The sword blade cut of the tomato was not as clean as you might think. The sword-handler was twisting the blade as he thrust resulting in a less than clean cut. The source of the problem was that the tomato was placed at the limit of his stretch where twist had to occur. The tomato was clumsily placed.

Had the sword-handler thrust correctly, for the position of the tomato, the cut would have been perfectly clean.

@kristoffer1909 don't think it's fake to be honest. They might use a different caliber / ammo type / range. FPSrussia usually shoots from a fairly "large" range on rather large melons. This melon appears to be relatively small (something like 5 bullet lenghts, not very big if that's a handgun bullet, and I think it is) and the gun could be just a bit outside the frame. Not everything on youtube is fake.

This camera is not even close to being the slowest slow-motion camera in the world. The Olympus i-Speed FS is much faster and has a frame rate of 1 million frames per second. Olympus has many camera models that are much faster than 5,000 fps. They are able to stop a bullet as it exits the gun barrel and show it in perfect detail.
