I don't think television shows was up Brian Dennehy's alley. I think he was much better suited for movies like F/X and Best Seller. I think he was much suited for the big screen than T.V shows, but that's just my opinion. I mean, look at how shortlived Star of The Family was...it might have worked for Michael J. Fox to do both movie and show, but Brian was better with movies because it was showed more of his acting ability in that field.

Holy cow, it's Brian Dennehy in a sitcom! He can handle both comedic (Tommy Boy) and dramatic roles (Gacy), I'll give you that.
