lol MAAAAN! I know Ed Reed is like one of the top DBs in the league, but every once in awhile he gets OWNED haha, Andre Johnson usually takes his lunch, and Walter did pretty much the same here
@McCarthy617 what does Walter have to do with Welker? Walter is an outside receiver that is tall and physical, Welker is a shorter slot receiver that is very quick and elusive. Walter would be better if they didn't force so many passes to Johnson. in 2008 when Walter was healthy, Johnson was targeted 70 more times than him, yet Walter was averaging 15 yards per catch compared to Johnson's 13.7, both had 8 touchdowns. Patriots had balance, both Welker and Moss were targeted 100+ times
i can tell whoever made dumbqss comments dont watch the texans...idk if he is slow or not..but i do know he gets open...you say schuab forces the ball to johnson??? smh thts crazy...4 other recievers on the team had 400+ yards last season...
@GetOnYoAssHOU umm, Walter was finaly targeted 11 times the other game, and he had 11 catches for 144 yards. Andre Johnson has been targeted 29 times this season so far, and has 19 catches, Walter targeted 17 times catching 16. I know Johnson is a star, but there has to be a balance, espescially when he is double covered. Walter is only averaging 0.5 yards less than Johnson and has 2 more tds
you mean like at 4:25 where burns the entire Ravens secondary and makes Ed Reed look like hes running in mud? yeah thats seriously slow. Dude ran a 4.4 40 out of college, and knows how to get seperation.
well he had 900 yards and 8 tds last season when I made this video but for some reason they decided to reduce his role this season after he was injured the first two games and wonder why they are not in the playoffs. Andre Johnson is great but they force the ball to him too much which sometimes gets intercepted or batted down. Walter still had over 50 catches and 600 yards
I'm glad somebody is actually recognizing good things about the texans, instead of scoffin' at'em, then have egg on their fce and a turd in their pants when the texans beat their teams
Kevin walter is my faveriote reciver out there now, when he came 2 buffalo this sessonn ( i live near buffalo) i went to the game and i got his and david andersons autograph =D
tell him hes great and needs to demand that the ball be thrown his way more. Andre Johnson is great but too many times Schaub will try to force it to him when he is double covered which sometimes winds up incomplete or intercepted while Walter will be open, he would have had over 1,000 last year if Schaub would have not forced so many passes
haha i wud tell him but i live in nj , im not blood related to him my cuz married him . il tell him next time i see him lol. btw he just had a baby girl.
I think he still l has a lingering injury. Im sure he will be 100 percent soon though. He has not been getting many passes his way with Andre Johnson and Owen Daniels getting most of the targets. Now that Daniels is out for the year Walter should see plenty more passes thrown his way.
he's 6'3 and runs a 4.4 which is pretty good for his size, Marques Colston is the same around the same size and runs a 4.55. Nobody runs a 4.1, maybe 2 or 3 people in the NFL have run a 4.2 (hand timed) and there are not many as you think that run 4.3's. The average time is 4.5 for wide receivers
dude it was a figure of speech. but are you crazy to say there are not many guys that run 4.3's? i can name plenty devery henderson, greg jennings, andre johnson, l. coles, desean jackson (this guy outruns zones) jeremy maclin, eddie royal, louis murphy, darrius heyward-bey need i name more? the game is faster than you think son. you got d-lineman running 4.3s like freeney
freeney ran a 4.48, jennings a 4.53, maclin a 4.4, only one of those guys you listed is a great wr imo and its johnson who ran a 4.38 which is closer to the 4.4 range. So I stand by my statement that not many receivers run a 4.3, there are 32 teams, two starting receivers, well alot of 3 receivers sets being run now, thats 64 to 96 wide receivers, id say 20 at the most run a 4.3, and most of those guys are mediocre. Henderson is boom or bust, Heyward-bey hasnt shown anything as well as Murphy
the question wasn't who's good or who's not the question was who runs 4.3s. louis murphy doesn't have nobody to get him the ball first of all. heyward-bey i believe is garbarge i will give you that. henderson is a stud. greg jennings did not run a 4.53 maclin did not run a 4.4. laverneus coles runs a 4.1 you didn't say anything about him or desean jackson or royal. also anyone who knows football knows that 40 times don't really mean anything because game speed is different
Henderson is not a stud, hes inconsistent, never has had 1,000 yards in his career, drops plenty of easy catches. Coles has had 3 1,000 yard seasons out of 11 years in the league. He had a an UNOFFICIAL 4.2, plenty of players have run an unofficial 4.2 only for it to be off by a tenth and wind up being a 4.3. "the following 40-yard dash times from todays wide receiver Combine workouts in Indianapolis: Jeremy Maclin Wide Receiver Missouri 4.4" Jennings bio 4.53 in the 40-yard dash...
royal and jackson are good players that have shown promise to be great in the future, but arent at that point yet, they were great for rookies and now for 2nd year starters, but not on an elite level yet. I know 40 yard times dont mean anything, but you are coming in here and degrading Kevin Walter like he is slow or something "he doesnt run fast but he is good" At 4.4 hes faster than plenty of wide receivers in the league.
and it is about who is good, because you are claiming everyone runs a 4.1's to 4.3s when in reality they dont. Smart coaches go after other things rather than speed, Greg Jennings (4.53) proves that, Brandon Marshall (4.5) Marques Colston (4.55) Reggie Wayne (4.4) Steve Smith (4.45) Hines Ward (4.58) Larry Fitzgerald (4.63) Ochocinco (4.4) Roddy White (4.45), Wes Welker (4.55) The only great receivers that run 4.3 are Randy Moss, and Andre Johnson, so my point is, very few guys run a 4.3
dude i think your missing my point. it was a figure of speech when i said he's not 6'4 or runs a 4.3. The guy is a GOOD PLAYER!! O.k. is this better I put him in the same category as like a Ed McCaffrey. Henderson is a stud how can you not see that? he hasn't had 1,000 yards because that offense really isn't designed for 1 receiver to just have crazy receiving numbers and brees spreads the ball around. What about Desaen Jackson you must respect him? you haven't said a peep about him he
outruns zones that's superfast. I mean they do talk about Walter he's been a little banged up this year. I mean what are you saying they give Johnson and Slaton all the credit. I mean Johnson certainly deserves a lot. Johnson is a beast/stud/great/gifted all in one. I mean some people are natural and do some things u can't teach which johnson does. he's one those guys who prolly doesn't have 2 work out and throw up some crazy weight or not run or anything for a year and still run run a 4.4
sure hes had his up and down seasons but hes a slot receiver!!!!!!!! no shit he wont catch for 1,000 we have ppl like colston, reggie, and lance moore to get alot of the huge yds and look up deverys targets and catches u will be impressed this yr.
I watch the Saints every single week. Devery is a role player and that is about it, he has a good year but it isn't that impresive and he dissappears in games. Lance Moore hasn't even been playing the past few games and he is the real slot receiver. But your right, hes been outplayed by a UDFA and a 7th round draft pick. Devery is good at making defenses respect the deep pass, but so was donte stallworth. Love the saints but they have role players because they dont have 2 dominant wide receivers
Colston was dominant early in his career but production has dropped off a bit due to his injury last year, but he is starting to come back. All of the receivers are above average but you can't really say one is elite, except maybe Colston. Reggie Bush really isn't doing that much and has 200 yards receiving. Robert Meachem who many declared a bust is slowly taking over Devery's role, he is avg 20 yards per catch and has 6 tds compared to devery's 1. Brees makes the receivers look better.
outr best kept secret, when the knucklehead "D" tries to double #80 guess what 83 is there to pick up the slack and does a awesome job. I was stoked when i saw that pick up a few yrs ago,
