I've always been a CBR man but love the R6 these days, its by far the best looking bike out of the big 4 and the CBR is starting to look pretty ugly. I think an R6 id gonna be my next one ;-)

Why does everyone make fun of Yamaha for the rear fender, yes its ugly, but if you know anything about bikes, they have to do that for it to be legal to sell. You have to have the tags past the rear tire for the bike to be legal. Technically the fender elimanator kits are not legal in the U.S. Look at a Porche, awesome car, wheres the license plate? In the back...
I'm not sure what the market price is now to be honest. I would say late fall / early winter is the best time to start looking, as that's when everyone is starting to finish riding. If it gets too far towards spring, you'll probably see more bikes being purchased, as demand is going up; price will follow as well most likely.
So, in my opinion, the best time is late fall / early winter region.

It's somewhat of a silly design. The new S1000RR and the ZX10 have the same concept, but they aren't as aesthetically irritating.
