I can't say that I agree with this video what so ever. What is not being recognized is that not only do many Christians get tortured, but hundreds upon thousands of Christians and other faith groups are killed because they claim faith in a certain religion. As far as Christianity goes, I believe the inverse, in that God does not support pain, suffering, injustice, or hatred. I believe wholeheartedly that these things are frowned upon in the Christian faith.
On balance, I believe, the social benefits of Christianity have far outweighed the negative societal consequences of this spirituality. Likewise for Buddhism and many other eastern spiritualities. The interesting questions about religion are almost never asked in the debate about it; the main one being why do humans have such an inate need to believe?

I recently attended a "Sun-worship" session! we, were all naked and yes, I gave a nice lady my "Life giving liquid" it was so wonderful! What is not being recognized is that not only do many Christians get tortured, but hundreds upon thousands of Christians and other faith groups are killed because they claim faith in a certain religion. On balance, I believe, the social benefits of Christianity have far outweighed the negative societal consequences of this spirituality. Likewise for Buddhism and many other eastern spiritualities. I am not sure that the same can be said for Islam. There are elements of Christianity I believe in and many I do not. Same for Buddhism. The interesting questions about religion are almost never asked in the debate about it; the main one being why do humans have such an inate need to believe?

@ilyLaura1 I'll admit, my knowledge on old pieces of dusty dotrine, is limited but there is a passage in the Bible that says that "GOD is love" and the implication of god not being all loving would be the mass genocides that were committed in his name. Such as the destruction of Sodom, INQUISITION, the subjugation of women, child abuse(God told Abraham to kill Isaac even Abraham didn't actually do it he still instilled a boy with a mass amount of trauma. Yes I do know how to debate thanks. :)

One reason people get 'em confused is that Jesus said that he came not to nullify the old testament, but fulfill it. And also that the mosaic Laws will hold true until the end of time. So the Old Testament is still in full force and the New Testament is a collection of amendments and additions, not replacements, for it.

I recently attended a "Sun-worship" session! we, were all naked and yes, I gave a nice lady my "Life giving liquid" it was so wonderful! I thought it was `strange` to worship a "Ball of thermonuclear fusion",however, at least this "God" exists & we can see it; this ` deity` also allows life to exist on this planet. So why not? This kind of worship may seem `odd`, however, is it not even more `odd` to worship a `being` that we`re not sure exists? Perhaps i`m insane, who cares! Life is good!

Proof? If all cultures in the world have depicted auras, God (later on becoming gods as other cultures who depicted god in a different manner gained contact with eachother) and shamanism could heal humanity at least untill bureaucratic religions came along there is plenty of evidence, even if we use scietific method to prove it, as 100% of 100% of cultures had a system of spiritual beliefs.
