  • I did this without turning off my phone cos the sleep/wake button is broken and now I can't turn it on even when I charge it. Help pls

  • @alexcalaunan Seems odd it wont charge. Even when plugged into a computer it is not being read? I would suggest just double checking the motherboard connections to be sure nothing is loose and then attempting again.

  • i did but the screen didn't work -.- !

  • never mind i followed your advice!!! it works!!!!

  • @uraveragedude1 Great work!

  • no top comment...this is my chance....HOW DO U PUT THIS ALL BACK IN? cuz now im stuck -_-.

  • @uraveragedude1 It is simply just this guide in reverse. Where exactly are you stuck?

  • hello, sure my iphone 2g you know when your turn off the phone you have to slice the red icon for shut off that is good working right but the first slice for unlock the phone does not work so i think i need a new lcd let me know and thanks...

  • @djyaken This is the touch screen digitizer that effects touch sensitivity. I would suggest replacing this and it will resolve the issue (assuming there is no motherboard damage). Check out these replacement screens at RepairsUniverse (dot) com.

  • my phone is ok i think some one can help me is not working the first screen says slice to unlock but when i turn off the phone the sign it says slice to turn of is fine so only the first screen let me know someone if i need a new screen or i can fixed in other way thank you .....

  • @djyaken Not sure I understand the question. Is it touch screen not functioning? Or not functioning on certain screens?

  • My one was clued everywhere! >.<

  • my iphone go blank white then i do as you instructed and after that, when i turn it on it's only show upper side of the picture and the rest is still blank white..

    what should i do ??

  • @arielmatulessy I would check the connection of the LCD flex cable to the motherboard. Make sure it is fully in place. If that does not resolve the issue, I suggest contacting the supplier of the part.

  • how do you know which digitizer you need to buy cuz have 2gen can some help plz

  • @idol16794 If the outer glass screen is cracked or damaged, you will need to replace the touch screen digitizer.

If the image on your display is not functioning properly, your LCD screen has been damaged and will need to be replaced. There are also screen assemblies available at RepairsUniverse (dot) com which have both screens pre-attached and are much easier to replace, with less room for errors and damages.

  • some kind of liquid spilled on my iPhone it still worked fine but it got dirty between the screen and something else. So i took it apart like u instructed , but now that i put it back together the screen won't come on, I get the sound and everything but nothing on the screen, did i break the screen or i just didn't plug in the screen right?

  • @audiolsave69 I would double check the connection and make sure it is fully in place. If it was still wet when disassembling, its possible the moisture gathered somewhere and caused the screen or possibly the motherboard faulty. Difficult to tell. Make sure the connection is good and there is no damaged to it (rips).

  • But do I need both if I want to repair the iPhone or will simply changing the digitizer work because i don't want to buy anything if I dont really need it. I'm kind of tight on money, so I really need to be careful with what I buy.

  • @Kingalen01300 We currently do not offer the digitizer by itself. If you manage to remove the digitizer from the LCD screen without causing damage, you can reattach a new digitizer. However the LCD screen is prone to damage. Replacing the screens with an assembly such as ours is a sure way to repair your device, without the worry of saving a screen.

  • @RepairsUniverse What is the full name of the item that I need to replace, because I believe I have a spare, but I wanna be sure.

  • @Kingalen01300 The part you need is the "glass touch screen digitizer".

However the full screen assembly is much easier to replace.

  • @RepairsUniverse So it's the digitizer I need to replace?

  • @Kingalen01300 Correct

  • I need help. If the bottom half of my iPhone 2g wont respond (the slide to unlock) but the top half of the touch screen works fine, am I supposed to buy the LCD, touch screen, or digitizer? Thank you.

  • @Kingalen01300 Sounds like a faulty touch screen digitizer. However it is common to use a 2G assembly on this occasion, as it is much easier to install and decreases the likliness of damaging the LCD screen when removing the old digitizer. These assemblies can be found at RepairsUniverse (dot) com.

  • the screen is laminated to the digitizer. so buy the whole ensemble. lcd and digitizer. btw. the digitizer is the touch screen.

  • Hi my iphone a A1203 2g is suffering from a perpetual black screen. It is detected by PC when connected and touch screen seems to be responsive. (I tried restoring it to factory settings via Itunes and when it asked for password, I clicked it into the black screen and it was accepted...) Any ideas as to what is it that I need to replace?

    Thanks

  • @esesolox3 If it is recognized on iTunes it rules out quite a few possibilities, could be an issues with the LCD or LCD connection to the motherboard. Double checking the connection would not be a bad idea, and replacing the LCD screen may solve your problem. Hope this helps. We do offer replacement iPhone 2G parts at RepairsUniverse (dot) com.
