I dont understand how anybody could vote for Cameron, the guy is clearly a fucking imbecilic toff with no grip on reality, he defines himself not by his own policies but by his opposition to Labour.
He is a clueless, chinless etonian, he wants only power and couldnt care less about this countries fate.
Tories will always be Eurosceptic, tories will always be "tough on immigration", tories are predictable and there membership has always been grey haired and racist.
We need a Tory government back to sort the men from the boys and poofs. Remember how the economy was so good back in the 1980's and 1990's under Thatcher and Major? Remember the excellent Poll Tax? Entry into the ERM? It is that kind of sound decision making that we need in the UK.
Your quote comes from a New Statesmen hack called James Macintyre, who failed to provide a source when challenged. He made it up. And you swallowed his semen.
The Tories are no longer right wing. Cameron is a social democrat, like Brown and Clegg. If only the Tories were right wing. They'd slash taxes and the size of the state. They'd give us back our liberty and freedom. Right wingers believe in individualism and economic freedom. In these times, it is a good thing.
I support tory party because we can see what labour has done in 10 years! AND I AM NOT RACIST!!! I hae in fact, lived in India for 2 years. My grandfather and great-grandfather, both British officers in India late became supporters of Mahatma Gandhi!
Your use of punctuation alone reveals your lack of education. Multiple excalamation points, floating hyphons, multiple stops, and all that in a couple of sentences your level of education is very low indeed, not to mention the fact that you think birthright is still a valid mechanism in the 21st century.
Candidly, I don't care what you think of me because it won't really change who I am.
But if you want to talk about monarchy then I have no problem at all. There is a reason why majority of the nation supports the monarchy. I would disagree if you were saying the monarchy is not democratic institution. I have been searching on British Royalty and Politics for many years now. The Queen of U.K is more democratic than a President of U.K ever could be because she represents all British people.....
...Frequent selections of presidents would interrupt the continuity essential for an effective head of our country. Elected presidents will always be partials whereas a Monarch will not be. The Queen and her heirs have been trained from birth for one vocation - that of discharging the duties of sovereign of U.K. An elected president would owe his selection to a political faction, and this would publicly divide him from many of his countrymen and would..............
...make his claim to represent "the people" less convincing. Any event, most republics that have abolished their monarchies, have created simulated constitutional monarchies. These republics have abolished their royal government; yet have given their new republican governments the exact powers of the previous royal government. This begs the question of why change something to something exactly the same?............
look dickface, I aint reading all you bullshit, you went on way too long. Ive got nutters on my local bus if I want to listen to nutcase mental talk.
...The residual powers of the Queen make the monarchy more democratic. The Queen for example, has the power to dismiss a prime minister who is doing something illegal or is tampering with the democratic machinery in Canada. Upon the dismissal, the Queen can call a quick election to promote democracy.
... Let me remind you, my dear friend, India, Pakistan, I don't think I have to tell you all other un-democratic republics! India is called the world's largest democracy, is that country really democratic? My grandfather was the officer in British-India and stayed there even after the independence in 1947. I have studied Indian politics; so, let me tell you, starting from Nehru, then Indira Gandhi then Rajiv Gandhi then Sonia Gandhi now, Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi! IS THAT DEMOCRACY?...........
...Then we move to Pakistan, Bhutto family! Then USA, Bush family! I've just heard that Bush's brother is coming to politics now! In coming years, who know, probably Obama's daughters will enter the politics! Not to mention, American Royal Family - The Kennedys!
I just want to ask you again - First, I would like to know will the president appointed or elected? If appointed, what's the difference and if elected, why to waste millions of pounds for something that is working remarkably well?..
...AND DO YOU REALLY THINK THAY BRITAIN WOULD BE REPUBLIC?
Monarchy is essential to the political system of U.K. No Prime Minister, in his right mind, would ever create any republican bill because Royal Prerogative is carried out by PM and the Queen has enormous amount of influence on her ministers! I think personally that people are in Britain not only politically attached to the Monarchy but all emotionally. our current parliament,.............
...hundreds and hundreds of MPs are monarchists only 24 republican! How do you get rid of the monarch? Its not easy, last time they had to execute the monarch. Well, thats inconvincible now. Just think of the bill in the Commons to abolish the Monarchy and set-up the republic of U.K. There would be no room for any other legislation! It would dominate the issue for about a year or two, at least! Everyone will be divided. According to the current polls, 78% of the public supports the monarchy...
...If people are fine with the system we have today and don't mind it at all then it's the PEOPLE'S WISH!
Again, think about republican dynasties! Think about the process of becoming republic and think about the people's emotional attachment to the monarchy and think about the Queen's powers as a constitutional monarch! Again, I would like to know will the president appointed or elected?....
First of all, they are facts, not my opinions (with the exception of last 2 comments). Consequently, you cannot say, "boring right wing drivel." By the way, how am I a conservative, if I had voted for Blair in 1997? Again, I don't jump to the conclusions. As I have said before, I vote for those who I think will do good job for 5 years, I am not loyal to labour or conservative or any other party, for that matter. I am loyal to the Queen, an IMPARTIAL figurehead.
when the tories get in ,say goodbye to healthcare, for the majority anyway. does nobody know that cameron was a spin doctor before he became party leader.this man is sleazy as fcuk.were all in global siht.and we will always blame the people in charge..the tories promise us better things, but have no fuikcng policies...i grew up with a tory goverment and it was fcnkiug siht...youth training scheme, selling off bt..etc,dont forget stopping free milk for primary schools,i fcuikng hated her for that
Come on, Maggie wasnt all that bad. Did she destroy the coal and steel industries? How about the car industry? Surely you must have liked the Poll Tax? The miners strike was a great victory for common sense and decency....and after all, there is no such thing as society is there?
the tories are still as clueless and out of touch as ever and generally completely lacking policy, id give the liberal democrats a chance but they seem to just be a middle ground between them and new labour. im going to move to london, scotland or wales to vote for plaid cymru, respect or snp - obviosuly not, ill probably just end up voting labour depressingly(esp as itll be my first vote (18))

David Cameron, how now that Obama has been elected does the 'conservative' party with its small town Tory Eton educated elected elite seem something from a Dickensian past.
could you tell me what values brown represents because there is very little of value left in great britain after 11 years of labour, they also had the lowest vote ever,i would not call that a majority of the population. the british people did not vote brown into office. You cannot avoid addmitting the need for more transparency from labour but we have no chance of that.adequate controls, like the 3500new laws labour have passed against us.
The branding of regulatory controls as socialist is implicit in its philosophy. Brown failed to ensure that regulation and transparency were adequate because of his perception that ,in order to remain in office, he had to tolerate capitalist greed. A factor in the global crisis is a similar
failure by the Democrats in the U.S.A. to stand up against corporate greed and corruption. The world wide impact is simply
Not only is it a global problem it is one which should be seen for what it really is-
unfettered free enterprise and corporate greed
finally exposed and with it evidence that wealth creation (Thatcher and Blair style) linked to allowing people to borrow more than they can afford to repay is bound to lead to a
day of reckoning. The capitalist system cannot
function effectively without brainwashing us
into buying what we cannot afford. Marx must be laughing in his grave.
You see when the frowner(brown) and bare blair were in power they should of devoted more funds towards future infastructure development over a period of years, as well as more economic regulation, but no they just opened the door to the bank and turn around and hoped it would turn into a hospital or a pack of happy children, but no it dissapered. They are not the only nutter pair the Rudd Government just spent the hard saved surplus ONE DAY IN!!! WTF, it is not that bad!
We used to have public executions for centuries, but I doubt Cameron would bring it back surely for that reason. I am a conservative supporter, but fox hunting is despicable to me.
Camerons party rubs shoulders with the people we have to blame for the crisis, it's laughable to think he would do anything to improve buisness practices when it's his party faithfuls he would be taking money off.
Aren't you forgetting TONY BLAIR, it was him and Gordon Brown who got us into this mess, by excessive borrowing, and not shoring up the coffers when times were good. Plowing billions into Health and Education with no visible improvement in service and standards.
BLAME BLIAR AND FROWN! - they have a lot of friends in the city as well
They can't be blamed for this, come on mate its a global problem not one exclusive and stemming from the UK. NO politican has doneanything about it, and it was the Thatcher who set the foundations for the current problem.
Brown is to blame for this mess,Thatcher was 20 yrs ago Brown took away power of the Bank of Englnd to contrl debt, he encouraged the debt-fuelled boom so he could milk it for tax to fund his evil Maoist socialist revolution, wasting billions on communist bullshit, like mass uncontrolled immigration, Scottish parliament building, futile computer projects, tax credits for the bone idle and his project to destroy British and English culture. Now he's up to his neck in his own shit I hope he drowns
The wider problem is the shortcomings of the free market which is why this is an international problem. When you want to lay the blame on Brown, you lack perspective. However please don't mistake me for a Brown supporter, I can't stand the guy, but this financial problem is not his fault.
Point taken, but how do you explain the fact that just about evry country is having the same problem. The problem is that the free market is too free and not regulated enough. Prior to this problem if any had tried to put controls in place they would have been branded a socialist and would have become wildly unpopular. This problem has been cause by very rich people wanting to be richer and having to much power to be stopped, even by the President of the USA
PM/gov ultimately responsible for everything, that's what they're there for. If borrowing was out of control, they should have done something. But booming houses suited Brown, think of the bns in stamp duty, he's a greedy socialist who spnt as mny bns as he could on his Maoist cultural revolution. NuLabr decade has been about personal irresponsiblity and gov irrsponsilbility. UK is in a worse position than many other countries, hence the pound has totally collapsed against the dollar & the euro.
brown has taken billions upon billions in exstra taxs off us to hide his mistakes, along with blair and labour over the last 11 years. He hides behind the international problems every time he is corned its always some one elses falt.truth is we are in the worst position out of all the industialised nations because we have all most no industry left.only a fool sells off our gold reserves when it is at its lowest value in years.
hi dave, just thought id chip in on behalf of 'ben'. youre absolutly right about the state's money needing to be backed by industry. i hope tahst not why youd vote tory though seeign as it was margeret thatcher who crushed these industries and replaced it with 'the city' and a banking industry (good move. oh wait that downturn thats happened. not so good)
When you say "mess", are you under the impression that it is only happening in UK? You need to turn on the news sometime - it is happening worldwide! Worldwide greed is what has caused it and may continue it, despite the work Mr Brown has put into bailing out the banks.
Brown has been utterly irresponsible with the public finances, the gov was massively in debt even BEFORE the crisis - so that means the UK is in a worse position than many other countries - why don't YOU open your eyes -look at the values of the pound against the dollar and the euro - the world thinks the UK ecomony is in a worse position than most other nations - and that is down to Brown's irresponsiblity, the usual Labour vadalism to the economy
brown bailed out northan rock kept the crap, sold off the best bits to a spanish bank now they want to sack 2000 british workers.the british people put in the hard work not brown,he just invented more ways to tax us then gave it back to the banks.I wonder? when he gets kicked out of office if the banks will find him a nice job like blair got.
so who is to blame for the 2000 workers being made redundant? Brown or the bank management? Banks are truly horrendous institutions but unfortunately they are needed in this modern day. If Brown got voted out of ofice do you really think pie face would do a better job (bearing in mind that wanking bankers are mostly tories)? Personally I would have liked to see Vince Cable running the show as PM but then that's just my little dream.
Brown inherited one of the strongest economys in the world as well as 50 billion pounds. He has been runing up billions in goverment depts for many years well hidden till now.Blair, brown, and labour have shown nothing but contempt for the british people over the past 11years.They have trashed our country almost beond recognition we need a change.I also like vince cable im sure alot of people would like to see him runing the show.
We are involved in Afgahnistan because if the Talliban take over the country, it will revert to becoming a safe haven for terrorist organistaions such as Al-Queda, - allowing them to train and plot to KILL your mother father brother sister etc.
In addition, Afgahnistan produces poppy seeds in a large quantity, and becomes Heroine. If our military don't get involved Britain will be flooded with these drugs.
I agree, we should deal the Muslim fascists in the UK first, bring the army home to kick out the illegal immigrants and terrorists that Brown is funding with taxpayer's cash.
Good on debt, bad on growth. So, we'll have an excellent credit rating but won't have the growth to sustain our economy. Welcome to balance sheet Britain!

SimplyBen84 3 years ago
the fact that the UK is in such a weak position in dealing with the crisis IS his fault - who do you think was chancellor from 1997-2007 ?
Comrade Brown
worcesterwombat 3 years ago

Hi ben
brown has taken billions upon billions in exstra taxs off us to hide his mistakes, along with blair and labour over the last 11 years.

MollyMate1 3 years ago
Brown has been utterly irresponsible with the public finances, the gov was massively in debt even BEFORE the crisis - so that means the UK is in a worse position than many other countries - why don't YOU open your eyes -look at the values of the pound against the dollar and the euro - the world thinks the UK ecomony is in a worse position than most other nations - and that is down to Brown's irresponsiblity, the usual Labour vadalism to the economy

Hi molly
brown bailed out northan rock kept the crap, sold off the best bits to a spanish bank now they want to sack 2000 british workers.the british people put in the hard work not brown,he just invented more ways to tax us then gave it back to the banks.I wonder? when he gets kicked out of office if the banks will find him a nice job like blair got.
thedavewalkershow 3 years ago
hi thedavewalkershow
so who is to blame for the 2000 workers being made redundant? Brown or the bank management? Banks are truly horrendous institutions but unfortunately they are needed in this modern day. If Brown got voted out of ofice do you really think pie face would do a better job (bearing in mind that wanking bankers are mostly tories)? Personally I would have liked to see Vince Cable running the show as PM but then that's just my little dream.

Hi molly
Brown inherited one of the strongest economys in the world as well as 50 billion pounds. He has been runing up billions in goverment depts for many years well hidden till now.Blair, brown, and labour have shown nothing but contempt for the british people over the past 11years.They have trashed our country almost beond recognition we need a change.I also like vince cable im sure alot of people would like to see him runing the show.
regards dave.

Afghastan is already lost. Give up and go home with your war machine.
take your war machine/killing machine back to britian !!
oceanbound222 3 years ago
We are involved in Afgahnistan because if the Talliban take over the country, it will revert to becoming a safe haven for terrorist organistaions such as Al-Queda, - allowing them to train and plot to KILL your mother father brother sister etc.
In addition, Afgahnistan produces poppy seeds in a large quantity, and becomes Heroine. If our military don't get involved Britain will be flooded with these drugs.
mrshellshock 3 years ago 3
so we should invade and kill simply because we have a drug problem in the West ???
Isn't that the west's problem ?
oceanbound222 3 years ago
I agree, we should deal the Muslim fascists in the UK first, bring the army home to kick out the illegal immigrants and terrorists that Brown is funding with taxpayer's cash.
