@la8nght Bipod has got me killed more times than it's been useful. It rarely deploys predictably, often deploying when you don't want it to and getting you killed. I don't like the bipod in its current form. I would prefer a manual, predictable deployment

DSN, on the 3rd set of M-COMS on this map, that out of bounds area you were at and turned back is actually a good part to surprise the enemy with and even plant the M-COM. If you run through it and towards the M-COM, you can make it back in bounds no problem.

For beginners, best thing to remember is that your weapon is not an assault rifle, use it at a distance, almost like a short range sniper rifle, but don't be afraid to go in a time or two, and remember, support is your job not just your name, hang back, not far back like a sniper, but behind cover, throw down ammo, hold choke points, and move up a little slower then the rest of your team, your the wall of fire for them to fall back behind. m240b bipod for defense. m249 fore grip for offense.

@codypanek you can't knife him with the animation kill, you can swipe at him though but they tend to get up, turn round and shoot you after the first swipe. I think it's because the game classes him as "in a vehicle" when using the mortar.

One thing I hate about mortaring is that minimap & navigating with that right control stick over it. Enemies get spotted & disappear & the damn crosshairs don't move right over the map; it seems they get stuck. Looks like it worked well for you. I have a new controller too. Is it me? Do you encounter that? I know I need to use the left stick along w/the right one but still have the "sticking" issue.

@jzofop It only "sticks" for you because you need to face the place you want to mortar. The mortar has a turn radius and a maximum range.

You can take the left flank at the 3rd m-com. Just sprint through the out of bounds part. Takes ~ 7-8 seconds.

the biggest game breaking piss off for me in bad company 2 is when 2 guys die at the same time! and when battlefield 3 launched, that problem was non existant! until the last patch that destroyed my favorite scope, IRNV.

now, atleast 80% of my deaths happen when the guy im shooting at dies, but still kills me. it annoys me to no end because theres always a conveient medic right by me, but they dont make the effort to revive me

Not sure if it still works, but you can flick between mortars and smokes quickly so there's a constant barrage, rather than waiting for each reload.
