Lubin probably comped Jonny the hat. I haven't checked his sponsor list on his blog lately. At least you reply to posts, etc., while Mr. Jonny-Cam seems disinterested. The helmet looks like it would make an excellent recumbent racing bicycle helmet. It won't do me much good on my Falcon 195 but does look very light and comfy. When I grow up and fly a glider with some speed again (after 27 years) I'll give you a call.
I'm very happy with it. It's not the most padded helmet on the market, for sure, but it's more than just a 'salad bowl' helmet too. The carbon shell is definitely strong, so it will disperse any impact through the rest of your head, and the padding will (help) slow your head down less abruptly than the rock on the other side of the helmet would have.
But best plan is to NOT hit the ground :-) My dad's been hang gliding over 30 years and never had an injury, so I know it can be done!
The first guy that was commenting, has got it pegged. After taking your first flight, you do think, how can anyone NOT want to do this?Everything he was saying,so true..so true..
But we will catch you eating chicken

...announcer at 5:25..."never say never!..." I thought I would never take up the sport until later 2007 at 45 years young.

...am curious if that pilot at 3:11 waited for
a calm cycle and/or unexpectedly encountered (very slight) tailwind; good
that the pilot kept at that long, hard run.

@jwm239 He was slightly pushed out from what I'm seeing, and so the glider did not have the speed to lift him off completely
