Yeea maybe i shouldnt have said fuck ford lol i think i hurt peopls feelings lol hahaha
But any ways 1 in 100,000??? No way
Most Ford people that machine their heads put chevy valves, but same stem (chevy valves)
And i've even seen years 85-91 mustangs have a 350 SB chevy in them, they are fast as hell, i know this because i know a lot of people who have done it,
And that 427????? Im not so shure that really was a 427, my old 383 had a rougher sounding cam, it all has to do with the driver,
@BIRDMAN3207 Many people dont seem to understand that motors of the same kind were used in many different types of vehicles WITH DIFFERENT POWER RANGES! For instance, the motor in that Chevy (427 v8) was different than the one used in a 1969 Copo Camaro (427 V8). The Copo had more power. Also, there (Police cars) that used 427 motors in there cars and were (different) than the Motors the CHEVY CORVETTES HAD (427)! Know your history and motor specs for each car and year!!
@BIRDMAN3207 that's why the 2013 gt500 is the fastest stock v8 in the world. All ford parts. Too bad GM took government bailout money so they didn't go bankrupt. Guess people didn't think there cars were so hot. HaHa
@droidbotaz Thats a lot of cars to knock off a list that goes way back. And is that V8 small block or big block? And the bigger question, is that engine supercharge? If it is, it really has no room to talk! To my knowledge the most powerful motor or setup whatever you might want to chose, there is a difference, is a 833HP big block 7.0 V8 pure motor now superchargers, no NOS, no turbo, and it had a 13:?:1 Compression Ratio "Factory".
@BIRDMAN3207 Yea I highly doubt that. Maybe 1 in 100,000 Fords. How does it feel to be cheated by GM, with the bailout and everything?
Oh and another thing to keep in mind. Camaro ZL1 (580 hp) vs Boss Laguna Seca (444 hp). Why did Chevy have to supercharge their 6.2L? Because they are scared little bitches!
@fireplay20 People have to buy supercharge cars because they dont know how to work on there own cars! I like to build power out of PURE MOTOR! Adding a supercharger seems to lazy and boreing, its not the same as build PURE RAW POWER!
@Droidbotaz no rust on it at all we took any rust off and sprayed acid on it and leaded it in id put more videos on my site from racing the tahoe and lifted trucks and my friends pos mustang but the city i live in if the wrong person sees this i go to jail and truck crushed, webster and friendswood and citys near have strict policies and i just dont like having perfectly good trucks crushed idc about my friends early 00s mustang its a plastic pos doesnt even compare to a 6.6 engine and even my
@Hats1976 Was that Mustang supercharge? How much boost and how much did the mustang weight? Power to weight ratio!! Now ask your self, (What kind of gears did that Chevy have, there many types! MOST OLD CARS HAD TO BE "DE-TUNED" BECAUSE THEY WERE TO POWERFUL AND INSURANCE COMPANIES WOULD NOT INSURE THESE CARS! ALSO THE CAR COMPANIES HAD TO LIE ABOUT THERE REAL POWER TO PAST THEM THREW GOVERNMENT INSPECTIONS!
@Gilbert440 I can say the motor in that Chevy was a early 427 motor 1966 with some not so fast gears 323 or something, and the too small tires, and a too small Carb for that car (750 cfm)! Now try a 1969 Camaro Copo zl1 427 with a 4spd Muncie and 12 bolt posi with 410s in the rear much faster. Or race that same chevy but with simple changes like 15 in. tires and rims a bigger carb because that big motor is being starved with that little factory carb, reset the timing in the car by a few degrees!
@TheDubeo your still flapping ur gums. Like i said bring your bitch ass to az with ur pink slip and we will see what's up. And if i don't have a term I u have nothing to worry about. Maybe u want to bet a night with your wife on it too. If not shut the fuck up
@TheDubeo your still flapping your gums bitch. Like i said bring your shit talking ass to az with your ricer and pink slip and we will see what's up faggot. And if i dont have a termi u have nothing to worry about. Maybe u want to bet your wife's ass too bitch
@rsqizar oh really so your Pontiac can beat 800hp super snakes. I think your more worried about how the sound system is in your car. Why don't u post up some real racing videos instead of your dads Pontiac rust bucket
that was a small block chevy and it was even on it that hard..lol..he wasnt going to beat up his nice car to prove something to some young punks in a mustang lol.
Lot of stupid ass haters in here. That was a good kill for the GT. I bet if I clicked each haters link name they would have zero vids of themselves putting it down out there. Typical....
Both are nice cars. Both close in power. Comes down to the gearing. Mustang has more speeds on tranny to allpw for a better acceleration and top speed. Both real nice cars.
lmao not that much quicker then the chevelle which is like over 40 years old and twice as heavy. the owner prolly built the engine in his chevelle as well . ford drivers make such a big deal over a small ass win . then talk smack when a chevy kicks there as 99% or the time
@brianjdike83 that was my brothers cs. Cylinder 8 misfire. He blew the engine. He just bought a 2007 gt500 so I'm gonna post some runs together with the terminator
@droidbotaz Sweet love to see those vids... A buddy of mine has a 2011 GT500 bone stock I've raced a few times. Check out "cobrav8281" there are a few vids of us racing...
@brianjdike83 I'm gonna post some next week. I got some new video of it this weekend. There is on video that someone else posted of it. Check it out: eades vs O'Connor Turbo shootout. Mine is the red fire cobra
good job you can floor a stock automatic mustang not to mention the early start for the mustang, that guy probably resored that beast plus you could tell he let off the gas letting you all pull ahead. he let you all win
3 things, 1, your mustang isn't that fast, 2 he sand bag is, hit second let off, 3 that not the high output 427. So what i'm saying is don't get your hopes up kid. Start talking when you have a saleen or a super snake. Not a CS, Okay HP but your girl is heavy.
someone race me. I have an 01 is300. Its not too fast. but i just like the low sound of the 2jz and im in need of some fun. I don't care if I lose. Fairfield, Ohio. In the area just hit me up.
@DTPDrummer92 If I am ever out that way ill be sure to stop by. However if u come to Arizona be sure to look me up. Wont matter what you bring because I have a 2003 terminator that will shut you down
Are people surprised the Mustang won? That Chevelle's gotta have some balls to run even close to a 5.0. They weigh a metric asston. My wife's Fusion Sport is faster than most classic muscle cars (stock for stock). This Chevelle is sick, though. Two awesome cars.
@lateloop dude is right. i have a 71 Z28 w/ a big block; heads, cam, no exhaust, over 430 hp to the crank. my 2000 trans am, nearly stock, about 400 lbs heavier, smokes it easily. old muscle cars require much more work to 'go fast' than a newer car....i wouldn't be too proud if i were the mustang owner.
It's a tough pill to swallow, but let's face it, the VAST majority of old musclecars were 14-15 second rigs. yeah a few would run 13s on a good day. a new 5.0 is a solid 12 second machine right off the showroom. A stock big block Chevy is not impressive at all.
@droidbotaz You're on! But can we use gloves and play tap, though? LOL! Joking, dude. That would typical from most of the shit talkers on here, now wouldn't it? That new coyote "modular" engine is busting lots of asses, and I see a LOT of butthurt stirring, but too fucking egotistical to admit it. Oh well, as it were, there is two sides to the story, and then there is the truth. I think I see the truth and what's happening, at least.
@SOFSoldier1 You mean like the gay interior, and horrible roof line of the gaymaro? And the over 4000lbs weight (wait, this is a sports car!?!?!) And the 6.2L LS3, essentially of truck engine lineage, that manages the same old ~400BHP that they have been doing for years? Or the ZL1 with a supercharged LS3 that STILL only musters what other companies have been doing with over 1 litre less displacement, for the last 2 decades? Don't give me that stupid and ignorant monkey shit. You're clueless.
@9b8 hey bud i will agree with you but the one thing chevy engine's have that ford's dont have is cubic inches. we ford guy's would really love a 4.00" bore back in our motor's. if that were to ever happen (hopefully) shit the LS motors wouldnt even stand a chance! N/A or blown. but 400hp is 400hp no matter car or truck engine, its about weight, RPM's and how the car is built. regardless of engine size.
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI Yeah, maybe. But, I will tell you, go look at some numbers. Ford's 5.4L 3V has MORE torque than the GM 5.3L vortech, as well as damn close and in cases more torque than many of the 5.7L GM offerings. In fact, the 5.4L 3V boasts about the same torque as the 6.0L Vortech, despite .6 less displacement. I think what happens is that there is more legend than fact, sometimes. But I agree with you on comparing apples to apples and the engineering principles.
@9b8 it doesnt matter 2v 3v or 4v, the LS motors have bore size over 4.6 and 5.4, remember torque gets you going but horsepower is what keeps you going, 5.7 and 6.0s have bore size that lets in more air and the modulars have stroke with 3.552 bores very little air even the 4v heads wont touch a 6.0 N/A. this is why guys that race fords rather use the 302 or 351 big bore boss blocks. the bottom line is the LS motors would piss on our 4.6s and 5.4s and 5.0s. now the new 6.2 is a different story.
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI I understand what you are trying to say but bore and stroke isn't the whole story. The FR500C heads flow VERY well as do the GT500 heads. The new Coyote heads outflow all of those and the larger 6.2L LS3, supposedly closer to 340cfm at only 4.75" lift. With porting, its been confirmed to exceed 400cfm. The result is a smaller (by 1.2L), more potent engine outputting about the same HP and torque. Period.
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI The GM and Chrysler approach is an economically cheaper technical approach. Of course, more displacement is simply going to yield more output. but its a fallacy and lie straight from hell to then conclude that less displacement is inferior. The Japanese and Europeans, and now Ford with the 5.0L 4V Coyote platform have proven that. Folks are going to have to wake up and relearn what they thought they knew about engines; it is a moving/evolving target.
@TheDeJureTour Irconically, the story is much the same! In '69, you had the Boss stuff being developed, in LeMans you had the Ford GT spanking asses two by two, and you had the Ford DFV (double four valve) dominating F1. Nearly every race team were running those engines, in that day. Ford has had a rich history of forthcoming technology. While the other of the big 3 have had their own accomplishments, I don't think it has been nearly as diverse, from an engineering standpoint.
@9b8 But a LeMans Ford was designed for the track and racing, no?
I'm not sure its all that fair to compare big block mass production motors - made for the average American driver, to specialty race engines made for professional operators.
@TheDeJureTour Well, it is technology. And that tech did/does trickle down to the consumer market. The point was Ford's technical presence and acheivements in general. But if you want to speak in terms of production, the Boss was production. But even the regular Mustang platform was delivering the goods for the day.
@9b8 first i never said anything about the 6.2 ls i was reffering to the ford 6.2ohc. second we were talking about N/A engines and how much a ls motor can make more power N/A then a 4.6 or 5.0. the 5.0 has a 3.700 bore the ls has 3.900 no matter what the ls will make more power N/A. you can move 400cfm of air through a 4V 5.0 but this is not going to be a reliable street engine cause the powerband will be up at higher rpm's. and show me the power numbers on such an engine? LS will make more
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI There are quite a few resources out there now showing the coyote at work on the dyno and on the track. The LS3 has more torque throughout the power band, of course, but the coyote makes as much power, breathes BETTER to do it, and has a MUCH wider power band. The LS3 power band appears to be 3-6 and that is about it... rather narrrow and non-linear. I wasn't arguing that a bigger bore size wouldn't make more NA power - regardless of the vendor.
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI Well, if that LS3 was NA and nestled in a stick shift Camaro, then sounds to me like a driving or environment issue. The Camaro is a behemoth, weighing over 4000lbs. (A sports car, can you believe that monkey shit?) In nearly 100% of real-world stock for stock comparisons I've seen, both professional and amatuer alike, the Camaro has come up short all the way around. Even handling. Now, will the LS3 be more economical to mod? Sure, but pack a lunch.
@9b8 stock wise yes the 2011 mustang is faster then the 2011 camaro manual or stick, but what i was saying was that ive seen worked N/A 5.0's and 6.2's go at it not stock car's. but ive also seen both car's boosted and the coyote is a motor that take's boost real well and just pisse's on 6.2's boosted as well.
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI I thought so too at first. The seems to be some discrepancies ACTUAL weight, though. Some sources say 3750, and I've seen others quote ~4000. That could be mistaken for the Mopar, I suspect. For the Mustang GT, some sources say only 3400 for the MT while others suggest 3600. So, I should be nice and back pedal on that until it is consistent.
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI I know I seem to come across argumentative but not to offend I promise. I just am a bit passionate about this because I think Ford has the better pedigree and big picture vision. I "see the light," as it were. I've heard some (not many at all, lol) GM guys actually admit this, too. GM is struggling to keep their OHV alive and are at the bottom of their bag'o'tricks. They have procrastinated and are WAY behind the technology curve.
@9b8 yes your correct ford makes better products period, you must remember the ohc technology ford is using isnt new to us. infact ford was using 4v heads on a 255ci in indy racing back in the 60s and dominateing the F1 circuit's. i think GM is actually going to start making ohc V8 engines in 2016 with direct injection and no more pushrod's. but maybe this will be incentive for ford to bring back the 4.00" bore. who know's? time will tell.
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI Yeah, Ford's has had a rich presence in many DIFFERENT kinds of racing. GM fanboys will argue that GM has a top notch rscing pedigree, which is true if you look at it through the lens of mainstream. I don't consider NASCAR to be that spectacular of a race venue. Yeah I know GM is SUPPOSED to be designing an OHC V8 architecture (again), if the beancounters and bureaucracy mongrols dont pull the plug. But Ford will know their every move.
@9b8 yeah i know nascar isnt even shit compared to F1 indy and track racing such as Le-mans, can-am trans-am and road course racing event's. GM fanboy's are just egnorant when it come's to ford product's but yet they dont even know that ford still hold's and set's, break's record's around the world. no but seriously GM is phasing out there pushrod sometime around 2016. but they will still use there 3.900 bore's but with 11:0.1 CR and direct injection.
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI Agreed. IT will be interesting to see if GM can pull off a successful OHC architecture this time around. You likely recall their attempt with the Northstar DOHC, but it flopped. I did see some info on their alleged 5.5L high CR V8. Dubbing it the LS5 I guess? But GM is pretty tight lipped about specifics of it. Most all I've seen is speculation. But I did see a GM rep CONFIRM development of a DOHC engine.
@9b8 if you look at the northstar ohc v8 that should tell you why it failed. the engine itself wouldnt have been a failure its the design of the top end that was a failure GM just didnt fix the problem if they had fixed this issue then that engine would have been great. GM will be replacing there pushrod engines.
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI By the way, not sure if you know, but the coyote 5.0L was designed with DI in mind. They just didn't implement it, but the blanks get cast in the head anyway. So, you can be sure it will be DI in the future and consequently higher CR (likely 12:1 since the coyote is already at 11:1). I actually wished they did this on the GT500 in NA form to help boost up the power on it. That would have been a SWEET motor!
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI I don't know about it "being designed for the Mustang" unless you have a good reference on that. But I mentioned Roush's involvement, and the Boss 777 project that was tested in a Mustang platform for pheasibility. So yes, the block will handle 7.0L, the valve train will handle high RPMs, and so on. I also remember reading a very early research presentation about a conglomerate all of the recent technologies - EccoBoost, DI, duel fuel/E85, TT V8, etc.
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI Probably because of the new CAFE fuel efficiency mandates. Ford has not yet pursued variable cylinder management like GM has, and so Ford makes do with native engine efficiency to date. If they chose to deploy a large 6.2L in their mainstream car lineup like GM does, they would have to do something serious about fuel efficiency.
@9b8 well believe it or not if ford put the 6.2 into the mustang with a car intake this would more then likely raise the mpg up to 20-22 from 16mpg in the superduty. alot less weight then a big ass heavy truck. these engines wont even touch 30mpg no matter what, unless car companies really down size their muscle car's by about 2900lbs or so. yeah not happening. but the mustang in 2014 is do for a total redesign and it is getting smaller with irs.
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI True, the mpg would not be as bad in sports car trim. But regarding the fuel economy, that is why most of the world is adopting smaller displacement, even in performance car applications. The 2014 Mustang is going to be very interesting. It will be leaner, I'm guessing around 3200-3300 pounds hopefully. But suspension geometry will be key in the weight, I beleive. I hope they don't adopt too much "wizardy" and favor elegant mechanical design.
@9b8 the modular engine has been in production since 1991. other car companys were using this ohc technology back in the really late 70's. ohc is more reliable then pushrod motor's. really there is just no more evolving for the pushrod motor and one day that technology will dissapear, although it has served its purpose quite well for us
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI Yeah, you're right, the Japanese and Europeans deserve most of the credit! Fair enough. But at least Ford "manned up" and took on the unknown and made it work. This is why I laugh at guys that shit talk about how the small block modular platform sucks. They simply have a sitck man view of the automotive world, in my opinion. They didn't realize where the modular platform was going. But NOW they do. GM can't even pull any of their old tricks anymore.
@9b8 ohc is the future soon there wont be any pushrod engines left. i mean after all the ohc design is more efficient and reliable, you can also produce more power with the ohc design than you could with a pushrod, it's been proven many time's.
@9b8 yeah you are right that less displacement doesnt mean its not going to make power. but with bore comes more air. LS will make more power then an ohc ford N/A. if we were to get the new 6.2ohc in the mustang then we wouldnt have to worry about the LS motors anyway because its been proven that a ohc will make more power then a pushrod motor (comparable size of course). the 6.2 2v would destroy the 5.0 coyote, and LS motors no matter what you do to both motors.
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI An engine is an air pump (technically more a heat pump). The argument of relevance would be torque. My point is that 100% VE can be acheived independent of bore size. I knew you were referring to the Ford 6.2L. I wouldn't say the 6.2L of either side would "destroy" the 5.0L 4V. Even with the good head the LS3 has, it is DAMN LUCKY to stay ahead. Let alone the Boss version heads. I think the 6.2L Ford would "destroy" the LS3. Its been tested extensively
@9b8 the 6.2 ford would destroy the LS and 5.0 coyote no matter what. the 6.2 has 2 valves per cyl, but loook at the size of the valves and stock ports with very little work, these heads on the 6.2 bore size of 4.020" would outflow a 4v head on a 3.700 bore. there really is no competition for the 6.2l 2v from either the LS or 5.0 if the engine was ever put into a car chassis. BUT the 4v head will flow alot of air with valve lift at .470 and the engine will be more reliable on the street.
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI Yeah, I know about the "magical" 4" bore, 2" intake valve combo. But I'm on your side about the potential of the 6.2L Ford. I wish they would do a mean 4V head for it. Can you imagine? It would be Boss 429 4V all over again. It would murder everything in its sight. But this time, efficiently, with good fuel management. Even the 6.2L 2V in the raptor R trim pumped out 500+ BHP without issue. They have spin-troned it at Roush to over 8000RPM w/o issue!
@9b8 dude if ford mad a 4v head for the 6.2l and put it in a mustang JUST FUCKING WOW!!! this would be the engine of all engine's!!! the boss429 never had a 4v head bud!
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI Haha, I meant 4v as in carburetion layout, as they used to designate it. I really was hoping they would lean toward a DOHC version of the 6.2L for the GT500. Maybe they still will consider something in the future, since the 5.4L is nearing the end of its expected half-life. But, hopefully, they would do their homework and do it right, an all aluminum sports car version of the 6.2L, and make it a legit "Boss" label. I can see 600HP NA in that setup.
@9b8 yeah but you must remember 600hp is not going to be reliable for street driving this is why company's use forced induction and the engine is actually more efficient also. look at the 6.2l block's they all have "BOSS" casted in the valley between the head's. i dont think ford will put the 6.2 in car's just truck's. now were getting a new 5.8l! i like to see a 5.8 in my F150 instead of a 4v 5.0.
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI Yeah, I think too that Ford has something up their sleeve for the 6.2L platform. I read about the "Boss" moniker being universally applied to that engine also. And you obviously then know about its dev history with Roush and the Boss "777" project. They definitely were evaluating the options. So, Ford is no dummy and knows what they have, lol. Yeah, the 5.8L is official. I'm in a way glad, but just wished it were a HiPo NA version.
@9b8 i know we will definatley have a 5.8 block avalable to us even head's and cam's if guy's want N/A custom intake's will be made. hopefully both in iron and aluminum block's. but this is a big improvement for ford now they are getting bigger bore engine's for us. after all bore is a major limiting factor on how much air we can get into an engine. about a 48 hp increase than a 5.4 both N/A time will tell
@9b8 yeah i forgot about the 1v 2v 4v 6v carb logic used back in the day. im thinking of finding a 6.2 and putting it in my 62 galaxie, i will just need a custom sheetmetal intake manifold made for it to raise my rpm's up a bit.
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI Bubba, that would be one mean, screaming Galaxy! It would be the sexiest, but - when provoke - naughtiest and dirtiest bitch on the street! Hahaha. You know the top end can handle the RPMs per Roush's spintron results and blessing on the motor. Just a matter of beefy rods, if you are going 6500 RPM and up. I'm curious about the SOHC heads though, and what can be gotten out of them. A DOHC head would be so killer!
@9b8 the stock rotating assy will be good for what im doing, the truck intake is too big for my car and it only make's power in low rpm's. this is only going to be a street car not racing.
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI Now, let's throw in a Mercedes M156 6.2L platform in the mix. It is a 6.2L NA engine making 525BHP and 465 ft lbs of torque. And it is an OHC engine with a 4" bore setup (big bore/over square). The LS3 only dreams of those numbers in production. So I don't share the fuzzy feeling of the LS engines. I think they are archaic.
@9b8 first i must say this " mercedes is not a car company to be triffled with in any racing event period". see what i mean? a 6.2ohc making more power then a pushrod motor of comparable size motor? the mercedes is a 381 right? but look at what the mercedes uses for the induction setup! theres the answer on the cars power output. no matter what an ohc engine will be more efficient then a pushrod motor at any power level.
@9b8 if the coyote 5.0 had a bore size of 4.00 it would be 367 even if it had a 3.900 bore size it would make a 358. this is what we ford guys want. bore size. this is why ford made the coyote a 3.700 instead of 3.552. a 5.0 big bore will make about 37hp more then a 4.6 4v in N/A trim. now add a 4.00bore with 4v's you will have an easy 76hp more and at lower rpm's. that would be about almost 510hp with the 4v head N/A on a 4.00 bore coyote motor. imagine a 4v headed 367 WOW!!!
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI YEah, I said in another comment to you... it would be Boss 429 4V all over again. A damn shame that motore didn't live to see at least a decade. But, bet your ass, no Chrysler HEMI nor chevy "vortech" guy would ever dream of messing with that motor, even if they had a "fair" 426, 427, or even 440 or 454 engine. That Boss 429 would destroy ANY engine GM short of 500CI. GM had to build an engine with bores bigger than your ass cheeks to compte (the 572).
@9b8 lol dude i seen 427 hi-riser ford's piss on 572's LMAO. honestly look at history FORD had done in 1962-1973 and the ford 427 428 and 429cj's were doing! pissing on hemi's 396's 454's and 440's even the 440 would eat a hemi! the government is what killed the 429 and muscle car performance and factory backed racing. yeah a 6.2 mustang would be sick. these motor's are being stroked to 400ci and other's making 427's with them. just maybe we will see this in a mustang
@9b8 dont forget that ford is makin a 5.8l for the GT500 for next spring. just a 5.4l with 3.700 bore and a 4v head. 650hp 600trq. tvs blower. maybe we can get a 5.8 N/A for our project car's?
@coupe50h not trying to start a youtube argument but a good chunk of 60s and 1970 big blocks were pretty close to 500 horse and the '11 5.0 in this vid was modded anyhow according to comments
@67ShelbyMustang check out my last post. Last week cylinder8 misfired and the plug8 is covered in oil. The car has been turned back to stock. Do you have any recommendations to get the cars ecu flashed so it doesn't show it being modded
hmmm I'm finding that very hard to belive. No way that new pos mustang and this is coming from a die hard mustang lover. No way that stang beat a true 427. Sorry but I work for ford and have drove many of the new GT's. I have a couple friends that have 427's and the new GT can't touch em. One is in a 67 Chevelle and the other is in a 69 Camaro.
sounds like he has no gear in it,and the cam is very mild for a bbc, you can tell by listening to it at the light. plus a very soft bring your stankstang down here, 12's today isn't much
@prostreet55chevy That is a lot of shit talk! Let me guess, you are NOT running a 305 or smaller STREET car, are you? Let us know when you find yourself a chevy 305 built and ready to go.
@9b8 how is that shit talk first off dumb ass, secondly, i actually have a 283 sbc that you can come take a try with, 305 are shitty, they have a small cc head but only a 1.88 valve biggest it will take is a 1.94 what else you got? want me to break out my bmx bike or moped? that should be a good race for ya, lmao let's hear your crying now? lmao
@prostreet55chevy You are so damn mouthy, haha. Well, there are plenty of 289s and 302/5.0s you can that 283 of yours against. The proof would be in the pudding. What's the specs on that 283?
@9b8 sure as soon as you post some vids of you running sub 10's well talk more, just in short its roller cammed, brodix headed , also how bout you race a 302 chevy that would be fair right?? lol
@prostreet55chevy Good morning there, hot shot. Like I said, take your 283 and run it against a few 289s or 281s. That would be fair. Running a 302 chevy may or may not be fair. It would depend on what I'm running, now wouldn't it? One could always do what GM asswipes do, and run a big block against a small block, and then brag when the race is won. Makes a lot of sense.
@9b8 actually if you learn to read i said i have a 283. and yes i run a bbc also just a small one only at 512. too bad for you my sbc is in my 66 elky or i would put it in something like a 79 Cadillac , or a heavy station wagon to make it a fair race for you, or maybe i could get my bmx bike and radio flyer out of attic. lmao
@prostreet55chevy You started the shit talk and came across cocky, pal! I'm going to call you squeeky, because you are one noisy and mouthy SOB. Yes, why don't you run your "stock" 283 in a "production" car against one of those "shitstangs" and see what happens. If its not stock and production then do us a favor: shhhhhhhhhh. If your rig DOES meet those specs, then run it against one of these coyotes and video it to back your claims, noting that YOU went on the plank, not I. Shut up or put up.
@9b8 not really retard look at what i wrote at first then learn to shut your mouth up ,, when your a big boy and you use your big boy voice put your money where that is and let's run and see what happens i have my bmx bike ready to go and my radio flyer, waiting on you now lmao
@prostreet55chevy I can read. But note you are the one doing most of the name calling. Is that what you are after...a name calling YT slug fest? Troll or kid? Shut the hell up. Back on point, here's what you said: "bring your (to whom, I don't know) stankstang down here, 12's today isn't much." Please realize the car of subject is an all stock production vehicle, not a gutted, built and tuned strip machine. THIS is why you come across ignorant and stupid. Evolution Perf. has one you can try.
@9b8 lmao i wouldn't and can't drive rice, sorry i rather eat it,, like i said put your money where your mouth might be, i will be at track all day sat n sunday, if you have guts n 10k or more let's find out who runs 12's got the bmx bike shined up
@prostreet55chevy Can you not read, shit stain? YOU'RE the one blabbering on about how bad ass your car is and that 12's isn't much these days. And no one here ever even MENTIONED driving "rice." The whole talk has been about the 2011+ Mustang, since that is what was in this video. But you can't read or comprehend obviously, so you are a fuckin queer assed moron. you don't even know what "stock" means. And Brodix heads are NOT stock options, dip shit. Your'e busted, an obvious shit talker.
@prostreet55chevy WHAT video? I'm done with you now. SHUT UP, ass wipe. Read me? SHUT...UP. You're such a mouthy little prick, someone ough to fuck your ass up for being the annoying shit mound you are. I knew I should not have even bothered with you, should have trusted my better judgement. Go BS to someone else about your "stock" brodix headed car that is faster than a summer time beer piss. I'm just glad I don't have to hear your mouth run IRL. I seriously would lose my temper. Ass be gone.
@9b8 put your money where you mouth used to be and man up pussy ass how much you wanna lose? i'll borrow my grandpas farm tractor to take on your mom's honda ,, lmao
@prostreet55chevy That is it, you just earned yourself a block and flag. You are obviously just a shit talking troll, looking to stroke your ego. Fuck you. Merry Christmas.
@ITRIEDEL I love the 5.0L, but in all fairness, that chevelle has a lot of steel to pull, lol. I doubt it is the typical stripped dedicated race variety chevelle you see on the tracks.
naaa no way that must of let off and was it a el camino????

Yeea maybe i shouldnt have said fuck ford lol i think i hurt peopls feelings lol hahaha
But any ways 1 in 100,000??? No way
Most Ford people that machine their heads put chevy valves, but same stem (chevy valves)
And i've even seen years 85-91 mustangs have a 350 SB chevy in them, they are fast as hell, i know this because i know a lot of people who have done it,
And that 427????? Im not so shure that really was a 427, my old 383 had a rougher sounding cam, it all has to do with the driver,
BIRDMAN3207 2 days ago
@BIRDMAN3207 Many people dont seem to understand that motors of the same kind were used in many different types of vehicles WITH DIFFERENT POWER RANGES! For instance, the motor in that Chevy (427 v8) was different than the one used in a 1969 Copo Camaro (427 V8). The Copo had more power. Also, there (Police cars) that used 427 motors in there cars and were (different) than the Motors the CHEVY CORVETTES HAD (427)! Know your history and motor specs for each car and year!!
Gilbert440 16 hours ago
@BIRDMAN3207 that's why the 2013 gt500 is the fastest stock v8 in the world. All ford parts. Too bad GM took government bailout money so they didn't go bankrupt. Guess people didn't think there cars were so hot. HaHa
droidbotaz 2 days ago
@droidbotaz Thats a lot of cars to knock off a list that goes way back. And is that V8 small block or big block? And the bigger question, is that engine supercharge? If it is, it really has no room to talk! To my knowledge the most powerful motor or setup whatever you might want to chose, there is a difference, is a 833HP big block 7.0 V8 pure motor now superchargers, no NOS, no turbo, and it had a 13:?:1 Compression Ratio "Factory".
Gilbert440 17 hours ago
Hahah fuck ford
Thats why when ppl want to make there fords faster they use CHEVY parts in there engines!!!!s
BIRDMAN3207 2 days ago
@BIRDMAN3207 Yea I highly doubt that. Maybe 1 in 100,000 Fords. How does it feel to be cheated by GM, with the bailout and everything?
Oh and another thing to keep in mind. Camaro ZL1 (580 hp) vs Boss Laguna Seca (444 hp). Why did Chevy have to supercharge their 6.2L? Because they are scared little bitches!
Keep thinking Chevy is better...
fireplay20 2 days ago
@fireplay20 People have to buy supercharge cars because they dont know how to work on there own cars! I like to build power out of PURE MOTOR! Adding a supercharger seems to lazy and boreing, its not the same as build PURE RAW POWER!

@BIRDMAN3207 Its true! The big block Chevy had a great Piston Rods and Piston Pins!

Hats1976 4 days ago
Gilbert440 16 hours ago
@Gilbert440 I can say the motor in that Chevy was a early 427 motor 1966 with some not so fast gears 323 or something, and the too small tires, and a too small Carb for that car (750 cfm)! Now try a 1969 Camaro Copo zl1 427 with a 4spd Muncie and 12 bolt posi with 410s in the rear much faster. Or race that same chevy but with simple changes like 15 in. tires and rims a bigger carb because that big motor is being starved with that little factory carb, reset the timing in the car by a few degrees!
Gilbert440 16 hours ago

Are people surprised the Mustang won? That Chevelle's gotta have some balls to run even close to a 5.0. They weigh a metric asston. My wife's Fusion Sport is faster than most classic muscle cars (stock for stock). This Chevelle is sick, though. Two awesome cars.
lateloop 3 months ago
@lateloop dude is right. i have a 71 Z28 w/ a big block; heads, cam, no exhaust, over 430 hp to the crank. my 2000 trans am, nearly stock, about 400 lbs heavier, smokes it easily. old muscle cars require much more work to 'go fast' than a newer car....i wouldn't be too proud if i were the mustang owner.

jbpaintballer05 3 months ago
It's a tough pill to swallow, but let's face it, the VAST majority of old musclecars were 14-15 second rigs. yeah a few would run 13s on a good day. a new 5.0 is a solid 12 second machine right off the showroom. A stock big block Chevy is not impressive at all.

mrjwynia 3 months ago
@SOFSoldier1 You mean like the gay interior, and horrible roof line of the gaymaro? And the over 4000lbs weight (wait, this is a sports car!?!?!) And the 6.2L LS3, essentially of truck engine lineage, that manages the same old ~400BHP that they have been doing for years? Or the ZL1 with a supercharged LS3 that STILL only musters what other companies have been doing with over 1 litre less displacement, for the last 2 decades? Don't give me that stupid and ignorant monkey shit. You're clueless.
9b8 3 months ago
@9b8 hey bud i will agree with you but the one thing chevy engine's have that ford's dont have is cubic inches. we ford guy's would really love a 4.00" bore back in our motor's. if that were to ever happen (hopefully) shit the LS motors wouldnt even stand a chance! N/A or blown. but 400hp is 400hp no matter car or truck engine, its about weight, RPM's and how the car is built. regardless of engine size.
1962Galaxie514ciMPFI 3 months ago
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI Yeah, maybe. But, I will tell you, go look at some numbers. Ford's 5.4L 3V has MORE torque than the GM 5.3L vortech, as well as damn close and in cases more torque than many of the 5.7L GM offerings. In fact, the 5.4L 3V boasts about the same torque as the 6.0L Vortech, despite .6 less displacement. I think what happens is that there is more legend than fact, sometimes. But I agree with you on comparing apples to apples and the engineering principles.
9b8 3 months ago
1962Galaxie514ciMPFI 3 months ago
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI I understand what you are trying to say but bore and stroke isn't the whole story. The FR500C heads flow VERY well as do the GT500 heads. The new Coyote heads outflow all of those and the larger 6.2L LS3, supposedly closer to 340cfm at only 4.75" lift. With porting, its been confirmed to exceed 400cfm. The result is a smaller (by 1.2L), more potent engine outputting about the same HP and torque. Period.
9b8 3 months ago
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI The GM and Chrysler approach is an economically cheaper technical approach. Of course, more displacement is simply going to yield more output. but its a fallacy and lie straight from hell to then conclude that less displacement is inferior. The Japanese and Europeans, and now Ford with the 5.0L 4V Coyote platform have proven that. Folks are going to have to wake up and relearn what they thought they knew about engines; it is a moving/evolving target.
9b8 3 months ago
@9b8 Yeah, but what if you are talking about technology, circa 1968?
TheDeJureTour 3 months ago
@TheDeJureTour Irconically, the story is much the same! In '69, you had the Boss stuff being developed, in LeMans you had the Ford GT spanking asses two by two, and you had the Ford DFV (double four valve) dominating F1. Nearly every race team were running those engines, in that day. Ford has had a rich history of forthcoming technology. While the other of the big 3 have had their own accomplishments, I don't think it has been nearly as diverse, from an engineering standpoint.
9b8 3 months ago
@9b8 But a LeMans Ford was designed for the track and racing, no?
I'm not sure its all that fair to compare big block mass production motors - made for the average American driver, to specialty race engines made for professional operators.
TheDeJureTour 3 months ago
@TheDeJureTour Well, it is technology. And that tech did/does trickle down to the consumer market. The point was Ford's technical presence and acheivements in general. But if you want to speak in terms of production, the Boss was production. But even the regular Mustang platform was delivering the goods for the day.
9b8 3 months ago
@9b8 Duly noted.
There is a good video somewhere on the Tubes of a '65 289ci Ford Fairlane racing a newer "muscle car", and it is awesome to watch.
TheDeJureTour 3 months ago
@9b8 first i never said anything about the 6.2 ls i was reffering to the ford 6.2ohc. second we were talking about N/A engines and how much a ls motor can make more power N/A then a 4.6 or 5.0. the 5.0 has a 3.700 bore the ls has 3.900 no matter what the ls will make more power N/A. you can move 400cfm of air through a 4V 5.0 but this is not going to be a reliable street engine cause the powerband will be up at higher rpm's. and show me the power numbers on such an engine? LS will make more
1962Galaxie514ciMPFI 3 months ago
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI There are quite a few resources out there now showing the coyote at work on the dyno and on the track. The LS3 has more torque throughout the power band, of course, but the coyote makes as much power, breathes BETTER to do it, and has a MUCH wider power band. The LS3 power band appears to be 3-6 and that is about it... rather narrrow and non-linear. I wasn't arguing that a bigger bore size wouldn't make more NA power - regardless of the vendor.
9b8 3 months ago
@9b8 ive seen N/A LS3 motors wreck 5.0 coyote motors in 1/4 mile time's. but of course what has been done to both cars though? that is the question.
1962Galaxie514ciMPFI 3 months ago
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI Well, if that LS3 was NA and nestled in a stick shift Camaro, then sounds to me like a driving or environment issue. The Camaro is a behemoth, weighing over 4000lbs. (A sports car, can you believe that monkey shit?) In nearly 100% of real-world stock for stock comparisons I've seen, both professional and amatuer alike, the Camaro has come up short all the way around. Even handling. Now, will the LS3 be more economical to mod? Sure, but pack a lunch.
9b8 3 months ago
@9b8 stock wise yes the 2011 mustang is faster then the 2011 camaro manual or stick, but what i was saying was that ive seen worked N/A 5.0's and 6.2's go at it not stock car's. but ive also seen both car's boosted and the coyote is a motor that take's boost real well and just pisse's on 6.2's boosted as well.
1962Galaxie514ciMPFI 3 months ago
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI correct me if im wrong but i thought the mustang was only 200lbs lighter than the camaro?
1962Galaxie514ciMPFI 3 months ago
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI I thought so too at first. The seems to be some discrepancies ACTUAL weight, though. Some sources say 3750, and I've seen others quote ~4000. That could be mistaken for the Mopar, I suspect. For the Mustang GT, some sources say only 3400 for the MT while others suggest 3600. So, I should be nice and back pedal on that until it is consistent.
9b8 3 months ago
@9b8 if i remember correctly the challenger is over 4000 and the mustang only weight's 200 less than the maro.
1962Galaxie514ciMPFI 3 months ago
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI I know I seem to come across argumentative but not to offend I promise. I just am a bit passionate about this because I think Ford has the better pedigree and big picture vision. I "see the light," as it were. I've heard some (not many at all, lol) GM guys actually admit this, too. GM is struggling to keep their OHV alive and are at the bottom of their bag'o'tricks. They have procrastinated and are WAY behind the technology curve.
9b8 3 months ago
@9b8 yes your correct ford makes better products period, you must remember the ohc technology ford is using isnt new to us. infact ford was using 4v heads on a 255ci in indy racing back in the 60s and dominateing the F1 circuit's. i think GM is actually going to start making ohc V8 engines in 2016 with direct injection and no more pushrod's. but maybe this will be incentive for ford to bring back the 4.00" bore. who know's? time will tell.
1962Galaxie514ciMPFI 3 months ago
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI Yeah, Ford's has had a rich presence in many DIFFERENT kinds of racing. GM fanboys will argue that GM has a top notch rscing pedigree, which is true if you look at it through the lens of mainstream. I don't consider NASCAR to be that spectacular of a race venue. Yeah I know GM is SUPPOSED to be designing an OHC V8 architecture (again), if the beancounters and bureaucracy mongrols dont pull the plug. But Ford will know their every move.
9b8 3 months ago

9b8 3 months ago
@9b8 if you look at the northstar ohc v8 that should tell you why it failed. the engine itself wouldnt have been a failure its the design of the top end that was a failure GM just didnt fix the problem if they had fixed this issue then that engine would have been great. GM will be replacing there pushrod engines.
1962Galaxie514ciMPFI 3 months ago
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI By the way, not sure if you know, but the coyote 5.0L was designed with DI in mind. They just didn't implement it, but the blanks get cast in the head anyway. So, you can be sure it will be DI in the future and consequently higher CR (likely 12:1 since the coyote is already at 11:1). I actually wished they did this on the GT500 in NA form to help boost up the power on it. That would have been a SWEET motor!

@9b8 i knew about it. but did you also know the 6.2 was originally designed for the mustang?
1962Galaxie514ciMPFI 3 months ago
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI I don't know about it "being designed for the Mustang" unless you have a good reference on that. But I mentioned Roush's involvement, and the Boss 777 project that was tested in a Mustang platform for pheasibility. So yes, the block will handle 7.0L, the valve train will handle high RPMs, and so on. I also remember reading a very early research presentation about a conglomerate all of the recent technologies - EccoBoost, DI, duel fuel/E85, TT V8, etc.
9b8 3 months ago
@9b8 magazine's, but i cant remember actually why ford didnt do the 6.2l mustang.
1962Galaxie514ciMPFI 3 months ago
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI Probably because of the new CAFE fuel efficiency mandates. Ford has not yet pursued variable cylinder management like GM has, and so Ford makes do with native engine efficiency to date. If they chose to deploy a large 6.2L in their mainstream car lineup like GM does, they would have to do something serious about fuel efficiency.
9b8 3 months ago
@9b8 well believe it or not if ford put the 6.2 into the mustang with a car intake this would more then likely raise the mpg up to 20-22 from 16mpg in the superduty. alot less weight then a big ass heavy truck. these engines wont even touch 30mpg no matter what, unless car companies really down size their muscle car's by about 2900lbs or so. yeah not happening. but the mustang in 2014 is do for a total redesign and it is getting smaller with irs.
1962Galaxie514ciMPFI 3 months ago
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI True, the mpg would not be as bad in sports car trim. But regarding the fuel economy, that is why most of the world is adopting smaller displacement, even in performance car applications. The 2014 Mustang is going to be very interesting. It will be leaner, I'm guessing around 3200-3300 pounds hopefully. But suspension geometry will be key in the weight, I beleive. I hope they don't adopt too much "wizardy" and favor elegant mechanical design.

1962Galaxie514ciMPFI 3 months ago
@9b8 the modular engine has been in production since 1991. other car companys were using this ohc technology back in the really late 70's. ohc is more reliable then pushrod motor's. really there is just no more evolving for the pushrod motor and one day that technology will dissapear, although it has served its purpose quite well for us
1962Galaxie514ciMPFI 3 months ago
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI Yeah, you're right, the Japanese and Europeans deserve most of the credit! Fair enough. But at least Ford "manned up" and took on the unknown and made it work. This is why I laugh at guys that shit talk about how the small block modular platform sucks. They simply have a sitck man view of the automotive world, in my opinion. They didn't realize where the modular platform was going. But NOW they do. GM can't even pull any of their old tricks anymore.
9b8 3 months ago
@9b8 ohc is the future soon there wont be any pushrod engines left. i mean after all the ohc design is more efficient and reliable, you can also produce more power with the ohc design than you could with a pushrod, it's been proven many time's.
1962Galaxie514ciMPFI 3 months ago
@9b8 yeah you are right that less displacement doesnt mean its not going to make power. but with bore comes more air. LS will make more power then an ohc ford N/A. if we were to get the new 6.2ohc in the mustang then we wouldnt have to worry about the LS motors anyway because its been proven that a ohc will make more power then a pushrod motor (comparable size of course). the 6.2 2v would destroy the 5.0 coyote, and LS motors no matter what you do to both motors.
1962Galaxie514ciMPFI 3 months ago
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI An engine is an air pump (technically more a heat pump). The argument of relevance would be torque. My point is that 100% VE can be acheived independent of bore size. I knew you were referring to the Ford 6.2L. I wouldn't say the 6.2L of either side would "destroy" the 5.0L 4V. Even with the good head the LS3 has, it is DAMN LUCKY to stay ahead. Let alone the Boss version heads. I think the 6.2L Ford would "destroy" the LS3. Its been tested extensively
9b8 3 months ago
@9b8 the 6.2 ford would destroy the LS and 5.0 coyote no matter what. the 6.2 has 2 valves per cyl, but loook at the size of the valves and stock ports with very little work, these heads on the 6.2 bore size of 4.020" would outflow a 4v head on a 3.700 bore. there really is no competition for the 6.2l 2v from either the LS or 5.0 if the engine was ever put into a car chassis. BUT the 4v head will flow alot of air with valve lift at .470 and the engine will be more reliable on the street.
1962Galaxie514ciMPFI 3 months ago
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI Yeah, I know about the "magical" 4" bore, 2" intake valve combo. But I'm on your side about the potential of the 6.2L Ford. I wish they would do a mean 4V head for it. Can you imagine? It would be Boss 429 4V all over again. It would murder everything in its sight. But this time, efficiently, with good fuel management. Even the 6.2L 2V in the raptor R trim pumped out 500+ BHP without issue. They have spin-troned it at Roush to over 8000RPM w/o issue!
9b8 3 months ago
@9b8 dude if ford mad a 4v head for the 6.2l and put it in a mustang JUST FUCKING WOW!!! this would be the engine of all engine's!!! the boss429 never had a 4v head bud!
1962Galaxie514ciMPFI 3 months ago
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI Haha, I meant 4v as in carburetion layout, as they used to designate it. I really was hoping they would lean toward a DOHC version of the 6.2L for the GT500. Maybe they still will consider something in the future, since the 5.4L is nearing the end of its expected half-life. But, hopefully, they would do their homework and do it right, an all aluminum sports car version of the 6.2L, and make it a legit "Boss" label. I can see 600HP NA in that setup.
9b8 3 months ago
@9b8 yeah but you must remember 600hp is not going to be reliable for street driving this is why company's use forced induction and the engine is actually more efficient also. look at the 6.2l block's they all have "BOSS" casted in the valley between the head's. i dont think ford will put the 6.2 in car's just truck's. now were getting a new 5.8l! i like to see a 5.8 in my F150 instead of a 4v 5.0.
1962Galaxie514ciMPFI 3 months ago
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI Yeah, I think too that Ford has something up their sleeve for the 6.2L platform. I read about the "Boss" moniker being universally applied to that engine also. And you obviously then know about its dev history with Roush and the Boss "777" project. They definitely were evaluating the options. So, Ford is no dummy and knows what they have, lol. Yeah, the 5.8L is official. I'm in a way glad, but just wished it were a HiPo NA version.
9b8 3 months ago
@9b8 i know we will definatley have a 5.8 block avalable to us even head's and cam's if guy's want N/A custom intake's will be made. hopefully both in iron and aluminum block's. but this is a big improvement for ford now they are getting bigger bore engine's for us. after all bore is a major limiting factor on how much air we can get into an engine. about a 48 hp increase than a 5.4 both N/A time will tell
1962Galaxie514ciMPFI 3 months ago
@9b8 yeah i forgot about the 1v 2v 4v 6v carb logic used back in the day. im thinking of finding a 6.2 and putting it in my 62 galaxie, i will just need a custom sheetmetal intake manifold made for it to raise my rpm's up a bit.
1962Galaxie514ciMPFI 3 months ago
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI Bubba, that would be one mean, screaming Galaxy! It would be the sexiest, but - when provoke - naughtiest and dirtiest bitch on the street! Hahaha. You know the top end can handle the RPMs per Roush's spintron results and blessing on the motor. Just a matter of beefy rods, if you are going 6500 RPM and up. I'm curious about the SOHC heads though, and what can be gotten out of them. A DOHC head would be so killer!
9b8 3 months ago
@9b8 the stock rotating assy will be good for what im doing, the truck intake is too big for my car and it only make's power in low rpm's. this is only going to be a street car not racing.
1962Galaxie514ciMPFI 3 months ago
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI Now, let's throw in a Mercedes M156 6.2L platform in the mix. It is a 6.2L NA engine making 525BHP and 465 ft lbs of torque. And it is an OHC engine with a 4" bore setup (big bore/over square). The LS3 only dreams of those numbers in production. So I don't share the fuzzy feeling of the LS engines. I think they are archaic.
9b8 3 months ago
@9b8 first i must say this " mercedes is not a car company to be triffled with in any racing event period". see what i mean? a 6.2ohc making more power then a pushrod motor of comparable size motor? the mercedes is a 381 right? but look at what the mercedes uses for the induction setup! theres the answer on the cars power output. no matter what an ohc engine will be more efficient then a pushrod motor at any power level.
1962Galaxie514ciMPFI 3 months ago
1962Galaxie514ciMPFI 3 months ago
@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI YEah, I said in another comment to you... it would be Boss 429 4V all over again. A damn shame that motore didn't live to see at least a decade. But, bet your ass, no Chrysler HEMI nor chevy "vortech" guy would ever dream of messing with that motor, even if they had a "fair" 426, 427, or even 440 or 454 engine. That Boss 429 would destroy ANY engine GM short of 500CI. GM had to build an engine with bores bigger than your ass cheeks to compte (the 572).
9b8 3 months ago
@9b8 lol dude i seen 427 hi-riser ford's piss on 572's LMAO. honestly look at history FORD had done in 1962-1973 and the ford 427 428 and 429cj's were doing! pissing on hemi's 396's 454's and 440's even the 440 would eat a hemi! the government is what killed the 429 and muscle car performance and factory backed racing. yeah a 6.2 mustang would be sick. these motor's are being stroked to 400ci and other's making 427's with them. just maybe we will see this in a mustang
1962Galaxie514ciMPFI 3 months ago
@9b8 dont forget that ford is makin a 5.8l for the GT500 for next spring. just a 5.4l with 3.700 bore and a 4v head. 650hp 600trq. tvs blower. maybe we can get a 5.8 N/A for our project car's?

@prostreet55chevy That is a lot of shit talk! Let me guess, you are NOT running a 305 or smaller STREET car, are you? Let us know when you find yourself a chevy 305 built and ready to go.

@9b8 how is that shit talk first off dumb ass, secondly, i actually have a 283 sbc that you can come take a try with, 305 are shitty, they have a small cc head but only a 1.88 valve biggest it will take is a 1.94 what else you got? want me to break out my bmx bike or moped? that should be a good race for ya, lmao let's hear your crying now? lmao
prostreet55chevy 5 months ago
@prostreet55chevy You are so damn mouthy, haha. Well, there are plenty of 289s and 302/5.0s you can that 283 of yours against. The proof would be in the pudding. What's the specs on that 283?
9b8 5 months ago
@9b8 sure as soon as you post some vids of you running sub 10's well talk more, just in short its roller cammed, brodix headed , also how bout you race a 302 chevy that would be fair right?? lol
prostreet55chevy 4 months ago
@prostreet55chevy Good morning there, hot shot. Like I said, take your 283 and run it against a few 289s or 281s. That would be fair. Running a 302 chevy may or may not be fair. It would depend on what I'm running, now wouldn't it? One could always do what GM asswipes do, and run a big block against a small block, and then brag when the race is won. Makes a lot of sense.
9b8 4 months ago
@9b8 actually if you learn to read i said i have a 283. and yes i run a bbc also just a small one only at 512. too bad for you my sbc is in my 66 elky or i would put it in something like a 79 Cadillac , or a heavy station wagon to make it a fair race for you, or maybe i could get my bmx bike and radio flyer out of attic. lmao
prostreet55chevy 4 months ago
