Pretty sure this was me driving M1069 (not M1062).
The cries of anguish at around 1:42 would have been when a Routemaster on the opposite side of the roundabout was very nearly taken out on its offside.
Top speed was actually around 42mph.
Have since bought my own Metrobus. Maybe this drive influenced that decision!
This brought back memories. The only thing I had previously that was remotely close to the MCW Metrobus were DAF DB250s, another type notorious for good thrash.
Hi, Do you mean M1069? 1062 was scrapped about 8 years ago. At first I thought it was me driving in this vid, but now have my doubts. I did drive M1069 in service at Cobham 2009 late in the day.
In the past I've driven M1177, M1180 and M1196 and all three have the fastest pullaway with excellent acceleration all the way up to 50 mph (though ungoverned they can do 65 mph)

Nice to see an ex-london bus still with the centre exit doors not removed & panelled over like on the McKindless versions. Great thrash too

yep, those conversions are horrible. If you are going to have the door removed, do it properly, otherwise leave well alone.

This must of being doing 50mph at least. 65mph must of been mouthwatering.
