  • all i did what blow the dust out with compressed air and then i cut bigger holes in the back vent. it runs quieter and all you need to do is let it run in an open window on occassion this will take in some good clean air :)

  • how do u increass it

  • Good job. No more ring o' death for this one! (ring of death is the error where it shuts down for some time coz of overheating, isn't it?)

  • Dude, the heatsink you have over the HANA graphics chip, can you link me that on ebay or give me a name/code for it please :)

  • how do you fix 0102?

  • Wont work if the xbox is set vertically.

  • wow thats a bulky dvd drive??

  • If anyone is interested in buying a customized xbox 360 then check out my page and give me an offer. Its my first mod so it isnt perfect but still looks nice!!

  • This is an old vid. I did these mods a long time ago, and they worked nicely but they did not prevent 3rings from eventually happening.

  • the 90 mm silent fan you cant even here. and it not only coolers the cpu it also cools the gpu . looks good will try and put on here soon.

  • i got my engineering freind to create a heatsink that goes over the gpu and cpu all in one and abit wider and longer its same hieght as gpu one but where the cpu is i have added a 90 mm silent fan on top and remodded the fan shroud .

  • like that little fan will help all this is pointless. The right way is to tape the top of the heatsink so the air will be forced thru the heatsink but only the top has to be taped also the penny trick will help alot too

  • @30GB No.

The penny trick, just fucks stuff up. It puts unneeded stress on the parts they are attached to, causing them to break anyways,

  • ha my ass it dose 2 years later and its still running strong and didn't even freeze once

  • @30GB time out, do you put it on the X clamps?

  • @MrSkywaka Yes i did

  • sheck my xbox360

    mod out

  • Well definably not the best, but not the worst. Understand, They are software engineers. It took them 7 tries to get windows right lol, but i'll be looking out for the next "Box" im sure they'll get it right on the 3rd try.

  • Where did you connect the little fan to?????

  • very nice mod look up mine its awsome to CIA360MODS / xbox 360 cooling mod wach and coment let me know what you guys think!!!!!! yours is very nice mod to

  • Where do you wire the fans to, to get power?

  • That heatsink is a piece of crap!!! I dout it's even copper... you know if your gonna put a sink there should have put another on the chip that is just to the left of that. it's what i did... So basicly it's an out dated 360 with the old shitty heastsiks inplace with a 2.300. fan and 12v fans another 10.00 for how much dude??? It's gonna break down!!!

  • @5151dusty So your bitching about what he did because it was done without spending 200-300 dollars on a peice of electronic euipment? shut the fuck up, price has nothing to do with the quality, And Yeah YOU REALLY FUCKING KNOW what his heatsink is made of, gtfo your a faliure at life

  • its the crapy modle so its still going to break

  • does tape helping improve airflow?

  • i have that same exact heatsink on that same chip lol

Windows 2000 socet 462 AMD board chipset heatsink rite? LOL

  • where did you get the heatsink from?

  • how'd you fix 0102? and i have an 80mm fan on the glass on the side of mine and it still rroded

  • i had this problem on my falcon 360 aswell i heard it happens if your x-clamp fix is faulty/ or too tight i loosend all the screws a little turn back then re overheated the 360 then it whent away but i want to do this 12volt mod aswell cause the error sometimes comes back lol but im afraid of gettin a ban from xbox live. ive alredi been banned once for usin a flashed console lol so i had 2 buy another lol has anyone ever been banned for doin this cause i realli want to do it myself lol ?

  • What size is that fan? A 40mm?

  • I saw that you solder the fans to one source. Can I solder two fans to one 12v source?

  • I have that exact same green heatsink on there lol :D

  • this is were mine is better all the fans on my case are externaly powerd with a ac/dc adaptor

  • if you think about it the 360 is just a fan with a dvd drive in it

  • No it's exactly the same as a computer.

  • its not even a mod

  • the crappiest mod ive ever seen.

sorry im saying that but its ridiculous

  • If you really wanted to increase airflow, you should use a die grinder and cut away the metal from the right side (side w/o HD) of the case. You can also cut away the plastic from the end plate and install an 80mm 12v fan, instead of the little 11/4 fan. You get much better airflow from the 80mm.

  • man, you were starting to cook that poor thing when you took the shroud out!!

  • what i done was build a device that has a great cooling power with 2 fans with the equal power to 1 stock one so i found the ideal spot and stuck it in.tho i have to turn dat on seperate. I shud have looked at tis 1st

  • I got same heat sink from my old pc's motherboard and now I know were I can use it :D

  • how do you attach it?

  • It has sticky bottom :)

  • How did you make it sticky? Or is it sticky already?

  • It was already sticky when I removed it from my old motherboard :)

  • Ah well, sounds great, the heat sink looks familiar to me, so I probably have the same in one of my old pc's. Thanks for your info. I will install it too.

  • Nice now how did you manage to keep that heat sink on that chip.

  • Nice Mod, I did some thing just like that. I cut a slot on the side of the case and mounted two PC fans to the side of it. I never thought of the heatsink on the chip in the back.

  • Hmm on mine, I removed the OEM fans all together and used 2 PC fans. They are running at the stock 5v from the fan plugs, they are quieter, and have a higher airflow due to being larger fans. They just fit in the fan shroud, where they are square, I used some silicon to fill out the sides to provide an almost secure vacuum.

  • On a side note: I see you added a heatsink to the scalar chip, that was a good idea, also you might want to add one to the co-graphics chip. It is the square one with the silver circular sticker on it, right next to the fan shroud, and heatsink.

  • that's a really good idea. you know your stuff man.

  • Nah, just picked up some things reading here and there. And then working on people's 360s. I really think it was idiotic for MS to not have heatsinks on all of the chips that get hot.

And while they may not get that hot, with heatsinks the RAM drops a couple of degrees also.

  • im guessing he used heatpaste like microsoft used on the other heatsink but i could be wrong

  • How did you add the heat sink. Please answer

  • Hey bro, how did you get that extra heat sink to stay on the chip?

  • Cut out the metal sheilding from the fans and add a 25 ohm 3 watt rheostat from radioshack. It works great and it controls the fans from 5-6 volts all the way to 12

  • whoa thanks ill do that soon to the others i have

  • hahha thanks im not i just study on this but if theres a better fan system this would be a great system

  • so u the reason for the red ring of death is microsoft didnt put in enough fans??? or strong enough ones u should work for them dude u know more than them....the amount of 360's thrown away is huge cause of red ring and u could fix em u r a genius
