Bite me, I'm posting on Youtube, I would be remiss if i wasn't a little immature. This is NOT about the rights of the individual voter, this is about Coleman beating a dead horse and the GOP desperately trying to cling to what power they have left after their party crashed and burned.

Eventually Gore sacrificed his bid for the betterment of the country. We could not expect the same from the Republicans. Um when Norm was ahead I think he made a press statement that every vote and the loser should concede to the public's vote. Now that the vote count is against him, he is taking a different approach to the prior statement, why?
Could it be the fact that he may be a sore loser? Not sure since I dont live and follow MN politics we have way too many issues to follow here in SC, hence the reason why I pondered our 1 Senator speaking so many words for the loser of the popular vote in recount 2 or3?
If working people can not by now realize that the Republican party is NOT A WORKING MAN'S/LADY'S PARTY, then I feel sorry for you. The republicans have proved that all they care about is to put money in THEIR pockets and the top 1% in this country and to keep power so that they can continue that process. So I guess you have over looked all the multi-millionairs in your Democrat party, you know the ones who cheat on taxes, have questionable ites to indiviuals that bomb the capitol and other places, you mean the same Democrats who are as crooked as a $3.00 bill who just committed grand larceny on America with this PORKPORKPORKPORKsimulus bill. by the way jackass the Democrats have been in charge the last 2 of those years. Is Minnesota state law being followed? Yes, but FRANKEN wants a quick resolution and to be declared the winner before everything runs it's course. Al Franken is a TOTAL whack job, and everyone who voted for him up there deserves what they get if he ends up winning this thing. If you listened to his radio show for 5 minutes, which was on the air for not much longer than that, you'd understand what I mean. My hope is that the laws are followed to the fullest extent - that's all anyone can ask.
Did Al Gore request a recount in all Florida counties? Or just a few select counties?
Regardless, when this case is adjudicated, in favor of Democrats or Republicans, you can trust that people like me won't WHINE about the election more than EIGHT YEARS after it happened. It sucks you can't let go of that hate and anger, though. :)
I said it was funny. Why do you think I am angry? Should I be? It sounds like Coleman is doing all the whining. Don't give me that timeline lie, people like you are still talking about Chappaquiddick and Jimmy Carter.
Recounts had to be requested county-by-county. Many counties had a three day time limit for submitting rerquests. Some counties did recounts automatically. The Gore team requested 4 counties to be recounted. Katherine Harris certified Bush before the recounts were done.
As a Minnesota voter, I don't care what these people have to say. Kind of funny to ponder ... if Norm was still a Democrat, would all these people be pulling for Norm to win in this lawsuit?
Norm Coleman for the rest of the GOP whores and pimps, not Norm Coleman for the people of Minnesota. How funny is that?? They say it outright, like he is running for president! It's not about him serving Minnesota, its about him giving the GOP that 1 extra vote. You conservatives or so double standard.
Sort of like when Hillary did a commercial for Franken telling Minnesota that the Dems needed that 60 vote majority to end any potential debate or fillibuster in the Senate? Sort of hypocritical.
WTF are these people asking for? The election is over. Do they want us to drive to ballot boxes and burn all the franken votes? Coleman must be a big fat pussy if he's asking us to do anything except wait for the damn votes to be counted. Election Fail!!!
Corruption in full view. What's the money for -- bribes?
Give it up & stop whining. Elections have consequences. Now, if you butt out of Minnesota's business & go back to your home states, we'll give you a box of graham crackers for good behavior.
And a very similar percentage, only fractionally larger, voted to NOT have Norm Coleman for another term.
You don't have to have a majority of the vote to win in MN, just the largest number of votes. Before the recount, it seemed like Coleman and the RNC were doing all they could to limit the number of votes recounted. Now that they have lost, they are suddenly taking the opposite view. It's all very self-serving. Norm CAN'T win back the Senate. He's not campaigning, just complaining.
Before the re-count Al Franken did everything he could to include every possible ballot for him legal or not legal.
Franken would be doing the same thing if he had lost by a 200 vote margin. Let's count all the votes and then see who wins. Franken has done plenty of complaining.
I'm all in favor of trying to count as many legal votes as were cast. And I think Franken did that too. Not just votes for him, but every legal vote. But, I'm an optimist. I don't know what you're talking about with attempts to get "illegal votes counted.
But we went through a process that made determinations on that, that was part of the recount. Now Norm wants to do a recount of the recount? How many recounts will it take before he (and you) are satisfied that he lost?
Franken (or his lawyers) attempted to push through ballots that were rejected in Hennepin County before the first vote certification. During the re-count the Franken camp openly said that the rules that accept or reject absentee ballots should be relaxed for the voter - so yes Franken would be ok with illegal votes if they are for him. Coleman knows that the 4000+ votes that are part of evidence right now are not all for him.
OK, so IF these 4000+ votes get counted and Franken is still determined to be the winner, do you think Coleman will concede or try to find some other point to argue?
When will it end? When should it end?
Coleman called for Franken to concede in order to save the MN taxpayers money. Franken didn't ask for a recount, the recount was mandated by law. But NOW Coleman is begging for money to extend this process. This is costing the State money too! And we don't have a vote in the Senate!
If Franken comes ahead in these 4000 votes, than Coleman should concede. Agreed.
I would call for Coleman to concede now if the margin of victory was higher than the number of questionable votes (rejected absentee, double counted).
Coleman did call on Franken to concede when he was 1000 votes ahead on election day - a comment he later said he wishes he would not have said days later even when he was still ahead. Franken could have waived the re-count - but didn't.
I can't see any way Franken could have waived the recount, not when the recount is automatic. Franken didn't ask for the recount and he would have been rightfully pilloried if he had declined it. I think Franken's margin of 225 is slightly larger than the disputed alleged "double count" of votes. And the 4000 votes have already been looked at carefully by the canvasing board and rejected? So Coleman is appealing that. I just don't know what he's basing his appeal on.
The recount could have been waived had Franken conceded. Alaska and Virginia have similar re-count laws we have in Minnesota - and both candidates that lost on election night waived the automatic re-count. The canvasing board did not touch the 4000 alleged rejected absentee ballots. There was inconsistent sorting by counties which is why both Franken and Coleman have been pushing for more votes to be counted. If Franken lost the re-count by 200 votes would he challenge this legally?
Woulda/Coulda/Shoulda. We can play that game all day long. Hopefully this will play out sooner rather than later. I'm tired of Minnesota being under-represented in the Senate, especially when such important legislation is getting debated and passed.
omg that was amazing i wish i could do that but me i know how to do very few thing haha but ya cudos to you ... i think imma try to learn to do that [=
Had Al Franken not been the Democrats' candidate, Coleman and the National Republican Party wouldn't have been dragging this out. Frankly, this is disappointing to see from one national party that denies me, a Minnesota resident, equal representation in the U.S. Senate. You don't see me going to other states and preventing Republicans from taking the oath of office.
GOP voted no on stimulus. They voted YES to Bush's stimulus package which poured gass onto the fire into that lead to the current depression. Clinton started the fire.
The GOP is a TERRORIST organization. Every bill they passed puts Americans out of work. The GOP are LIARS.
There is no difference between the jack-ass party and the GOP because the GOP sits on top of the jack-ass's manure pile. One and the same.
After watching this procession of pinheads, I'm looking forward to the 2010 elections and thinking the Dems will easily top the 60 seats (not including that sad-sack, Lieberman) needed to render the GOP completely impotent. What a great day that will be for America!!
Coleman's Senate Record: YES-Warrantless Wiretapping; NO-Immigration Reform; NO-Health Care for Vets; NO-Iraq Troop withdrawal deadline; YES-Border Fence; YES-Estate Tax Cuts; NO-Stem Cell Research; YES-Against Gay Marriage; YES-Tax breaks for Oil Companies; YES-Make it harder for people to declare Bankruptcy; YES-Make it harder for people to sue Corporations.
Of course the GOP wants him back. And Minnesota has no law for a re-vote or a special election. FRANKEN WON.
NORM & GOP LOST. GOP IS CORRUPT AND NEEDS TO GO AWAY FOR A LONG TIME TO PAY FOR THE LAST 16 YRS OF GOP CONGRESS & 8 YRS OF BUSH.
GOP voted NO on the stimulus, THAN took credit for it, while lying about whats in it. FU GOP. I'm on the conservative side of middle, white grad school professional in my 40's and I don't love the DEMS, just hate the GOP.
I'M ROOTING FOR AMERICA & OBAMA
GOP IS PLAYING POLITICS & WANTS AMERICA TO FAIL FOR THEIR OWN POWER. THEY ARE TRAITORS, NAZIS & COWARDS.
Norm Coleman isn't try to get every vote counted, Coleman right now (today) is still trying to disallow votes that happened to go to Franklin. Stooping low doesn't seem to be a problem for the Republicans!!! They are trying to disqualify some voters just because some election judge forgot to put their signature on the ballot even though neither state nor federal law requires this.
Republicans didn't want every vote counted when Coleman was ahead!! Democrats are now in a position where that can pass laws to prevent the Republicans from ever stealing an election again.
Good evening, Mr. Coleman. I am sorry that you are upset that the transparent, non-partisan recount process did not determine that you got the most votes in the Senate race. I wish you the best of luck in the future in your new life, wherever it may take you.
You can't "want to count every valid Minnesota vote" in order to "get Norm Coleman back in the Senate." Those are mutually exclusive items.
It must be nice to have a lucrative job to fall back on regardless of the outcome.
Republicans, you sure aren't doing a very good job at fundraising if you don't include a URL at the end of the video! Where to send these funds? Surely this isn't just an attempt at obstructionism and this ad wasn't just made to help make the court challenges look valid?
They seem to be unclear on the concept of elections. Franken got more votes. No amount of solicitation of cash is going to buy Classless Norm Coleman a seat in the Senate, but Coleman is still ever so willing to be used by these clowns to deny MN it's second senator. 2010 is going to be ugly for republicans.
these losers have so far been removed from reality that its such a pleasure seeing this sour grapes video>>>> SENATOR AL FRANKIN , PLEASE TAKE YOUR SEAT SIR !
If you can't win the seat then sue for it huh Norm? Show some dignity and step aside. It's over. You lost. FIXed News has a seat reserved for you I would think.

fishbait888 2 years ago
Norm Coleman for the rest of the GOP whores and pimps, not Norm Coleman for the people of Minnesota. How funny is that?? They say it outright, like he is running for president! It's not about him serving Minnesota, its about him giving the GOP that 1 extra vote. You conservatives or so double standard.
jimmy039 2 years ago 2
Sort of like when Hillary did a commercial for Franken telling Minnesota that the Dems needed that 60 vote majority to end any potential debate or fillibuster in the Senate? Sort of hypocritical.
Namzso1 2 years ago
WTF are these people asking for? The election is over. Do they want us to drive to ballot boxes and burn all the franken votes? Coleman must be a big fat pussy if he's asking us to do anything except wait for the damn votes to be counted. Election Fail!!!
andrewh23 2 years ago
Complete and utter garbage. While Coleman is entitled to his day in court the claims he is raising seem obstructionist at best.

We want him back in Washington.... well too bad he didn't win.

Corruption in full view. What's the money for -- bribes?
Give it up & stop whining. Elections have consequences. Now, if you butt out of Minnesota's business & go back to your home states, we'll give you a box of graham crackers for good behavior.

58% of Minnesotans voted NOT to have Coleman serve a second term.
Republican thirst-for-power interests first and foremost...
heretiger 2 years ago
58% voted to NOT have Al Franken for a first term.
Namzso1 2 years ago
And a very similar percentage, only fractionally larger, voted to NOT have Norm Coleman for another term.
You don't have to have a majority of the vote to win in MN, just the largest number of votes. Before the recount, it seemed like Coleman and the RNC were doing all they could to limit the number of votes recounted. Now that they have lost, they are suddenly taking the opposite view. It's all very self-serving. Norm CAN'T win back the Senate. He's not campaigning, just complaining.
RockingJamboree 2 years ago 3
Before the re-count Al Franken did everything he could to include every possible ballot for him legal or not legal.
Franken would be doing the same thing if he had lost by a 200 vote margin. Let's count all the votes and then see who wins. Franken has done plenty of complaining.
Namzso1 2 years ago
I'm all in favor of trying to count as many legal votes as were cast. And I think Franken did that too. Not just votes for him, but every legal vote. But, I'm an optimist. I don't know what you're talking about with attempts to get "illegal votes counted.
But we went through a process that made determinations on that, that was part of the recount. Now Norm wants to do a recount of the recount? How many recounts will it take before he (and you) are satisfied that he lost?
RockingJamboree 2 years ago
Franken (or his lawyers) attempted to push through ballots that were rejected in Hennepin County before the first vote certification. During the re-count the Franken camp openly said that the rules that accept or reject absentee ballots should be relaxed for the voter - so yes Franken would be ok with illegal votes if they are for him. Coleman knows that the 4000+ votes that are part of evidence right now are not all for him.
Namzso1 2 years ago
OK, so IF these 4000+ votes get counted and Franken is still determined to be the winner, do you think Coleman will concede or try to find some other point to argue?
When will it end? When should it end?
Coleman called for Franken to concede in order to save the MN taxpayers money. Franken didn't ask for a recount, the recount was mandated by law. But NOW Coleman is begging for money to extend this process. This is costing the State money too! And we don't have a vote in the Senate!
RockingJamboree 2 years ago
If Franken comes ahead in these 4000 votes, than Coleman should concede. Agreed.
I would call for Coleman to concede now if the margin of victory was higher than the number of questionable votes (rejected absentee, double counted).
Coleman did call on Franken to concede when he was 1000 votes ahead on election day - a comment he later said he wishes he would not have said days later even when he was still ahead. Franken could have waived the re-count - but didn't.
Namzso1 2 years ago
I can't see any way Franken could have waived the recount, not when the recount is automatic. Franken didn't ask for the recount and he would have been rightfully pilloried if he had declined it. I think Franken's margin of 225 is slightly larger than the disputed alleged "double count" of votes. And the 4000 votes have already been looked at carefully by the canvasing board and rejected? So Coleman is appealing that. I just don't know what he's basing his appeal on.
RockingJamboree 2 years ago
The recount could have been waived had Franken conceded. Alaska and Virginia have similar re-count laws we have in Minnesota - and both candidates that lost on election night waived the automatic re-count. The canvasing board did not touch the 4000 alleged rejected absentee ballots. There was inconsistent sorting by counties which is why both Franken and Coleman have been pushing for more votes to be counted. If Franken lost the re-count by 200 votes would he challenge this legally?
Namzso1 2 years ago
Woulda/Coulda/Shoulda. We can play that game all day long. Hopefully this will play out sooner rather than later. I'm tired of Minnesota being under-represented in the Senate, especially when such important legislation is getting debated and passed.

I wonder if they are paying Lawyers that are Democrats? What they are asking for is a handout to the lawyers.

GuitarSpeller 2 years ago
Republicans didn't want every vote counted when Coleman was ahead!! Democrats are now in a position where that can pass laws to prevent the Republicans from ever stealing an election again.

Good evening, Mr. Coleman. I am sorry that you are upset that the transparent, non-partisan recount process did not determine that you got the most votes in the Senate race. I wish you the best of luck in the future in your new life, wherever it may take you.
tzushih 2 years ago 2
You can't "want to count every valid Minnesota vote" in order to "get Norm Coleman back in the Senate." Those are mutually exclusive items.
It must be nice to have a lucrative job to fall back on regardless of the outcome.
Republicans, you sure aren't doing a very good job at fundraising if you don't include a URL at the end of the video! Where to send these funds? Surely this isn't just an attempt at obstructionism and this ad wasn't just made to help make the court challenges look valid?
kelsbackonyoutub 2 years ago 5
Cripes, this video is a who's who of who's wrong.
