  • im pretty sure it wont be long and you will end up with a pile of parts in your driveway

  • holy shit! i remember watching this video when it was first put up when i first got my computer, i would never have remembered this except for your abandoned house videos, and i went to watch more. wow nostalgia trip

  • You think THAT'S junky? You should see my piece of shit!

  • definetly not 7000

  • I can already hear signs of push rods comming loose. A Chevrolet 350 should never have to be pushed past 4800 to 5300 rpms man. Anything more than that is bad trust me, I got a 82 SS, 410 Hrspw 425 Ft Lbs Tq. You dont have the horsepower to be reving that poor engine. Buy some Vortec Heads and an Edelbrock High Rise Intake Manifold and some Headers flowing to some Flow Master Super 40's dumped at the axel. Then, you'll have some power kid. I'll upload a video soon.

  • do you still have this truck? it's pretty clean lookin for an 86

  • you better adjust those valves before you drop one through a piston.cuz you can hear it when you let off it sounds like a sewing machine.

  • Have a 70 camino. have a stock 350. DeMon carb. Patriot headers. Flowmaster Exhaust. Sounds purty. Moves damn quick for not havin a built motor too.

  • thats one bad mama jam ma,see my rare project at, scotts el camino 028 mpg.

  • Is it so surprising that a V8 engine turns 6000R/pm?

  • fake

  • that looks like its revving to 6000 but it doesnt sound like it that is 4000 rpms at most and for it to jump from a 1000 to 4000 as fast as your tach shows you would have to have a racing motor

  • LOL now he has 0 gas!!

  • Your Elky sounds good, but at 1:30 it sounds a bit off when it goes back to idling.

  • Somethin' just ain't right here.

  • I really don't believe that's 6000....

  • Negative. Stock 350 redlines at 4200 rpm.

  • I hope you realize that your tack is set on the 4 cylinder setting.

    Thats like 3500 rpm.

You have to have a pretty well built motor for 6 grand. Im talkin forged crank, short stroke, h beam rods, 4 bolt mains, solid roller cam, screw in studs, roller rockers, plus the right cam and head combo to make the motor breath well enough.

That was not 7 grand. Try 3500. If your on 4 cylinder mode on the tach, it will read double what the motors turning. 7000/2 = 3500 rpm

  • @4d1Nash you're right about it not being 7,000...but it's definitely not 3500. Listen to that engine! And you don't have to have a well built motor to hit 6 grand, most stock 350's will hit 5,500.

  • yes most stock 350s will hit 6000, but the trick is making them last and perform at that rpm

  • @willDANCEforPENNIES that really does sound like 3,500. CAN U BELIEVE IT HITS 7. THOOUUUSSANDDD. RPMS! no i cant fucking believe it.

  • @willDANCEforPENNIES yes listening to the engine sounds like my old pocket bike, btw i have my own El Camino, that was not 7000RPM trust me I know I'd show you 7500 RPM's in my El Camino. and stock 350's were not in El Camino's 282's and 305's were look it up.

  • @qasdr85elcamino when did i say it was stock? I may have said that somewhere. If I did, i meant that this is A stock 350...out of a GMC van, in other words, the engine itself is still factory. But it's not THE stock engine in this car. Thanks for the comment.

  • @qasdr85elcamino I saw this and just had to say somethin,my elkie I recently got for my first car has a chevy 350 with a four barrel, its not like his car couldnt have had one put in it

  • @4d1Nash You do not need a well built motor for 6 grand. I have a Chevy 355 with stock internals, the only thing I did was get it balanced and blueprinted. I can hit 7000 under load. You don't need all the stuff you mention to hit 6000 let alone 7000. This engine here was floating the valves. To hit 7000 you need strong valve springs and a balanced, blueprinted bottom end, and solid lifters. That's it.

  • @arizonaresident1 And I forgot, a good aftermarket module and coil.

  • @4d1Nash While your right about that, I see a problem with your thoery... If it was set on 4 cylinder mode, since his idle is at 900rpn when it was idling it would be reading 1,800... I know it could still be double but I promise that engine is not idling at 450rpm but thats the only way it could read a 900 rpm idle with the tach set on 4 cylinders.

  • Fucking Amateur. You should know most V8s ( especially a cast-iron 350 ) can't handle that kind of beating..

  • @Sarcasticscum but it just did? Still running strong today?

  • @Sarcasticscum I agree got an 80 el camino been in chevelle since i been a kid and at 7000 rpm you`d float the valves and bend the push rods got mine at arround 450 hp and it might maybe come close to that but after about 5k in engine alone and beleve me it dont soude like that lol

  • @Sarcasticscum and what wrong with cast iron...??? THE strongest engines built are cast iron no piece of shit aluminum block will ever be worth buying...

  • @Leckrovov

Really?? What about the ZL1 engines?? All aluminum, and worth $55,000+ by themselves.. You're fucking stupid. Aluminum heads, blocks intakes are the future of the combustion engine.

  • @Sarcasticscum and yet you have to dick around with changeing the plugs and if god forbid you dont do it just right you have to replace the the heads so fuck you....

  • @Leckrovov

Really dude? You're a fucking moron.. Seriously. Don't have kids.

  • @Sarcasticscum thats ok i wouldnt want any kids of mine to breath the same air you do there I.Q. would suffer greatly...

  • @Leckrovov

Right, right.. Which is why you misspelled "their" with there?? You really are a dumbass. Point proven, now go fuck off.

  • @Sarcasticscum what are you the fucking punctuation police?? FUCK YOU is that clear enough for you??

  • @Leckrovov

Punctuation police?? Punctuation is the use of PUNCTUATION MARKS; such as periods, commas, etc.. You fucked up with SPELLING, thereby compromising your intelligence.. WAS THAT CLEAR ENOUGH FOR YOU??? DO I NEED TO USE ONE-SYLLABLE WORDS WITH YOU NOW??? I thought so.

  • blow it up

  • i love how i get thumbs down for saying that he had a loose belt. i had an 85 trans am with a carbed 350 in it and did the same thing til i tightened up the belt on it, gotta love the old bracket mounted alternators.

  • Ya thats why its KNOCKING! SO BADD SOUNDS LIKE SHITT

  • 7000 rpms so what.gay.

  • Yeah I can believe a smallblock can hit 7k rpms.

  • thats kewl, but thats what a stock sbc 307 hits

  • inline6?

  • nah, 350 v8

  • ended up reading the description like 2 seconds after i posted the comment and punching myself in the face. lol

  • need to tighten your belt there chief hah

  • @suprbird your right

  • "Just sold it. My junky old El Camino " thats in his video description.

  • its sounds the same as mine and its a stock 305 as far as i know but nice elco you should get a custom exuast system and yeah get headers

  • was that a 2 barrell carb

  • same engine i have........get headers

  • Why do you have a lawn mower air cleaner on it!?

  • i love the rap. thats like dual 1.5 inch exhaust

  • sounds like Christine hahaha,

  • dam wonder what my runner sounds like at 7grand

  • shouldnt have put cowl hood

  • yea it looks dumb, it was there when i bought the car though, and it was riveted in

  • That is not a junky El Camino. Looks decent
