i feel like i need to make a point---- I know that the mets had a historicallly horrific year last year..however, why does evryone expect that this year as well? We have all our key players back, besides beltran (but i tinhk mathews/pagan will do fine filling in ) . We were missing our most important piece last year in jose reyes..Now with him back, we may flourish..Johan will be back...K rod in the bullpen... Jason Bay replaces delgados power in the lineup..i think were ready to go
I think it's more than just last year. lets remember for two years in a row this team was at full strength and they blew it the last month of the season. In my opinion, this team on paper is not as good as the last years team, regardless if everyone is healthy. I have serious concerns about the starting pitching and 1b.
I wanted Garland very badly, I want more guarantees in the rotation. I was into Sheets, but not for the insane amount of money that the A's gave him, especially being so unproven. 7 million was my max for Sheets. At this point, I don't feel the market has much left, except Hudson and Damon. I think now the Mets should just go with what they have, unless they can get one of those high-risk, high-reward guys real cheap.
Wang would be good. But it is a huge risk. Not as much of a risk as sheets

Well Sheets is signed with the A's now. I really think the Mets should take a shot on Wang.
