Just finished my first year here today, by far the best year of my life.. If you want to go to a university where its safe and exciting, always something to do and the people are extremely friendly this is your place. Not to mention, the girls are fit.
I just finished applying to Leicester University as a transfer student. I was looking for a school in the UK that was near a city that would provide a solid music scene, some clubbing, and a good time, but still be a good university. Can anyone who attends the university speak to the night club or tell me a bit more about the ski/ snowboard club as there really isn't much on their page?
i just got a conditional, anyone have this as thier first choice and why? i kind of just applied because i'm indecisive. =S help me im a dumb ass xxxx
@yourspiritguide The shot at 4:01 in this video was taken in the University of Leicester Botanic Gardens. They are situated at the back of the main house at Beaumont Hall in the Oadby student village. The roof of the main house of Beaumont Hall can just be seen behind the trees in the centre of the frame. The Botanic Gardens can be accessed through a gate at the side of the main house at Beaumont Hall or by the main entrance on Glebe Road.
I started an MSc. in Geology @ Leicester Uni in 2002, but didn't like the course. But I liked the place a lot. Stayed and went to DeMontfort. I say this - students of Leicester Uni are missing out on the sheer qwality of the west end, braunstone gate, narb road areas... get involved, dont get locked into the Leicester Uni zone, not as good!
I'm considering Leicester to do my MA in Public Relations. Any feedback from current students? Is it worth a shot and investment? It looks like a great uni with excellent students' facilities. Need your advise. Thank you, guys! Tatyana.
@ManiacG143 According to the RAC route planner the distances between the University of Leicester Campus, Student Village and City Centre are as follows....
Campus to Student Village - 3 Miles (4.83km)
Campus to City Centre - 1.63 Miles (2.62km)
Student Village to City Centre - 3.62 Miles (5.83km)
i completly agree with this video. Leceister is an amazing place to study. Plus this coming year has the advantage of a brand spanking new union. Get involved in as many societies as you can becuase its a great way to meet new people. Will be great to see all the new faces at the freshers fair this year! Keep an eye out for the politics stand as im the social secretary for next year.
@chrisfactoryboi It sounds really cheesy, but just be yourself. they're trained to know if you're being honest or not, so just have some idea of what you're going to say and be confident and direct. oh, and get some practice in beforehand, it's always good to just rehearse your answers with friends! good luck!
