I met Armin T. Wegner in Rome shortly before he died. I went to play for him a cassette tape of two songs written by our mutual friend, Felix Wolfes. I was overwhelmed by him...and greatly inspired by his humanity...his courage and his goodness. He gave me one of his books and wrote a touching inscription. I shall treasure it always and the wonderful day spent in his aura.

trotzdem achte ich das deutsche volk und hoffe, dass es unter ihnen mehr wie WEGNER gibt.
