  • I found one of these in an abandoned garage the other day and I'm considering taking it. Google search doesn't seem to find any results on this, any chance you could give me a figure to how much these are worth?

  • @Yuuikihikari - Unfortunately not very much. The only organs that seems to have a certain value are Hammonds in general and combos from the 1960's. One-man-band organs with build-in drum machines and orchestral voices like this Hohner have only a limited value. And if they are broken they are practically worthless. I paid the equivalent of 50$ for the Hohner and 100$ for my top-of-the-line Technics. So that is pretty much the level.

  • awsome

  • Great Job!

  • Sounds absolutely lovely m8y i wish i had them sounds on my Yamaha FS20

  • Fun video!

I have a vague recollection (from my days when I sold them) that the later Hohner organs and keyboards were simply re-badged models by another manufacturer, but I cannot recall which one.

  • I just did a search for "Hohner keyboard" and the very first link said that the Hohner KS-49 was a rebadged CASIO HT-700 and it seems that other Hohners were also CASIOs.

  • I now know for sure: I just bought a broken Hohner PSK22 and even though the voices have other names and the layout is different there is no doubt; it is CASIO samples.

  • Yes, that makes sense.

  • @organfairy

Certainly were Casios.Hohner gave up making their own keyboards after the (in my opinion) awful PSK 260,this machine was styled the same as the PK250 but with a totally different tone generation system called Macro Sampling which was not a patch on the earlier models.

The last proper Hohner organs were the D200,D180,D160,D120 and D100 series plus the GP180,GP98 and GP93M.Happy memories of a great range of instruments.Anyone know where I can get a working PK250 ? lol

  • the songs are "just a little bit of luck" and "i could have danced all night" this is fun i enjoyed this...i might just have watch again.

  • The Hohner organs were fantastic with their accompaniment section.Way ahead of its time.Where did you manage to find this gem of a machine ?

  • It's not a GEM. GEM is an Italian brand and Hohner is German :-) Seriously I found it on a second hand page and I liked it because it was relatively small and had build-in amplifiers so I only need to bring the stand, pedals, and some speakers if I'm going out to play.

  • Well that blew the cobwebs away - what a cracking organ!
