@schpleeb this is very progressive, one of the most progressive songs on the album. Blood mountain is probably the most even mix of straight up ballsy metal mixed with super proggy elements. its the mix between leviathan and crack the skye. thats what makes mastodon sooooo good. they play proggy atmospheric rock that is heavier than any other band, and its never compromised with technical wankery, its all so tastefully done. best metal/prog metal band in existence.
