I love this game. My biggest worry though is that online after a while groundgame and clinch will be destroyed as everyone will get used to grppling animations and no exactly when to press O/B but standup is fun when you get used to it and learn your own style, best way to test it out is to do Overeem v Overeem. A good way to win that fight is to circle to your right and when he no doubt comes forward dropping his head you time a nice right head kick and go in for the kill.

This game so fucking sucks I played the demo last night and man i hate it. Like every 3 seconds the computer shoots in i stop it every time and he still keeps shooting. the striking sucks to the Total fight control scheme doesn't work. the punches lag & look like playdoh and dont seem to connect. I like stand up striking but this game seems like they want you to fight exclusively on the ground. the graphic look good but the AI on legend mode sucks haven't fought a human yet. I hate this Game

Is there an option to reverse a transition with a sub? cause there should be. A lot of the subs come from it (Trying to pass to side control but leaving your hand inside the opponents guard, rolling from the mount into the rear naked, etc...)

i downloaded the demo for ps3 and for some reason all they do is shoot for clinches and takedowns, and they never submit me. All i do is press O and i flip them over ground and pound, eventually get mount and knock them out

u dont know how to play the name of the ground game is strike to pass pass to strike on the ground you must first strike then you can pass what you was doing was all wrong your playing the game like its ufc 2010 you cant spam your way around on the ground you have to think and take it slow

Ok just got done playing it and so far i'm not really feeling it and am on the verge of canceling my pre order. Way too many problems with the for me to post here but let me just say that the rotation strike controls from fight night was a stupid implement. I really hope I can change that.

I like the grappling but i'm not quite feeling the stand up. Can you get rocked and KO with a body shot? Also does leg kicks have any affects because I know Undisputed don't really. I'll probably know most of these answers once the download finish.

Leg kicks do have an effect in Undisputed. You need to consistenly use them and by round 3 or 4 you opponent wil be hobbling.

You've still not convinced me Karsten. Its got nice touches like the fakes, but there's still no depth to the grappling. Smash one button (or the stick if you use Undisputed controls) and then strike moderately....

There's more to the ground game than that.

If you are waiting for an MMA game that will fully capture every aspect of every arts in MMA, you will not get it.

EVER.

It is still a video game and has limitation. We only have so many hands and fingers. There are only so many buttons on a controller. The programmers are not gods.

This is the best version of what can be done to date. In the future, there will be improvements, but it will never be so deep that everything is captured.

You know I agree with you in terms of fully representing MMA. But that doesnt change the fact they have really watered down the grappling.

In 1000 fights you never had a back and forth battle in Undisputed? Maybe in online mode (which I dont play anymore) because people just exploit the game design flaws. But that doesnt mean this game will be any different.

In two years of emailing you this is the first time we are at polar opposites of the spectrum.

@doliveij It's still too much of a mix of arcade and simulation. I think that there focus was not on simulation, it was to make this a pick up and play experience. I guarantee if they would have focused on making this a sim then it would have been better.

They want pick up and play games(EA) like Madden, FIFA and etc. They don't focus on making sim.

The developers are not gods but, it's not excuse to tone down there games.

@Papoose316 this game is more 4 tactical gamers.it has brought the technical aspect of mma into a game n especially the ground game.i agree ea cud have added more 2 the ground like positions(like butterfly guard) n subs but its gud 4 ea's 1st attempt.u will actually have 2 think n strategize 2 do things against skilled ppl unlike ufc where ppl cud just spam wins.basically if u spam n ea mma against skilled ppl u WILL get owned.the game doesnt have much exploits.im a mma fan so ill get it ne way

similar to ufc (but worse) the striking is very rudimentary. This is game is not better then ufc 2010! I find it hilarious that people think that... Maybe UFC 2009. Sound fx in this game are so dumb. The only reason why I'll buy this game is to play as Fedor, Mousasi, Couture, and Overeem. But I think this demo sucks.
