God, I miss this man so much and I've never heard of him until now...Somehow, I feel so deprived knowing he is not amongst us anymore...hi words of wisdom have touched my heart so deeply, and so fully...the earth seems to be losing the wisest amongst us, may his words carry on to penetrate and effect all hearts who are destined to hear him...A great tribute!
I love this man, I look at this guys videos and I cry because of all the injustice the Indigenous Americans suffered. I am not going to deny that some tribes brought demise among their own people, but I would like to extend my support to present day Native Americans, for there barely any left.....

This is on the set of 'Grey Owl' (1999), with Irish actor Pierce Brosnan playing an Englishman who came to Canada (northern Ontario) and so admired 'Indians' that he learned enough to pass.
If we all would thought the way he did - world would be much better place to live and people wouldn't sort others for their skin color. iIndian people are with so tender hurts that it costs them so much...
It is very moving to find all these tribute videos to my late dear friend Floyd. I have missed the good times we have had on the road together, listening to his songs and sharing our stories. And I am glad that some others who may never have heard him have this chance to hear the breadth of his wisdom and the greatness of his heart.
a great man, a real man, RIP, i know your body has died but your spirit is among us all now. Love respectn and honour from Ireland. thank you for your vocal support and love to Ireland.

RIP Grandfather, Thank you for sharing your stories, your wisdom and your culture with the world. You will be missed by many till we meet again on the blue road.
I only know of this man through his movies. His spirit seemed to emanate great peace and serenity. I always wondered what he was like in real life. Thank you for your comments here; it helps me understand what kind of man he is. I hope we meet when my time here has come to pass and I hope I can greet him with "Iyuskinyan wancinyankelo, chikala!"
red crow, thankyou. you have shown the path to which we can open our hearts and souls. you possessed the knowledge and wisdom that so many of us today have lost. may you greet the creator is his highest regards, for he himself along with our mother the earth both will thankyou for all time. May your journey be a swift and pleasent one. I thankyou.
May Your Words Of Wisdom Carry On To Touch Our Young Native Brothers and Sisters. To Learn The Way Of Our Elders Wisdom and Carry On How The Great One Spirit Has Put Forth For Us...
#2 It was a moving experience and one that I will carry for a life time. Thanks for the video. Too bad the actual "Grey Owl" movie sucked . I was hoping for something good but was disappointed. Onen ki wahi.
#1 Great video! Far better that my comedy I pieced together with my videos shot on the same set. I was in that show too. I remember Westerman well. I thanked him for all the great music he produced in the 70's. He was like our Dylan. The first time I actually met him was in Kahnawake in the late 80's while he was touring with the FREE Mandella-Leonard Pelltier tour. He sang for about 20 souls at the United Church Hall and afterwards ran a sweat at my home.
I just came across this video and I did not realize that He had passed away. the Native American/American Indians are a beautiful people. My step brother is part native american. I think he is Manicknak (not sure exactly, I have not seen him in about 10 years). I used to go to PowWow's all the time. I also had a friend who is native american and he went back to live on a reservation in Michigan. He was of the Little River tribe. I still have the Prayer Feather.
Very moving I think both the American, and Canadian indians are wonderful people.
My family were personal friends of the George family ie Chief Dan George, that is. My parents met him many years ago on a visit to Vancouver BC. His son Len attended my father's funeral in Surrey BC 1983,and sang an indian song for my dad, in was a great honour.
a great man and warrior a voice for all the oppressed people of the world.. black.white.red yellow.brown we were all his brothers and sisters. he saw us not as different races but as fellow human beings a great respector all life human and animal kind the great spirit in all life we are all of the same spirit.his knowledge and wisdom touched the hearts and minds of many. the prophecy of the rainbow warriors is happening. the great spirit has touched many. safe journey my brother
A Beautiful tribute to a great man, Red Crow. He will also be missed by many outside the Indian Nation. Red Crow formed a bond with all peoples who struggled against injustice, no matter the color of their skin. Greetings from Ireland to all my Brothers and Sisters everywhere who are involved in that struggle. RIP Red Crow.
If it was not for the lokata way i would still be stuck in abyss of not knowing. Bless you Red Crow for your giveway of your heart and your integrity ,
i want to follow you red crow i will watch you live on in the video world. grandfather cha-megwetch ( big thankyou) ojibwa duncan pheasant Nagonigwane..

Red Crow's spirit flies across the plains....faster than any horse.
The spirits of his Sioux ancestors join him in this new spirit dance.
Together, they ALL fly across the plains.
They have become the wind.
Peace.
