I have been the most fortunate person to have experienced many similar scenes in this movie. Fortunate.. because most people do not get the oppurtunity to experience such profound existance on our planet. This film allows those people to actually share the awesome fact of our existance ...not random.. but beyond human's logic.. but within the human experience if you watch this movie.
I hope I'll be lucky enough in my life to experience these beautiful and people places face to face. Seeing this movie makes you feel how small you are in the world, yet how closely we are all connected.

I don't think he is so young these days. He worked on Koyannesquatsi in the late '70s - early '80s. The Kuwaiti oil fires were in '91, which is around the time Baraka was released. So this featurette is probably about 16 years old.
