Why do conservative Christian groups like AFA get so obsessed about about gays?

I love how they use bible quotes condemning homosexuals, but fail to mention the part of the bible that references the golden rule and reserving man's judgement only for God/Jesus.

People with the AFA mentality have been at least partially responsible for such lovely events like the Crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, the creation of Israel in 1948, and continous violence in the middle east.

Perhaps you would but most Americans wouldn't because they don't believe in the cause, and many would probably do more than just boycott, they would commit violent acts. Look at the attack on the WBC this past weekend. See, we Christians boycott what we believe is wrong just like you homosexuals and others do. So McDonald's contributes to the Red Cross, so do many christian organizations.

While a lesbian like myself can donate blood, a gay man cannot due to our country's lingering ignorance about HIV and AIDS. Although all the blood is tested before being used for medicinal purposes, gay men are legally banned from donating blood. This is a hypocracy of our judicial system that gets little attention.

MySpace copied Facebook with having the applications. The applications can be pretty good... and only ppl who are your friends can send you applications and you don't have to accept them if u don't want them. I think FB is more fun bcos myspace is just putting pictures, writing comments and having fancy backgrounds and music. but with FB u can do more.

haha yeah, that's why i like facebook bcos there's so much to do on there (i guess the downside is that you could spend TOO much time on there). There's surveys, quizzes, applications where u can discuss opinions, display books that you have read, etc.. etc.. and u can also write comments, put up photos and videos as well.

FaceBook was confusingly daunting when i first joined, but u soon get the hang of it
