I don't think that this is a very sexy character -- it's a desperate character living in her own delusions. And I think this is a very skilled performance that catches it perfectly. I like the Renee film version too, but I think it's great to see a different interpretation - what's wrong with you guys? Each actor brings something of their own to any role. This is a valid and well-performed version. Roxie as a verging on middle-aged disillusioned housewife who suddnly sees those dreams as possible is actually quite poignant. A good and energetic performance done with conviction.
