@guilford681 Yeah man, I'm working on doing up a fleet of Kato SD40-2's in Harvest gold, with green stripes, and green, with harvest gold stripes in the 600 series. I'd love to see some heritage units! Sweet! Pan Am is actually doing that to their GP9 fleet up in Waterville. At least PAR is acknowleding where their RR "roots" are & where they came from. UP does the same thing.

@GP9railfan Thatll be sweet! I got a few patched SD40-2S right now. Yeah ive seen the boston and maine one in person it looks fantastic. Those 40s will look good man! Yeah im surprised PAR actually spent the money to do that....

@guilford681 Yeah, I can't wait to make them happen on my layout. Haha. The B&M GP9 you're talking about actually caught on fire a few days ago in the Deerfield yard. Apparently they were pushing her too hard during switching operations. She's being taken up to Waterville to asses the damage, and nobody knows what's gonna happen to her next. Gotta love how Pan Am doesn't overhaul their motive power properly and jut slaps a new paintjob on the units thinking that will fix things. LOL

@guilford681 Yeah, look what happened with CSRR & the trade deal they did with PAR for the Sisters. 252, & 216 were in pretty rough shape when they got them from PAR. All PAn Am did was slap more fancy paint on them & send them down to Conway for them to deal with them. CSRR spent lots of time fixing them the right way. We'll see what happens next with the 'ol 77... Maybe DSRR up in Ellsworth will get it. Hahaha!

Great sounding gp40 see PanAm or what ever their name is almost everyday at work, used to work @ Mt Tom power plant for NU. I don't ever recall seeing any auto flood cars though. the hopper sets that they had where all Ex-Rock Island steel cars that don't have rotary couplers because the plant uses a car shaker instead of a rotary dumper.

Had damged it in a wreck and the motor burned out. Got the motor from Aline and the trucks are Proto 2000 SD50 trucks which are the same as the SD60. The fuel tank and handrails came off an undecorated unit. that a freind scrapped. Had to go this way because Walthers no longer makes these units.

Got a proto 2000 UP SD60 I just rebuilt with a new motor dual mode decoder to run on DC or DCC, new power trucks, LED headlights, a new fuel tank, and replaced some the handrails. I still need to paint the trucks, fuel tank, and new handrails UP grey. It will pull about 35 cars alone.

@UnionPacificBNSF Damn bro thats a shit ton of work. Yeah these have hot wired 9 pin plugs and they have digitrax dh121s in right now but soon im throwing in some NCE decoders. Yeah bro Protos pull so much. Mainly because of all the weight in them. Do you have a vid of it up?

Ill post a vid showing and telling about some of the custom GRS stuff. Sweet man I cant wait. Keep posting vids of your layout it will be AWESOME!

@svinehunden lol....I knew people were gonna be like wtf. Well HLCX (Helm finical leasing) owns these now and patches them with the line through the UP and adds HLCX markings. And of course I have not finished them yet. lol Should have picked other units. to do this with ahah.Thanks bro
