@TheOmegaeyes Buy one someone has already built for the same price as a used C6 Z06. I've seen 2 go for in the 40s on eBay recently. The best cars will probably go for more, but if 2 people can get their hands on reasonable GTMs from eBay, I'm betting there are/will be more similar opportunities. It's a waiting game and the money needs to be ready and willing. C6 Z06s are nice, but a GTM with an LS6 will perform more like a ZR1 due to its power:weight. GTM is certainly more unique/eye-catching.

the kit is 19,990 but you need an LS motor, porshe g56 transaxle, and all the electronics associated with that motor and a ton of misc parts from a 97+ vette. your best bet is to buy a wrecked or storm damaged vette and it can realistically be done bare minimum everything for a little around $30k.

it's taken over a year by the time we are done it will be about a year and a half. it was a part time thing, and it's a tuff build. the engine is out of the donner car a 1999 z06 with 350 horse power, you can go crazy soupping up the engine, but you also would have to soup up the tranny and that starts to get really expensive, the car is painted you can see it on you tube, it's a copper color.
