Love it. The brighter colours of emulators can sometimes make it harder for my eyes to adjust to the game I'm playing and leave me with eye strain and headaches.
Yep :) And that value is accurate. With full display brightness it's about 9 hours, with just a bit less it goes up to 12 hours (and that's bright enough for me to use it in normal daylit rooms)
What type of LCD you are using? It's TN, IPS, PVA? :D

I can perceive the color difference.
In simple words: The TV Gamma colorset is not as vivid.
As @Tripmonkeyuk says, this feature can help your eyes!

Well, had to be back at work 4 hours later... so - not much sleep :)
However, these are all things I want to have in the first release OS. I can get some more sleep after we had the first release :)
