. Sweet tl man. I got an 08 tl and was also wondering where you got your lip for the trunk. Hope you respond. Thanks again !!

  • @staind039 Hey there, glad this video can help. I got the trunk lip from e-bay. I believe it was $150 unpainted.

  • Awesome video man, bout to do a 3x3 over the next couple of weeks and this was very informative and now I know exactly what to do :) Thanks again.
