Best RE games are 1-3 but it is not fair again, since those are actually not in the samge genre as I see it. They are just different.

I enjoyed RE4. I have the original for the Gamecube. Though the villagers are not the T-virus zombies, it is still fun to play since it's quite a challenge at some spots, it's prolly one of the best games in the series.

See the game didnt 'fail' as such from number 4, but you can certainly see the transition forming.

I honestly think that the whole 2 player thing was a mistake, maybe it would work as a bonus story you could unlock some sort of two player thing.

Nothing in 5 said, 'Hey turn this corner and you sooooo could die!'

It's not a BAD game it's just a terrible Resident evil game.

To be fair to 4 tho', it was a good addition to the series, however it was still a bit too 'easy'.

I played RE5 on Expert. (1 hit and you must be revieved. Half a second to be revieved.)

The game was really easy on expert. The only time i struggled was when battling El Gigante. It was so fucking hard i nearly threw my controller out the window :P

4 in my opinion is still true to the original REs because of it's atmosphere. The music and mood fit just right despite it being an action/survival horror. RE5 kinda threw away the atmosphere in turn making it feel like a action/mission based adventure. Though they both lack backtracking exploration for the awesome level layouts, there still good. If RE5 kept the atmosphere as with 4, it would have been loved just as much. I don't mind the co-op, but it's the atmosphere that sets it apart.

It was exactly the same as 4 as well thats another reason why it was not as good, They bastardized Resident Evil, yes I will admit that 4 and 5 are not true Resident Evil games but they had been doing the same formula of static camera angles and generic aiming for 9 years before they changed it with 4 I think it was a brave move for them to choose to change the formula and do that but after that they should have gone back to formula with 5

Its not that Resident Evil 5 is a bad game, its just with all its graphics, story n action if failed to match 4 as Capcom tried to cash in on 4's success with 5, 4 had no connection to the other Resi games at all, apart from Leon n Ada n Wesker but I liked because it was new n totally different to the other games, with 5 they tried to bring the whole Resident Evil franchise to a close but Capcom forgot THAT they had changed the series, and as many are saying they are not true Resident Evil games
