The first time I saw this game, was as an arcade machine at a skating ring. I think I was about 12 at the time. I took a good long look at it. Then I asked myself...."why". I was so offended that I didn't even touch it. I was at the skating ring for about 2 hours. I would check to see if anyone stepped up to play the machine. NOT ONE PERSON EVEN TRIED IT! Also, it was in the corner collecting dust anyway, so that is proof of how bad it was.

Personally its a tad hard to decide which of the versions of this game are better.

The console version had a better soundtrack, more stages (I believe), and slightly better gameplay.

The arcade version had sprites that weren't scaled down and made utterly shitty, and overall the presentation was better..

The arcade game is miles and miles worse.

Capcom coded this one themselves, while the arcade game was untouched by Capcom (so the game isn't RIDICULOUSLY BROKEN). The engine here is very close to Super Street Fighter II's. Plus none of the voices are dubbed so all the moves sound correct (none of that "DRAGON!", "HURRIKANE!" crap).

It's not great but I downloaded the PS1 version and it wasn't a horrible experience (I still think I may have had less fun with CFE since playing this was for fun).

Yeah, the home version of SF: The Movie had EX Specials long before they were introduced in the series proper in 2nd Impact. Here, they were called Super Specials (not to be confused with Super Combos). Although, X-Men and Night Warriors also had them.
