Well first off, cool monkey, 2nd I know its late to tell what should happen as he has probably already been punished, however, I worked for a fire dept for 15 years, the idea of photographing any one deceased never crossed my mind, now if they were investigators maybe taking pics for future court proceedings maybe, but then to go show them to your friends, Big time No go. Thats totaly dis respectful to the family and friends of this poor lady, so in ending this rant, I say Massive Jail time.

I am so glad that he was fired ! Unfortunately, I am not aware of any specific crime he may have committed by taking the pics. However, I am a first responder and if I knew that someone I worked with did something so horrific and cruel I would probably want to slap the crap out of them. How dare this sicko exploit the tragic death of another human being. He is beyond disgusting and brought shame to all first responders by his actions.

This is another black eye for the fire service. Being a firefighter I've seen a lot of bad shit, not once did I ever think about sharing it with my non firefighter friends. The public should not have too see what we deal with. Being on leave with pay is part of his contract or at least mine when their is an investigation. This guy violated HIPPA laws and lost his job. Does he deserve jail time? No. Everday people post videos like this and they are not in jail. Its only because hes a FF.

he is a first responder. his goal is to give aid and if aid is no longer possible then his job is to help the next victim- not to document the death of that human victim and then, with no regard for that person or their family, proceed to publish those images for public consumption. in my opinion he should be charged for defamation of character, libel and conduct unbecoming of human being. found guilty. sentance - 2yrs in prison. i'll be willing to bet that every papparazi mofo would take note

He should be laid off. However, these guys do desensitize themselves from what they see all of the time. I don't agree that he should be in jail. It's a civil matter. The parents should have a right to sue him for emotional distress, but outside of firing him and suing him, that is all that should be done. I have seen some screwed up stuff during my time in the medical field and people tell jokes around it because if you dont you will end up killing yourself.

I saw this video a few months ago and it makes "Porsche Girl" look like a Disney movie... This video is so graphic that even the gore sites on the internet have removed it making it virtually impossible to find now... even members of 420chan have commented that it's the worst they've seen and those people have seen the worst the internet can offer. Hard to imagine how her parents felt when they saw that... I'm glad he was fired but to criminalize it would be unconstitutional.

Do you ever have to spank your monkey? LOL ...I notice that they wasted no time removing the video from the internet, yet you can find pictures of the Nikki Catsouras crash all over the place. I can't imagine dayna's pictures being any worse than Nikki's. In her photos, you can actually see her inside the wrecked car and have of her scalp was torn off. Horrible thing to see. take a look around on youtube, firefighters do this all the time. he texted the video to fellow firefighters- someone else posted it to internet. his firing was political

Absolutely nothing. He didn't kill her. He also didn't make light of the accident. It's in bad taste. He broke no law. Make a law against fire responders filming victims. But until then, he punishment should be nothing. He actually did have a legal right to film it because it is not illegal. Is it outrageously insensitive, stupid and sick? Yes. Is it illegal? No. If he had been a passerby and not a first responder, he could have filmed it too. If it bothers you, work to make it illegal.

The sheer stupidity of the firefighter alone is enough to get him fired. I don't however think he deserves jail time. Was there a crime that he committed? No, he did use poor judgement and that alone is a crime-figuratively speaking. What they need to do is suspend his certification for 6 months and require him retake classes. Video recordings on personal devices are NOT allowed! He should be fined a harsh fine around $50K and he should make a public apology to the family.

@onequestionaday I just did and they usualy live in groups of 10 to 15 mostly in Brasil (JUNGLE, RAIN FOREST and Valley. Any way if that monkey never lived in the wild he probably don't know better, but because of ppl keeping exotic pets there is some ppl capturing the baby's monkey in they natural habitat to sell them illegally and it is affecting the biodiversity...

if you're a firefighter, you have an obligation to the public to use good judgement... we're suppoed to trust these firefighters with our lives in the case of an emergency, and then they are going to exploit something as delicate as a death? that's disrespectful to the family of the girl, and to the community. i think he should defiantly lose his job (DUH!) and serve some jail time.

I doubt he broke any laws (bad taste)anyone can roll on to an accident scene and video it is in public. When you start telling people what they can and cant video or photograph you really start to tamper with the constitution I think it is freedom of the press sure he was not acting as the press at the time but many can and do record things. Later there could be a dispute and he could have recorded key evidence to save family grief. Don't shoot the messenger she is still dead either way.
