  • I have spent a good amount of time at the Henry Ford research room and also in development of the Discovery Channel program INSIDE THE TARGET CAR. My other video that I helped develop is the SPEED Channel documentary on the car, at my Youtube site.

The JFK limo SS-100-X was rebuilt after the assassination. The only thing about this car that is the same is the frame. It was conveniently spirited out of DC so it could not be used for the Warren Commission reenactment.

  • Leipold100 above, the car ws rebuilt as a 1964 model for LBJ hence the difference noted. I believe it was delivered as a 61 and modified to a 62 at the time of the assassination.

  • They also have the restored bus on which Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat which so energized the Civil Rights Movement. Terrific Museum, the building is an exact copy of Independence Hall, right down to its flaws.

  • The Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village also has the chair in which Pres. Lincoln was sitting when he was assassinated at Ford's Theatre.

  • I don't believe this is the same lime as JFK was riding in, unless it undertook a complete transformation. The one on display had a whole new configuration of the front bumper, all different rims. This may be the identical one that was bulit for Jackie Kennedy.

  • @MrLen1955 its probbly not considering the fbi doesnt want anyone to steal it or tamper with it.

  • Oswald you son of a bitch >:(

  • See those handles on the trunk?? Why was nobody there. They were called off, and confused as well. ""Hey why am I being called off the limo?????? wassup with that?

  • oH, THIS IS SO SAD, CRY, CRY, CRY FOR THE THREDIIDAE BLACK WIDOW GUY!

  • I touched the real car. I am friends with an employee at the henry ford. He gave me permission to touch

  • Why remodel the limo when,at that time USA spend billions in arms.LBJ could have issues a new limo to reshape his political image.Indeed, LBJ did kill JFK.

reopen the case !!! We don't need to carry this warren reports lies.

  • i for one have never been able to get mu head around the fact that johnson the vp to kennedy who was riding behind the president when he was shot ,could when he was waiting on his car to go on trip they pull up with the x-100 at that time if i was johnson i would have had to take a 0 how could you sit and ride in the very spot where kennedy was sittin when he got killed ? very hard hearted and cold blooded is putting it mildly !

  • Well....I guess like the saying goes...it's better late than never to put the protective 'bubble' top on.

  • America really is a sick nation. Makes me wish I wasnt born here in the first place if this is what we do to our great leaders. It had to have been an inside job, I mean it takes some skill to snipe someone let alone from a moving vehicle.

  • @crashroader 1) Move out if you don't like America. 2) "We" didn't do it to our leaders, one (or debatebly more, but for argument's sake I'll say one) person did. 3) No shit... Lee Harvey Oswald was a highly trained shooter, and since he was employed by the military, it technically was an inside job even if you don't believe in the conspiracies about a 2nd gunman.

  • @waldomademedoit What the hell are you saying we dont do it to our leaders?!!! Have you fucking forgot about Good old Abe lincoln?! He was shot, JFK was shot and other enlightened people were shot. America is nuts and I would leave If I had the funds to secure a life elsewhere but im not that much of an asshole to the point at which I am a millionaire. Dont even get on my case for my opinion cause Ive worked for the government not once but twice.

  • @crashroader true, I agree

  • I can't believe the limo was used after the assasination....god help America!

  • This car is the best witness, or more like the real scene of the crime, to his murder.

  • They ruined this car after fixing it all up. WHY IS THERE A ROOF ON IT??? smh

  • life spoke diffent words than

  • all the presidents would bang a buncha whores in the JFK limo.

  • He was assassinated in a LINCOLN

  • can it still drive?

  • There is a bizarre view that no crime scene stays a crime scene forever!!??

How could you not think of this car or Ford Theatre as anything but a crime scene...

In europe..you have buildings centuries old ..that continue to remain historical crime scenes.

The money saved to be "sustainable"..was not well (not spent).

There is only one feeling I will have no matter how many years from now I will see this car...and it 's not because it carried Ford and Carter..

    Strange sentiment indeed.

  • @zeroceiling of course if it's something like a building you cannot "retire it" but out of respect for Kennedy they could have done that with the car.

  • they should have retired it after jfk got assasinated in it !! :S

  • This car actually remained in service for some time. Jimmy Carter was the last president to ride in it. It's housed at the Henry Ford In Michigan.

  • that's one hot assassination buggie!

  • OH SO THEY PUT A ROOF ON IT AFTER HES BEEN KILLED BUT NOT WHEN HE WAS IN THE CAR

  • @caleb1823 it did have a roof but jfk didnt want it on that day. it could be taken on and off

  • A new window. Car cleaned. Does this tell you something?

  • got goose bumps!

  • America was parralized as Novemeber 22 1963 and was Killed June 5 1968...RIP Kennedys and America

  • in the assination video the windows were down i mean the chances were moderate that there was a assisan waiting They should have covered the car with bullet proof

  • i bet when johnson got it the trunk was painted red

  • America died on November 22nd 1963.. :/

  • @ItsTotallySqueaks No...Kennedy did, and it was the best thing in the world for his reputation....He was a thief, liar, scammer, who came from a family of gangsters and criminals. Now he is a hero instead of a bum.

  • I agree with JumpStreet1983.

This car should have been retired the day of the assassination.

The fact that is was used again shows no class.

Shame on Johnson, Ford and Carter for doing so.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • Adasio For Strings is a great song for this video!

  • Video footage also exists of President Nixon riding in this car.

  • very good car

  • If you look closely at the video when JFK sat in that car, you will find out that the assassination car and the car at the museum have two different pairs of headlights in the front. The real one had two pairs of white headlights and one pair of red lights in the front bumper. Look at the car in the museum! Looks quite different, doesn't it?

  • @Leipold100 The car JFK was assassinated in was completely rebuilt after the incident and used as a limo for LBJ. This could explain why.

  • Comment removed

  • The car should have been automatically impounded and destroyed. It brings back too many painful memories. What is even more disgusting is that future presidents actually used this car. It is disrespectful to the memory of JFK.

  • @SnickleFritz79 I don't know if I agree that it should have been impounded/destroyed??? Definately held as 'evidence' rather than being cleaned as fast as it was & the windshield replaced though. I understand what your saying but you can't just 'not use a car' because a president died in it, it would be the same as not using rooms in the white house because a few presidents have died in there too. Investigate then revamp the car, & just say it's a new car, who's gonna know the difference?

  • @babycakes1402 I still think that the Kennedy family is cursed of God. It has been tradegy after tragedy, from one family member to the next.

  • @SnickleFritz79 Of course they are, no other way to explain it.

  • @babycakes1402 Disagree. I think you can definitely "not use a car" again after a beloved President has literally had his head blown off in it. You can always get another car, but you can't bring a father and husband back from the dead. I don't see why the car could not have been inspected as a crime scene, cleaned, and then preserved as a museum piece right from the start. It's not the same as not using WH rooms because Presidents have died in them. This man was assassinated in this car.

  • @Cathie8791 and dying of a heart attack is a life happens moment. You are right that Cathie. I can't believe I am reading people saying that this is being used post-kennedy. I can't get how it wouldn't bug people too much to use this limo again.

  • so no shit, how long ya think it took to get all his brains n blood outta that hoop??? Im guessing like some ajax and a brillo.

  • kinda ironc that he got assassinated in a LINCOLN.

  • Thats not a limo...

  • FYI: -it is believed that JFK was under medication that effected his better judgment, --whereby certain nefarious SS-agents removed the bullet-deflecting Plastic-top section which was supposed to be there to protect the Pres. from being shot, yet allow the public to clearly see the Kennedy's, --thus also endangering the 1st-Lady! Additionally, the SS-agents were ordered off the rear-bumper stands, so as to assure a clear shot at JFK (Oswald was NOT among the assassins!)...

  • er starb wenigstens in einen schönen auto..... Schicksal...

  • I think it is interesting to note that the jump seat where Connally sat is down and to the left of the rear seat where Kennedy was seated. Wonder if Oliver Stone ever made a visit to this car? Highly doubtful.

  • 2:32 , utterley disrespectful.

  • @Codude180219 you make me laugh

  • Great video filmed with class and grace just like the man who's life ended in that car .

  • Please whats the song!! please!

  • WTF! Why would you use this limo after someone was killed in it?

  • How can we ever forget that tragic day when the entire nation mourned?

  • this video made me cry.

  • @MrSAINT235 - Me too.

  • i miss jfk :(

  • @Legionhelll y would u? unless he played with ur lil peepee an u liked it u weirdo... wat a stupid thing 2 say u ozzie fukhed

  • looks like it but i don't think it is the same look ate the vid and compare small details

  • JFK was shot in a convertible...If they promote this as the vehicule he died in,,,why don't they take off the fuckin top,,..,,,,

  • where is now this car??

  • Frightwolf, not everything should be sentimentalized, yes. But the reason people identify so strongly with JFK is because he was a president that people could identify with and see change being made. He's also the only president in the 20th century that was assassinated (and in front of thousands, at that). If you have such a problem with the car, why are you even on this page? Your comments fall on deaf ears and mean nothing to those of us who truly respected JFK.

  • So if someone climbed over the gate and sat in the backseat, what would they do to you? And are there any blood marks or anything inside the car that shows someone bleeding in it?

  • There is a problem with the color photos of the limo in the Washington DC garage. The rear seat shows a RED blood smear.

That is a huge oxidation problem.

In this universe, over the time from the Elm St conspiracy murder to the garage pictures, the limo blood can not still be RED. But it is. A RED LIE is smeared over previous dried DARK blood stains on the seat.

There were no dark seat stains before Dallas. Most blood was wiped off in Dallas.

They added RED blood to alter investigations.

  • The car should have been completely examined for forensic evidence then destroyed after a few years.

  • Everybody who has studied this knows that JFK was struck from both the rear and also at an angle from the front. The grassy knoll shot wasn't just fiction from so many witnesses. At least two snipers were there in Dealy Plaza. LHO may have been one of them but he had some help.

  • I know the car was new and expensive when Kennedy was shot, but it still should have been set aside the way it was the very day of his death.

  • The car should have automatically been retired on November 22nd, 1963. The fact that Johnson had the stains washed out and cntinued to use it show what kind of lowdown snake he really was. The fact that Presidents Johnson/Ford/Carter continued to use it is an abomination and says a lot about their character, too. I'm sure Jackie thought very little of them for dishonoring her late husband that way, and I wouldn't be surprised if she snubbed them. She had every right to do so, anyway.

  • JumpStreet - I find it interesting how far some people sentimentalize inanimate OBJECTS, ascribing characteristics to them because of an event or tragedy. It borders on silliness. Where does it stop? Shall we shut down Elm street? How about Dealy Plaza? Hell, let's shut down Dallas! In fact, any TV that showed the assassination should be destroyed...lest you upset JumpStreet.

  • @FrightwoIf People here don't seem to be caring about an object. it is respecting that that object carried a human being's life that they loved and respected (and as I keep saying I am completely a younger generation than this guy's main fan base so I can't imagine caring about it because of "understanding the 60s" I just think imagine what it would be like to live in a world where people were so anti-violent (as far as I can understand) that it was considered violent to be violent

  • @AnneLiesveld - I always marvel at how an object

can take on such relevance in the lives of certain

people. For example, the tree in the movie Shawshank

Redemption apparently had become a tourist attraction.

And NOTHING even really happened there! JFKs car?

Yeah, I get it. Still..why not put all of Elm Street in the

museum too? The actual asphalt! And how about the

dirt under it? I mean, historically why is the car MORE

important? It's just a THING too!

  • @JumpStreet1983 Lyndon Johnson either knew the assassination was going to take place, or he even participated in it. Too many variables point in that direction. If that is the case, I hope he is begging for ice cubes........

  • @JumpStreet1983 dude, its just a car, and secondly, have you seen JFK's grave? them man have the grave of a fuckin king. Its huge and it takes up a large part of Arlington where he is buried among men who died before their time overseas in defense of this country.

Trust me bro, he has been honored.

to throw a bitch fit over the fact that a perfectly fine car was cleaned up and still used is just stupid. Humvees in iraq that had soldiers die in them are used for as long as they are serviceable.

  • @Alexn1067 No one here threw a bitch fit. You just assumed that because I don't agree with your opinion. Accept the fact that not everyone sees things like you do. Yes, it's just a car. But if I were a president, I wouldn't want to sit in something that could possibly become my tomb like it did my predecessor. That's just my way of thinking, but I respect your opinion.

  • @JumpStreet1983 That's one of the reasons that I think no president can go to heaven

  • @JumpStreet1983 Fags

  • @JumpStreet1983 Quite certain Ford - Carter never used this vehicle during their terms, ever.

  • @GeneDexter ... Yes, the car was used by Ford and Carter as well as Johnson and Nixon before them. The Secret Service makes the decisions about the vehicles to be placed in service for the president. The Secret Service ordered a total renovation of the car then placed back in the White House motor pool before it was retired.

  • @GeneDexter Hell no they didnt...this was in 63 and Ford/Carter were 73 on...There is no way they would have used a 10 yr old limo.

  • the hair on my arms is standing straight up,WOW!

  • If the American people only knew!

  • is it typical to change license plate numbers on a vehical ever? cuz this plate isn't the same as the day he was shot.

  • IIt's strange that the small lateral window (the one fix in the middle) doesn't match with the movie from the jfk's last moments...

  • The car was actually used for some time after the assassination. The bullet holes were patched, and of course it's a Ford, so it would have ran forever!

  • dude its a lincoln not ford

  • and besides they still let people ride in it that creepy

  • um why is there a freaking roof on it mabey instead of made it with a roof a thats just effing up history

  • has anyone ever seen a photo of the car while in use by the later presidents? They all seemed to use later model limo's.

  • he was shot in a lincoln of all cars.

  • damn they shouldve let the brains and blood on it

  • This car was a crime scene but they screwed up and starting cleaning it the moment it got to the hospital. Probably to cover up so people wouldn't know the truth. The CIA didn't want to get caught

  • sdaven, sorry that you missed the news but they did an autopsy on JFK that confirmed he was shot from the back. The recovered bullet was matched to Oswalds gun that was found on the floor Oswald was last seen at.

So simple yet some people refuse to believe that a disturbed ex Marine could kill the leader of the free world.

  • as a medical pathologist let me tell you that the "autopsy" performed on the leader of the free world was so incompetent and incomplete that congress should have ordered immediately to have the late president exhumed and a proper one performed by proper forensic pathologists.

Oswald was last scene as late as 12:25 by M. Arnold on the SECOND floor on the book depository.

but hey, don't take my word for it. listen to the government. politicians never lie, right?

    Dr. Joe

  • Dr. Joe.-M. Arnold? Do you mean Carolyn Arnold? Nice research. Carolyn Arnold, in a signed statement to the FBI in 1964, never mentions Oswald on the 2 flloor. She suddenly recalls seeing Oswald on the second floor.....15 years later when she tells the Dallas Morning News. I'd love to hear her (or your) explanation for this. Oswalds alibi was that he was eatting lunch on the FIRST floor by the way.

  • thanks for the correction ... guess i'm too busy doing proper pathology work ;)

  • JFK's autopsy was incomplete, at the Kennedy families request. But the x rays, photos and inspection of JFK all prove that JFK was hit by 2 shots, from behind, by bullets from Oswalds rifle.

  • you tell em doc haha

  • Uhh maybe they felt it uncivilized to leave the car uncleaned sitting out there in the hospital ER room recieving area with all those people standing out there.

  • @sdavenport1981 Oh yeah, a shitload of blood in the back seat would have cleared up everything.

  • @auerstadt06 You don't clean a crime scene before it has been examined. If someone was to come and kill someone and blood was splattered all of the wall, they would not clean that until it was investigated.

  • @sdavenport1981 CSI was not on television in 1963. The job of the secret service was to protect the president, not to solve crimes. The crime scene was Dealey plaza anyway.

  • @sdavenport1981 FINALY SOME1 THAT THINKS LIKE ME!!! :D agree with u dude

  • @sdavenport1981 They did the same exact thing with 911. They even bragged about how much debris was cleared out in the first 24 hours. Which was some 140 truck loads

  • @sdavenport1981 There was a rather token attempt to clean up the gore from the limousine while it was still parked outside Parkland Hospital in Dallas. Nonetheless, the car was closely examined and two large bullet fragments were recovered from the floor. They were large enough to make a definitive ballistic link to Oswald's rifle. Damage to the car from the shooting was documented and photographed. After that, it was no longer a "crime scene." No crime scene remains a crimes scene forever.

  • I am very upset that they altered the car and continued the use of it. They literally destroyed a piece of history.

  • @AirBorne2418 yes, and as sdavenport so rightly states, a very important piece of evidence

  • BTW. WTF = World Trade Fucker

  • vangard213 thats BS. Parts of the WTF is still in storrage. I promis you, if Obama is shot dead tomorrow, the carhe was in, the suit he had on, the rifle that was used.. All will be saved (and most likely sold on e-bay).

  • Now days a presidential limo would have been melted down and made into quarters or something and a fleet of new limo's would be made,Shows the difference between back then and today.

  • Why is it not at the Kennedy museam

  • What sound-track is this ?

It sounds very familiar, like I've heard it before. Maybe in a movie or documentary.

  • @VeteransAgainstKonop

    "The Village"

    Andagio for strings

Performed by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra from Oliver Stones movie "Platoon"

  • DoubleR666:

    Thanks for the answer (reply)...

After doing a quick search for Andagio for Strings on YouTube, I noticed another clip in the side window.

It said Platoon... This song was the "opening song" (or music) for the movie Platoon.

I probably haven't seen Platoon in at least 10 years...

  • how or why'd they put a roof on it?

  • What a tragic way to die..

    :(

  • They immediately had the windshield replaced because there was a bullet hole in it. This is fact, there are photos and eyewitnesses. Our country will never recover from this incident in our lifetime. What has happened in this country since is a disgrace.

  • Comment removed

  • The way to determine authenticity is to run the car's serial number at Ford. I wonder if there's a file at CARFAX? (low miles, slightly used, only one assassination...)

  • Yeah, FOrd was on the Warren Commission

  • how is that type of car prepared for a permanent in regards to the engine-can the car s engine ever actually run again-is the engine in the car or was it dismantled? just wondering-nice video btw

  • oh yay the government has him killed then they go on to do this, idiots

  • That sack of shit Johnson ordered it stripped, if that don't spell conspiracy what does.

  • Yes, I saw Obama as a youth on a CIA farm in Hawaii, being brainwashed and taught to recite the Constitution at age 7 so he would excel and have the appearance of a viable candidate for President. I have told no one of this until your brilliant post, stubbyguy. But know the world can know: The globalists chose a black man whose middle name is Hussein as the likely individual to be made President, and scored big time. There is a microchip in "Bo" so they can listen in too!

    You stupid fuck.

  • only one other person in the world ever touched that car and on the same day and looked out that window of The Texas School Depository building. I did it on 11-22-93

  • it isn't the real car..

  • now why would you say that?

  • It was compltely stripped, and reconstructed after the Assassination so they could save money, and reuse it for other Presidents. this car went on to serve Presidents, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, and Carter, before it was decommissioned, and placed in the museum.

  • THANKS for posting-am not convinced that its the original--i have read it was cut up and destroyed--because of bullet holes in windscreen and blood particles etc--the car dissapeared and was never forensically checked over.and suddenly its there-after so many years-

  • i saw that limo when i went to that place

  • W. Greer what were you thinking hitting the brakes? Kellerman was glued to the front seat, and just watched. Very sad.

  • Uh... ever hear about omething called a conspiracy?

  • This car was so heavily modified, almost none of the car Kennedy was assassinated in remains.

  • im not seeing how its not the same car due to modifying?

  • All the original interior was replaced.all glass replaced with bullet proof glass, different front end and grill, tires, repainted from blue to black, different engine. plus two tons of armor plating.just how much of the car was in Dallas in 1963?

  • The car had titanium plating installed, permanent bullet-proof roof, etc. after the assassination. It's not a stretch (no pun intended) to say it's really not the same car as it was in 1963. Johnson (apparently) ordered the blood washed out of it, lest it become a tourist attraction, but the forensic evidence had been heavily documented by then.

  • Obama paranoia abounds, even when we need just a time of solace to look back in history. The whackos never let up.

  • The SS-100-X...very nice car...

  • Hey stubbyguy, Never mind all that, Do you reckon it looks better with the roof on or off ?

  • You thought Johnson was evil, wait till you see the coming civil war in the USA in the next year. Obama is the chosen one to lead us into defeat at the hands of the Globalists. We will lose even more of our civil rights and our country's sovereignty is being threaten by selfish evil men whom seek to initiate the New World Order as predicted to come in the last days.

  • I'm so with you on that one Bro! Anyone who hasn't seen Alex Jone's latest is missing out on vital info.

  • Someone PLEASE tell me the name of the song playing!!

  • Isn't it the song from the movie "The Platoon"?

  • Comment removed

  • Samuel Barber - Adagio for Strings, op.11

Yes it was used in the platoon

  • adagio For strings i hope it helps

  • Good video.

Nice work with the vid and music.

  • Kennedy was assassinated because he wanted the Government to be the issuer of the American Currency, instead of the Privately owned "Federal" Reserve, so what he did was sign Executive Order 11110, which gave the Government the power to print money instead, and back it by Silver, rather than AIR, 5 months later, JFK was killed, and LBJ put the power back into the Federal Reserve, the Executive Order was never amended, a Congressman winked at LBJ on the day JFK was killed.....

  • as an out sider America seems like a very corupt country!

  • Really sad...

  • im surprised they used the car after the asassination of presidetn kennedy either.. like you said.. they should clean it up .. but not reuse it.. it is a part of history.. a beloved president died in that car.. no other president used the presidential box in ford's theater after lincolns assassination.. why reuse the car. i find that sorta disrespectful.. R.I.P. Mr. President

  • Perhaps had they not rebuilt/re-used it, evidence could be found that wouldnt look so good.NEVER has a president been assisanated and his chair/car/suit/etc., been rebuilt and/or reused.

    Makes ya wonder.......

  • And would it of brought back memories of President Kennedy it seems like his ghost haunts the limo

  • wat's the song being used called

  • Adagio For Strings from the Soundtrack "Platoon"...the movie.

  • It's called Adagio For Strings by Samuel Barber.

  • It is hard to believe that other presidents used the car after that.

It should never have been put back in service.

Clean it up, but don't use it.

It became a part of American history on November 22, 1963.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • Lol i was there the day you were filming this if i recall seeing you there.

  • RIP John, you sound like you were a good president

  • I can't believe Lyndon Johnson rode in that car, didn't it bring back haunting images of president kennedy's assassination to him

  • I think Nixon was more afraid of the Kennedys than hated them. You have to remember, Nixon and President Kennedy came to Congress in 1946 -the same year. They would go to conferences on the same train and flip for who got the upper and lower bunk. That is not really hating someone. Later he knew they were competitors, but hate is a strong word. He knew they were good competitors and Nixon didn't like competitors.

  • why why why did they renovate it ,,,,, they should of reserved it with the blood stains and everything ,,, and they should of left the top off ,, then you can see where the bullet holes are and everytign

  • The day after the shooting Johnson had the car sent back to Ford where it was completely rebuilt.. Bye Bye evidence..
