Renault KILLED Nissan. Nissan does not produce solid quality vehicles anymore, like they used to do (what a wonderful heritage they left with the old Pickup D21, Patrol, Teranno I & II). Their cars now are made just by Renault Recipe: Cheap car, cheap materials, shabby quality, HUGE prices for spare part and maintenance.
It seems to me that the French came, took advantage of Nissan reputation, in exchange letting them to tinkle freely on their GT-R. That's it. Nissan in my opinion is DEAD. RIP
My first real insurred car was a renault alliance, other than the breaks failing, it was a pretty good car. It was car of the year at one point in time. To all car designers: STOP GOING INTO THE PAST AND RECREATING THE WHEEL...LETS MOVE FORWARD WITH ALL NEW TYPES OF TRANSPORTATION. Its the year 2011, we should be using hover cars powered by magnetic energy by now. Nissan, stop being lazy, dont reinvent the Pulsar. We want something straight out of our imagination. Start with a trash bin!

Let's not exaggerate.
The Nissan 370z is a pretty decent car for example.
And there are some Renault models that aren't bad either.
