  • I agree. I love blue jays. We had a really pretty one on the ramp the other day, but I didn't have a camera handy. I love cardinals and crows, too. Thanks, Dave!

  • Forgive me Dave.... I'm so far behind in watching videos!! Oh I agree the Jays are just beautiful! That Junco was so fat and pretty! A stock market update in the background was surreal. haha. Hugs!

  • I agree about the Blue Jays.. ;)

Oh the Junco is pretty bird.

  • So relaxing watching the birds, how do you get any work done?

  • Hey Dave I love all the bird captures! Now, next time you have to put on a happier background TV channel. LOL Hope you have a great Monday! -Jim

  • Will you be getting a water fountain warmer for the winter for the birds?

  • I think I will be moving the whole set up close enough to the house that I can do refills from the window. Now its on the farthest point on the house from any door and when there is a few feet of snow on the ground its a pain. I'm not sure about a warmer. I have to look into what they do to the electric bill. There's a stream out back that has yet to freeze over so water is always available to them.

  • 1:15 Twitter.

    lol

My God that Bluejay is spectacular!!! I love your little baby northern cardinal. OH!!! I have seen an American Crow. Their iridescent feathers are awesome. Wow, you have a nice variety of birds in your yard, so lucky!!

  • I know! I was waiting to see who mentioned it. I was going to put text in Twitter just when it happened. hehehe

I think the markings on the Blue Jays are really nice. They are a little like Jock birds. Very agile and aren't afraid of anything.

Wasn't that the most moth eaten cardinal you ever saw? He's in the middle of molting and looks a hot mess. I have to show you some nuthatches and chickadees.

  • Ohhh I love the Blue Jay! I wish we had those and Cardinals here! I still get house finches, house sparrows and some gold finches at my feeder. The occasinoal dove and quail stop by and a Magpie or two. I really don't like magpies and crows though.

    Very nice video!

  • I just think the Blue Jays have the marking thing down. Nobody comes close. I kinda like the crows. They're not enough of them to be a nuisance and they strut around the yard in little gangs looking all tough. But they are the biggest scaredy cats They'll all take off if a leaf falls wrong.

  • Around here the crows, magpies and seagulls are very plentiful and they eat dead animals and garbage and they are kinda disgusting. The magpies are like the bullies of the group and they pick on and attack the smaller birds sometimes. My feeder is empty and I just don't feel good enough to go out in the cold and fill it. Poor birdies!

  • I love Blue Jay's they are so pretty.

  • You have them too. I remember from a couple of the videos you put out this summer. Loud buggers when they want to be.

  • The Corvus brachyrhynchos is my favorite. I kept waiting for him to hop onto a jungle gym.

  • Ok, I had to look that up. I like the crows too. Very entertaining when they get in groups.

  • very nice! LOL @ the blue Jay and his cocked head, looked like a curious dog gave him lessons on how to do that...lol Thanks for showing us!!

  • some times just out side the window is a wonderful picture

    SPRINKLES

  • They do some crazy things sometimes. Really great to sit back, relax and watch.

  • Very cute birds!!

I don't think the economy will stay down for too much longer, but I'm optimistic about those types of things ;~)

  • I read this and I'm like what is she talking about but then I remembered HLN was on in the background. I'm optimistic too. :-)

  • Oooo..I love the little boids! ;-)

  • I wonder how many boids der iz. ;-)

  • Blue jays are among my favourite birds. They hang around all winter here and are a welcome splash of colour in all the whiteness.

    Very relaxing......

  • Yes they do. I think they are so common around here that people take them for granted. They really are beautiful.

  • nice!

  • Thank you. :-)

  • Somehow the news isn't so important watching nature.

  • Never. See how much I paid attention? hehehe
